My experience of the Brooke House Care Homes since my mum "Marion" went in during early 2026 has been fantastic, the team are caring, alert and responsive and the facilities excellent, located close to my own home, its "perfect" for our needs and knowing my mum is being so well looked after is a massive
bonus and quite literally helps me sleep.
Mum is happy, she is eating so very well (the food by the way is excellent) and has even put on a bit of weight (which was needed).
I cannot speak highly enough about the care home or the staff - thank you...!!!
Reply from Oana Lungan, Home Manager at Brooke House Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your mum is happy, well cared for, and enjoying her meals. In February, Dad stayed at Brooke House for 4 weeks respite. Three months down the line and Dad is an extremely happy resident. Whilst he has a beautiful room, he chooses to spend most of his time with the other residents / staff - singing, exercising, visiting attractions, making friends and, most
importantly, eating like a King! What's more, he has earned the nickname 'Smiler' as he always seems so happy. Whilst he will never 'recover' he is making the most of his new life at Brooke House and speaks highly of everyone.
When choosing Brooke House (over 7 others) I was won over by the manager, Oana, who exuded passion for her profession and compassion for her residents. It followed, for me, that if Oana could lead a team with her principles then we were in the right place. Having now met all of the wonderful staff, I see a home that is giving love and respect to its residents. It has exceeded my expectations and I am happy to entrust them with the care of my lovely Dad.
Well done all.
Reply from Oana Lungan, Home Manager at Brooke House Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are truly grateful to have your dad and your lovely family with us. He brings so much happiness and positivity into our home-his smile really does light up the day for everyone. We're delighted he feels happy and part of our Brooke House family. Kind regards, Oana

Having been for respite care it became obvious that the stay needed to become permanent. Oana has been extremely helpful and supportive to our family at this difficult time. ALL the staff are very kind and welcoming and have helped them settle in! Would like them to join in with more activities but
this might come in time! Thank you

I have been impressed with Brooke House from my first visit when I went to view the home. It is so bright and airy and feels more like a hotel than a home. Compared to others I viewed, this was by far the best. My aunt has settled in very quickly and says the staff cannot do enough for her, which I
have witnessed. She says the food is great and there are always activities to join in with. The staff have kept me up to date with how my aunt is getting on and any health/medication issues, no matter how minor, which is reassuring.
Reply from Oana Lungan, Home Manager at Brooke House Care HomeThank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear how well your aunt has settled and that you've had such positive experiences with our team and the home. Your comments mean a great deal to us. Thank you!

My mother moved to Brooke House Care Home coming up to two months ago now and since the beginning has had excellent care. She is treated with kindness and the level of care is second to none. There is great attention to detail in this home and despite the fact that she is completely dependent and
can no longer communicate clearly or participate, she is not left out of the day to day activities at the home. The food is delicious and despite me not ever asking, realising her need, her food was prepared in such a way that she could eat it more easily. As I say - great attention to detail and praise to the staff who care for her. She seems very happy and settled.

My mother has been in Brooke House for nearly 2 years. There has been a continuence of care staff throughout this period which is reassuring. The staff themselves (I generally visit 10 o'clock, lunch time or late afternoon) are wonderful. I do sometimes feel as if they are occassionally over stretched
at certain periods. There has been a notable change (positive) following Oana's appointment, activities and engagement of families is terrific! The effort made by staff for my mums 100th was amazing.
Reply from Oana Lungan, Home Manager at Brooke House Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words and observations. Mum is approaching her final days having been looked after at Brooke House since April 2022 (nearly four years). The care offered has been excellent and continues to improve. All the staff are extremely friendly and attentive with a good system running and sufficient staff to ensure lots of varied activities
for residents take place and adequate care given. As mum's health has deteriorated, the care has stepped up and palliative arrangements put in place. We, the family, have a great weight lifted from our minds knowing that absolutely everything possible to ease mum's life has been done, and have full confidence in the Brooke House team.
Reply from Oana Lungan, Home Manager at Brooke House Care HomeThank you sincerely for your touching message. Your kind words mean more than we can express to the whole Brooke House team.
It has truly been a privilege to care for your mum over the past four years. She was a much-loved member of our Brooke House family.

