You all care not just because it's your job, you all show genuine empathy, understanding and care for us friends and families, you make difficult conversations bearable. Buckingham Lodge Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother in law was transferred from Norfolk, Norwich hospital to Buckingham Lodge in February 2026, where she was cared for until she passed away on the 26th April 2026. Nurses and carers supported and treated my mother in law with empathy, dignity and compassion. They delivered above and beyond in
their roles.
Buckingham Lodge has had its own problems in the passed but as a family, relatives couldn't fault it at all. It was nothing for the staff to fulfil our needs with questions and answers. Well done to you all, manager, nurses and carers. Keep up the good work.
A massive thank you!
Reply from Bethany Dawson, Home Manager at Buckingham Lodge Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words. We are truly grateful to have been able to support your mother-in-law and your family during this time.

The home has become much more welcoming and homely than it was, mainly because of the wonderful staff, in particular the activities team. One lady in this dedicated team, who has been a great help to my mother over the past two years goes above and beyond to do all she can for the residents to make
their lives more fulfilled. Hardworking and very conscientious. She is a great asset to the home. All the staff are a pleasure to know.
Reply from Kelly Bermingham, Home Manager at Downham Grange Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that you feel the home has become more welcoming and homely, and that our staff-particularly the activities team-have made such a positive difference to your mother's experience. Your comments about the dedication, compassion and conscientiousness shown by our team member are truly appreciated and will be shared with her and the wider staff team. Knowing that our efforts help residents feel more fulfilled means a great deal to us. Thank you again for your lovely feedback and for your continued trust in our home.

I am very impressed with the home. The furnishing and decorations are light and airy. The garden is easy to access.
The care is offered in a kind, considered way. The management team are very professional but most of all caring very welcoming. The menu is great and this can easily changed. Visitors
are welcome to join. I have enjoyed lunch there.
Activities are varied. You can choose to join in or not.
There was one small issue encountered but once raised was quickly addressed.
If this standard can be maintained I would definitely recommend.

My experience of Eversley has been truly positive, defined by genuine care and a deeply welcoming atmosphere. The support my father receives, at any time day or night, it is consistently professional, respectful and kind, which brings great reassurance to our family. What stands out most is the warmth
of the team. Their kindness extends not only to my father but also me and every visitor who comes to see him, especially the family dog. While the interior of the lodge is bright, airy and tastefully furnished, the true beauty of Eversley lies in the atmosphere the staff create.
Reply from Danielle Bullent, Home Manager at Eversley Lodge Nursing HomeThank you for your feedback and wonderful review. We are thrilled that Dad is happy and feels cared for here at Eversley Lodge. We are very proud of the kind and caring team, and will be sure to pass on these lovely words.

My mother has been at King's Court for 4 weeks. She had a challenging time before arriving having stopped friving and finding it increasingly difficult to cope with living independently, She had always said she would never go into a home and struggled to accept the change to begin with, but the fantastic
staff here have gone out of their way to make her feel at home and to get to know her individual preferences rather than expecting her to fit in with a standard routine. The building and gardens are fabulous - so well designed and fitted out. We could not have found anywhere better.
Reply from Claire Brooks, Registered Manager at King's Court Nursing HomeThank you for your review. I am so glad that mum has settled into the home and we will continue to ensure that her preferences met.
Kind regards

I wanted to sincerely thank all the staff who have cared for our mum at The Grange whilst on respite over the last 3 months . The staff have been such kind , compassionate, caring and genuinely lovely people . Mum has loved and enjoyed the company of so many individual staff members. As a family we
have been so pleased with the care provided to mum . The individual staff members who we have met over the weeks have been such wonderful people . Many of the staff have gone far over and above what we ever hoped with the very person centred care and support they have provided to mum and us as her family . The positivity and kindness has been second to none . The staff work exceptionally hard and always treat mum with such respect supporting her as an individual . We have also been very impressed with the activities and social opportunities arranged for residents . The kitchen staff and domestic staff in particular have also been exceptional .
Reply from Kelly Bermingham, Home Manager at Downham Grange Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and generous review. We are truly grateful for your kind words and for entrusting us with your mum's care during her respite stay at Downham Grange.
It means a great deal to our whole team to hear how welcomed, supported and valued your mum felt, and how reassured you were as a family. Providing kind, compassionate and genuinely person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do, so your feedback is incredibly rewarding to read.
Our staff will be very proud to know that their hard work, respect and dedication have been noticed and appreciated, especially the way they went above and beyond to support both your mum and your family. We are also delighted that you enjoyed seeing the range of activities and social opportunities available, and that our kitchen and domestic teams made such a positive impression - they play a vital role in creating a happy, comfortable home environment.

We looked for respite care for Mum as we needed to go abroad for a month. Mum was very reluctant to try a care home, but she has absolutely loved King's Court and didn't want to leave once the month was up. The staff have all been so kind, Mum really enjoyed the meals and the range of activities on
offer. She has made some lovely friends during her stay and is keen to return when we next go away.

Review of

St Clements Nursing Home

from Hazel G (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
My dad moved to St Clements on 9 December 2025. He was assessed by the Manager and with the position of the room and rearranging the furniture they seemed confident and were reassuring that they could meet his needs. Having a diagnosis of PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) - his needs are complex.
He'd been having a difficult time and already moved twice from residential to nursing home in a 6 month period, so we were keen that this would be a permanent home and he could finally settle.
On 19 January 2026 we were given a letter: '28 days notice' to move dad out of St Clements, they decided they were no longer able to meet his needs. We were shocked and had not received information that they were struggling with his care leading up to this notice - this was very poorly dealt with.
The accommodation is pleasant and modern - with a 'boutique' style of accommodation and 'front of house' attitude - but we wanted professional, experienced, personalised care, dad did not receive this.
Reply from St Manager, Home Manager at St Clements Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to share your concerns and the background to your dad's admission to St Clements. I am very sorry to hear how unsettling this has been for you and your family, particularly given the number of moves he experienced beforehand, which we were not aware of.
All admissions, even where a full pre-admission assessment has taken place, begin with a settling-in period (usually around six weeks). This allows us to ensure the placement is appropriate and sustainable once needs are observed day to day.
While assessments provide a snapshot in time, complex or progressive conditions can present differently in practice. Where we conclude we cannot safely or consistently meet needs, we have a duty to be open and to work with families and professionals to find a more suitable long-term option.
We understand how distressing notice would have been and are truly sorry for the impact on you all.

My mother has been in Brooke House for nearly 2 years. There has been a continuence of care staff throughout this period which is reassuring. The staff themselves (I generally visit 10 o'clock, lunch time or late afternoon) are wonderful. I do sometimes feel as if they are occassionally over stretched
at certain periods. There has been a notable change (positive) following Oana's appointment, activities and engagement of families is terrific! The effort made by staff for my mums 100th was amazing.
Reply from Oana Lungan, Home Manager at Brooke House Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words and observations. Kitchen staff prepare lovely meals for the residents day after day to a very high standard.
