We found this lovely nursing home when my dad was to be discharged from the hospital and required round-the-clock care. We have not been disappointed! Each and every member of staff have showed the utmost love and care and attention to my dad and his family. They are all angels! We are so happy in the
knowledge that our dad has all the loving care he needs and deserves. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone. Our dad is safe and could not be better looked after.

From the moment my mother-in-law went in she has been wrapped in comfort and care. The team have gone out of their way to make her feel relaxed, safe, welcome and cared for. The home feels like a lovely luxury family-run hotel and we feel very happy that she's being so well cared for, as she deserves.
The place is beautifully appointed and supported by excellent, friendly and professional staff. My mother-in-law is so much happier here than home alone, and eating so well.

Mum has been in the Downham grange care home coming up for 3 weeks , I had a viewing appointment before mum came to the care home with the home manager who was very welcoming and professional in all aspects of the care mum would receive.
The home manager showed me around the home which was very clean
and tidy, also I spoke with some of the residents who all seemed to be happy.
After viewing other care homes in Downham and King's Lynn it was a very easy choice for me to choose the Downham grange for my mum.
I visit mum most days since she has been in the home at different times of the day and from the staff on reception and all the carers I have met the nurses and the staff who make drinks I cannot praise them enough for being so friendly and welcoming when I visit and mum has been very happy with the care and kindness she receives.
The home manager is doing a fantastic job managing the care home and I would highly recommend the care home to anyone who needs looking after.

Reply from Adeshola Adejuyigbe, Home Manager at Downham Grange

Thank you for such a lovely review. It is a pleasure and a privilege to be trusted to look after your mother. Here at Downham Grange we strive to provide the very best of care and for the residents and their relatives to feel that we are all one big family.

King's Court Care Home

from Clive P (Son of Resident) published on 1 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We visited many nursing homes before choosing Kings Court. We chose it because of 1) The quality and high-level finish of the accommodation. It was bright, well designed and laid out and the rooms on the ground floor offer a unique outside terrace. The communal areas were equally impressive. 2) The
team were all impressive working under what is a welcoming, caring and professional culture led by the manager.
We were not disappointed in our choice. Even though Mum only stayed for 3 weeks until passing, it was clear to us that she received the best medical and pastoral care possible. This despite her serious dementia and other chronic physical ailments.
If I or my wife have to end up in a nursing home, I will make sure it is one with the same excellent design, facilities, services and staff we experienced at Kings Court.

A big thank you to all of the staff at St Mary's. You are fantastic!
Your friendly, supportive, caring and fun loving attitude makes visiting and being a resident at the home such a happy experience.
What a wonderful time was had by all with the Elvis impersonator. Staff, residents and family all
joining in. Water fights on hot weekends to soak staff. Visits out and invitations in for lunch on Father's day. My father has only been a resident at St Mary's for a few months and we are so relieved and grateful at how caring, friendly and enthusiastic the staff are and how clean and homely the building is and how beautiful and accessibly the gardens are.
Many thanks

Downham Grange

from Tim N (Mother of Resident) published on 24 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Over the years I have put a number of family in residential homes. I have to say Brilliant the place is nicely maintained inside & out, and I have engaged with a number of the colleagues who are always happy to help and constantly smile and nothing is too much. I have worked in service industry most
of my adult life and I would have been proud to have engaging people working for me that would have been a delight.

I feel slightly sorry for them as my mother is being a bit awkward, although when I have spoken to her she is delighted to be there and thinks its very nice. That's a bonus in anyones book.

from Dawn S (Daughter of Resident) published on 13 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

This was the most difficult time for me. All the staff were amazing and supportive. They reassured me Mum would be taken care of and safe. Had a tour around the home and explain how/what happens. They let me bring Mum in before her stay to try and familiarise herself with the place and do some activities,
meet the residents. They made Mum feel very comfortable. Always talking to her directly. I did find it a little stressful sorting contract, had to chase a couple of times, not what I needed when already stressed putting Mum into respite. Overall I was very pleased and happy.

Reply from Adeshola Adejuyigbe, Home Manager at Downham Grange

Dawn, I am glad mom had a good time with us for that short time she was with us. Apologies that the contract and the documentation process was too overwhelming for you. We will work on this to ensure every relative has a smooth and less stressful time sorting out the contract for their loved ones. We miss mom, we hope she can come for a visit and have lunch with some of the friends she has made in the home.

When Mum first arrived at the home, it was brilliant. Sadly, after some shocking managers and a massive change of staff, the home became truly awful. Luckily, since the latest manager arrived in January, I can see that everything is picking up. There is still a way to go, but they are getting there.