From the windows of this well cared for house there are countryside views including extensive well maintained gardens. Residents are cared for by a wonderful team of care workers, domestic and kitchen staff. There is a team of activity organisers providing a range of activities incl. Cookery, arts &
crafts, exercising and one-to-one pampering. The home manager is working hard & has a good rapport with her staff. I am pleased to note that she also makes time to interact with the residents. My wife has been a resident for over three years and is loved as well as cared for. She smiles when the staff attend to her needs. Residents who require medical attention, are seen by district nurses and visits by local doctors.
Seasons of the year are celebrated and residents' birthdays. Occasional religious services are held for those wishing to attend. A quarterly meeting of relatives & residents with the home manager are arranged to discuss and share ideas.

If you are looking for a family friendly warm home for some restbite or long term care it's a winner. Highly recommend.
We had contact with the home prior to looking for somewhere as they involve the outside community with different activities and my young children previously had fun days visiting
with school, summer picnic events etc. We are so delighted we chose Brooke house. The management team are super friendly, helpful and very accommodating of all needs. The staff are amazing, attentative, considerate, kind and treat with huge respect.
Every time we visit the staff check in with us to see how things are, if anything can be improved upon. It's a huge relief knowing our loved one is safe, well looked after and has a really positive experience in the home. From the activities, doctors appointments, therapy, hairdressers, external specialist services the staff do everything so you know its all in hand.
We can't fault the home atall. Its like an extended family.

From my first visit to Brooke house I felt a confident that all my mums need would be met. The professional approach to the care of both the residents and their families is obvious. On seeing the details of the home mum said it looked like her sort of place. It really feels like a home from home. I
would have no hesitation recommending this gorgeous home to other families in need of both care and support.
The staff always have a genuine smile on their faces which is wonderful for visiting families at what can be s very difficult time.

I was very worried about leaving my Mother as she lives with us full time, she is a quiet lady and has dementia, my worries quickly went when I met the kind, caring staff at Brook House. They showered her with kindness, and when I collected her two weeks later I found her to be very happy and clean
and she had improved greatly in herself, she said she had had a lovely time and that she would happily go again for, as she put it, her holiday.

Thank you to all the staff who work so hard and look after their clients as if they were their own, not only have the staff looked after my mother but our whole family and I can't speak highly enough of them, I will always choose Brook House in the future.

Mum has recently had two weeks in Brooke House whilst she recovered from a hip replacement. As she has an early dementia diagnosis and struggles with change, we were apprehensive about how she would adapt to a new routine and environment. We need not have worried, she enjoyed it so much that she is
planning to return for a 'holiday' in the summer! Every single person on the team was so caring and friendly, and we always felt that mum was in great hands and being very well looked after. The food was a particular highlight, especially the cakes - luckily my afternoon visits tended to coincide with the tea trolley coming round!
Very quickly everyone knew mum's name and she enjoyed watching muntjac deer from her window. The activities team were relentlessly cheery with everyone and the carers were always kind and supportive. I would not hesitate to recommend Brooke House to anyone looking for a place where their loved one can feel part of a family, not just be a resident.

My Godmother has now been a resident at Brooke House for just over a year. She absolutely loves the view from her room across the parkland where Muntjac deer, pheasants and a variety of birds can often be observed. It is a delightfull, relaxing setting, perfect for a care home!
Her health is good and
she is usually relaxed, happy and talkative and coping with life well which is a credit to all the staff.
Everywhere is very clean and well looked after. The catering staff provide excellent food. It's a pleasure to visit especially at tea time when delicious cakes and tea are provided!
Their are a wide range of activities daily and trips out for those that are able to do so or wish to partake. The staff also organise various functions when residents and their relatives can enjoy the summer sun in the gardens with refreshments and entertainment .
I feel confident that my Godmother is safe , happy and well cared and it's a pleasure to visit.

Both my parents have been residents at Brooke House since January 2021. They prefer to spend time away from the main areas and enjoy having their meals together, in private, which the staff are very happy to facilitate.
I have always been informed promptly of any medical concerns and the appropriate
action has been taken.
With the idyllic, rural setting of Brooke House, it is possible to observe and, on fine days, communicate with nature within the grounds. This means a lot to my parents as they have always loved the countryside.

My nan/mum had been in the care home for twenty months. She had previously been a different home but Brooke House is, by far, the better home by a mile.
This goes down to the standard off the home to the food, activities and the very friendly carers.
Brooke House really took care of my nan like she
was their family, true care and empathy for her.
I can't thank the lovely management and staff enough for everything they have done and will always be truly grateful.
