We are concerned that you feel our care does not reach your expectations. Your mother is given one-to-one support daily by care staff and does engage in activities within the home. She is able to access the local community when she wishes although she has been known to refuse this when asked. The activity team meet weekly with the hospitality manager so that there is adequate opportunity for communication between the team.
The home was not given any specific information around cholesterol levels but have contacted the GP for clarification and they have advised that there were no actions to be taken following a blood test result in August. We will ensure that she continues to have a well-balanced, healthy diet and that we are liaising with the GP on a regular basis as per our normal procedures.
Thank you Bob for taking the time to review our service.
It’s always lovely to hear people’s appreciation of our support workers and nurses.
With regard to your concerns over the terms of the contract, we accept that our communication with the family was not clear enough and have learned lessons from this for the future.

Thank you so much for your feedback. All of us are doing our best to keep our family, such as residents, happy due to not having you near them. Stay safe and keep well in this difficult time.
I would like to thank you for your warm words. You know that we love your mum and we could not see a happy life without her. As you already experienced, you can call us at any time. I hope that New Year will bring us the Covid vaccination and freedom for our residents to be able to travel and enjoy time outside.
Thank you for your warm and kind words. It is a pleasure to look after your Dad as we are having a lovely time with him. I hope soon you will be able to come for a visit.

Having previously worked as the Clinical Lead in a large care home where she was responsible for all things clinical, Adeshola started her time with Kingsley in October at Buckingham Lodge where she was Deputy Manager, but with her skills and aptitude, it was soon evident that she would make an excellent Home Manager.
I have worked in care for over 15 years on the hospitality side of things, which I absolutely love! I like to be hands-on, helping in all non-clinical departments. In my last role, I was involved in commissioning a new home, developing maintenance, kitchen, housekeeping, laundry and activities. I am now looking forward to my role as hospitality manager at Downham Grange and all the role brings. I am passionate about care and enjoy chatting with the residents, ensuring they have everything they need and finding out if there is anything else we can do to support them. I live in a very small village in Lincolnshire with my husband and two dogs, which I rescued from Romania about a year ago. They love walks and going to the dog park; they also love the beach.
I spend my spare time renovating my house, and with my children and grandchildren.
Having joined Downham Grange as a receptionist/home administrator four months ago, she finds joy building connections with residents, their families, and fellow staff members. Before her role at Kingsley, she took time off to assist her father in caring for her mother, who now resides in a care home due to Alzheimer's.
Since 2019, she's been part of Downham Grange, starting as a support worker before transitioning to the activities team.
She values understanding residents' needs and tailoring activities accordingly. Enjoying interactions with residents and hearing their stories, she finds fulfilment in her role.
