I think the care that my husband receives at Oaklands is quite amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and each and every member if staff really cares about him and the other residents. Recently I stayed overnight to help look after Nigel, and realised how very demanding and difficult he can be, and the cheerful, friendly and efficient given to him was truly heart warming. I have every confidence that he is in a safe place, which is his home rather than a home.

My dad has settled in well at Oaklands. The staff are caring, respectful and treat him with dignity and kindness. There are frequent activities for the residents, as well as many involving friends and relatives. The gardens at Oaklands are wonderful, and dad enjoys walking around them, and sitting in the Conservatory looking out at them. The food is of excellent quality and variety.

My 91 year old aunt had to change rooms which is distressing for her but two staff "handy men" and two carers did the job very efficiently and swiftly and kept the disruption to a minimum. I was able to wait and see aunt was settled in . Staff were courteous and knew what they had to do and got on with it. Full marks for that.

Looking forward to visiting again

The staff of Oaklands showed great compassion and professionalism whilst caring for my mother during her last months of life and ultimately when she was on the End of Life Pathway. They kept her immaculately clean, fed her, encouraged her and took every care to preserve her personal dignity. Time and again the staff went over and above with small but hugely important acts of kindness. Medical care was also delivered thoughtfully and was of a very high order. My mother's interests were always the priority of all staff. Thank you.

The residents are treated well where their dignity is concerned as much as possible

We cannot thank St Mary's Care Home enough for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Mum during her 2 weeks of respite care. Mum spoke so highly of all the staff within the home and the care she received. She also enjoyed all of the meals and the homemade cakes. As a family, seeing her happy at St Mary's was very reassuring. One of the loveliest things Mum discovered was that two ladies within the home had gone to the same junior school. Thankyou to the whole team for making her feel so welcome and cared for.

I am so pleased with the way Mum has settled in to her new home. She has responded so well to the stimulation of having people around her. She's forever saying how kind the staff are and they will do anything for her. Nothing is too much trouble. She is happy with the meals and gets all the help she needs. Everywhere is clean + fresh.

On this basis my husband moved into his room there in August. I have nothing but praise for the new home manager and her caring kind staff. My husband has settled well. He and I have particularly enjoyed the wonderful afternoon tea and the cheese and wine evening with live music. Just wonderful to enjoy a social occasion together. With the lightness of touch and generosity of spirit of all the staff this home offers everything needful for focussed care in a warm and peaceful environment. I would recommend this home without any hesitation.

I am very happy for my brother to cared for with the dignity and respect he deserves. Overall I am very happy with the care he receives. The home is kept very clean and have no issues at all. It's come along way since he was first admitted to the home 14 years ago.

My aunties experience was so positive that she cannot wait to go back again! She felt welcomed and enjoyed her respite stay. The meals and entertainment, along with staff interactions, made her fit in very well. It was like going to an all-inclusive holiday she said.

Very welcoming staff for the Open Day yesterday and the refurbishment carried out downstairs is a great improvement. However this is window dressing and I will be more impressed if the home can maintain a high staff to resident ratio. My husband has lived here for 3 years now with advancing dementia and he has always been very well cared for. I have never had any complaints about the home.

My husband was made to feel welcome and cared for from the moment he entered Eversley Lodge. When our two sons visited my husband they were left feeling just as welcome and part of the Eversley Family.

What a beautiful Nursing home, beautiful staff beautiful residents, always entertaining by parties + BBQ, raffles. Throughly enjoy visiting, this place is amazing well done to all the staff for your hard work, you are amazing, keep it up + thank you xxx
