My mother has been a resident at the Grange for the last 4 years since her diagnosis of dementia , All the staff shown her nothing but care, kindness and understanding over this period of time
also the support we have received as a family over this time especially over the last few months a big
thank you to the manager for her continued support and as a family we agree that this is the best place for our mum

All staff very friendly and helped me whenever I needed it. Their care helped me to recover from a very difficult time in my life. I enjoyed some of the activities, especially the gardening.

Mum has been in the Downham grange care home coming up for 3 weeks , I had a viewing appointment before mum came to the care home with the home manager who was very welcoming and professional in all aspects of the care mum would receive.
The home manager showed me around the home which was very clean
and tidy, also I spoke with some of the residents who all seemed to be happy.
After viewing other care homes in Downham and King's Lynn it was a very easy choice for me to choose the Downham grange for my mum.
I visit mum most days since she has been in the home at different times of the day and from the staff on reception and all the carers I have met the nurses and the staff who make drinks I cannot praise them enough for being so friendly and welcoming when I visit and mum has been very happy with the care and kindness she receives.
The home manager is doing a fantastic job managing the care home and I would highly recommend the care home to anyone who needs looking after.

Over the years I have put a number of family in residential homes. I have to say Brilliant the place is nicely maintained inside & out, and I have engaged with a number of the colleagues who are always happy to help and constantly smile and nothing is too much. I have worked in service industry most
of my adult life and I would have been proud to have engaging people working for me that would have been a delight.


I feel slightly sorry for them as my mother is being a bit awkward, although when I have spoken to her she is delighted to be there and thinks its very nice. That's a bonus in anyones book.

This was the most difficult time for me. All the staff were amazing and supportive. They reassured me Mum would be taken care of and safe. Had a tour around the home and explain how/what happens. They let me bring Mum in before her stay to try and familiarise herself with the place and do some activities,
meet the residents. They made Mum feel very comfortable. Always talking to her directly. I did find it a little stressful sorting contract, had to chase a couple of times, not what I needed when already stressed putting Mum into respite. Overall I was very pleased and happy.

My mum has been living at Downham Grange for some time now, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care she receives. The staff are exceptional-kind, attentive, and consistently go the extra mile to make sure residents are comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. Mum is treated with such warmth
and dignity, and it's been a huge comfort to see her so settled and happy. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and it's clear that the entire team works with heart. I'd also like to give special praise to the management at Downham Grange. The managers are approachable, professional, and clearly passionate about providing the highest standard of care. My friend's grandad is being cared for at Downham Grange care home, and has been there for a few months. We visited him on a Sunday and he really enjoys it there.Must especially the care given to his goddad is topnotch. Carers are so respectful, loving and quick to response. His grandad looked well
cared for and his room was clean and neat. He actually enjoys his routine activities at the Grange and I most say was pleased with the quality of care at the home. I will recommend this care home to anyone in and around for it's a place to be. I wish they continue in this spirit, and if given long life, that will surely be my place in my old age.

Had my god mother for respite care at Downham Grange. Visited on two occasions and could attest the care given to my godmother was really good. First of all, at the entrance to the home I received a warm welcome from the receptionist, who guided me to my god mother's room. The environment so clean and
was very delighted with the smiles on the carers face. My god mother told us she loved it there especially with the fact that the residential unit is very quiet and she called it her 5 star safe place. Food served was hot and delicious, she enjoyed breakfast and above all lunch as it's always with other residents where they chat. I will confirm the Grange is a place to be and would recommend anyone looking for a hospitable and loving environment to be with to chose Downham Grange.

I would like to leave this review, on behalf of my relative. We did hear a few negative views, but this was not the case when my relative stayed here.
My relative stayed at the home after having an operation done for rehabilitation. It was great experience for him and us family and friends that came
to visit him during his stay at Downham Grange. The environment is clean, odourless and spacious to move around in his electric wheelchair. The staff are very caring and attentive and friendly. I would recommend the home despite the CQC report almost 2 years. Initially the report was discouraging, but am glad we tried and we did not regret. If you are thinking of letting your family member stay here, go and have a look at the place first. You will be surprised how good the place is.

My uncle moved to the care home recently. My family were apprehensive at first but he seems to enjoy it. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. They go above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I would recommend this Downham Grange.

Mum was in for one weeks respite care following an operation. From the moment we went into the home we felt welcomed. Everyone was smiling and couldn't do enough for us. The care was good and staff were positive and respectful of how mum wanted to have her care done. She loved the fact that she could
have a bath. If we need respite care again, Downham Grange is at the top of our list.

In my last role, I was involved in commissioning a new home, developing maintenance, kitchen, housekeeping, laundry and activities. I am now looking forward to my role as hospitality manager at Downham Grange and all the role brings. I am passionate about care and enjoy chatting with the residents, ensuring they have everything they need and finding out if there is anything else we can do to support them. I live in a very small village in Lincolnshire with my husband and two dogs, which I rescued from Romania about a year ago. They love walks and going to the dog park; they also love the beach.
