I have been Volunteering here for 9 months and love it. The staff welcomed me into the home and made me feel very comfortable. The residents are all wonderful and extremely cared for, the home is more like a hotel , with cinema room, library, hairdresses room, sensory room ect. I love getting involved with anything they need help with, activities, one to ones ect. Please check out Buckingham Lodge Care Home, as its not your average Care home!!!

Simply the best . My 94 year old father was able to be admitted at short notice for a weeks respite . ( he has been in earlier in the year for a week ). The building is immaculate , being purpose built its light and airy , all rooms and lounges ( which there are 5 ) are very tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. All meals are prepared on site to a very high standard . But most importantly ALL the staff are amazing , very professional, yet so friendly , it's like a home from home , with the added benefits of daily activities. Even tho my father is no longer with us , I still call in from time to time , to say hi and thank them again for everything they did for him (and me ). Highly recommend

My mother in law was transferred from Norfolk, Norwich hospital to Buckingham Lodge in February 2026, where she was cared for until she passed away on the 26th April 2026. Nurses and carers supported and treated my mother in law with empathy, dignity and compassion. They delivered above and beyond in their roles.
Buckingham Lodge has had its own problems in the passed but as a family, relatives couldn't fault it at all. It was nothing for the staff to fulfil our needs with questions and answers. Well done to you all, manager, nurses and carers. Keep up the good work.

A massive thank you!

I have visited Buckingham Lodge on many occasions, from the moment I arrive I am greeted with a smile and always feel very welcome.
I often witness staff going above and beyond to ensure all residents are both safe and happy. If I had to choose a home for my own family member BL would be it.

A BIG shout out to Marcia, Terri and all the activities ladies who do an exceptional job delivering such fun and engaging activities each and every day making sure nobody is left out.

My mother has been at Buckingham Lodge since October and since being there her quality of life has already improved. The home is very friendly and welcoming. I cannot fault the staff, they are all wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The home always clean and other residents seem very relaxed and happy. Everyone is treated with respect and dignity. My mother recently celebrated her 90th birthday and they organised a tea party for her and a beautiful cake. I am so happy and grateful to know that she is in a place where I know she is safe and really well looked after. Thank you all so much!

I was just visiting a very old friend on probably my last contact. My experience was as follows -
Reception helpful, friendly all questions answered.
At the top of the lift a lady guided me to the room with brief explanation of what I would find.
Room clean tidy.
My friend comfortable and at rest.
I was offered a cup of coffee I felt at home here myself and not even a resident.

Well done.

My mum was only in for a short while for pallative care, but in that short time her, myself and my family had a great relationship with all the staff. They were all super friendly, caring, professional and knowledgeable. Treated my mum with great care, dignity and empathy. I was worried at first about putting my dear mum into a nursing home, but from the minute we walked in with her all my fears and worries went away. I would highly recommend Buckingham Lodge, Watton to anyone in the same difficult situation

I cannot thank Buckingham Lodge enough for the care and support they have given my Mum during her stay with them. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable and have built up a strong rapport not only with Mum, but with the whole family. It's a beautiful home with fabulous gardens and a relaxed atmosphere, just what was needed to help Mum cope with a range of health problems. Highly recommended!

After a stressful and heartbreaking four months for the family, watching my father deteriorate in hospital, we were all relieved when B.L took him in; knowing he was surrounded by kindness and respect brought us some comfort at a difficult time. We would like to extend out thanks and appreciation to everyone who looked after him in any capacity (carers, nurses, catering, laundry etc) and especially one staff member in particular who we think prepared his body for us to say goodbye on day of his death - means a lot to us to know she was with him, as we weren't.

My mother was a resident of Buckinham Lodge for a few months until her passing in late April '25. During my frequent visits I was always impressed by the professionalism and attentiveness of each member of staff I met and who looked after my mother. Many would go the extra mile to make sure she has what she needed. During her last days the staff were excellent - attentive, responsive, caring, and compassionate. I cannot thank them enough for making her last moments peaceful. Thank you everyone! x

An excellent care home. My Mum was very well cared for. The staff went above and beyond to make her stay comfortable. The home has beautiful rooms, light and spacious. The Restaurant and cafe area are very comfortable and everything tastefully decorated and clean. Just before her passing, the staff were amazing. Their kindness was greatly appreciated.

Mum was resident at Buckingham Lodge for about three months this year. She received excellent care, kindness and consideration from the wonderful Ground Floor team.
In addition, she was embraced for who she was (quirks and all!) and encouraged to be herself.
The team were enthusiastic, good humoured, sometimes a bit silly (which she appreciated) and always tried to get the best out of mum.
In her final few weeks the team went into overdrive to give mum, and us, the care we all very much needed. It was a blessing to spend mum's final days in such a loving and caring environment.
Of course we miss mum greatly, but we also miss being part of the amazing Buckingham Lodge family.

Highly recommended.
