I cannot thank Buckingham Lodge enough for the care and support they have given my Mum during her stay with them. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable and have built up a strong rapport not only with Mum, but with the whole family. It's a beautiful home with fabulous gardens and a relaxed
atmosphere, just what was needed to help Mum cope with a range of health problems. Highly recommended!

Amazing home!!
I am am amazed at the level of kindness the staff give and the welcomeness the home feels


Every single day there is a different activity which leads to smiles all around


I can say this home feels more like a family


I came to visit a friend who was in Buckingham lodge and while

he was poorly but each and every staff member I saw there at the time on showed nothing but care and comparison

After a stressful and heartbreaking four months for the family, watching my father deteriorate in hospital, we were all relieved when B.L took him in; knowing he was surrounded by kindness and respect brought us some comfort at a difficult time. We would like to extend out thanks and appreciation to
everyone who looked after him in any capacity (carers, nurses, catering, laundry etc) and especially one staff member in particular who we think prepared his body for us to say goodbye on day of his death - means a lot to us to know she was with him, as we weren't.

My mother was a resident of Buckinham Lodge for a few months until her passing in late April '25. During my frequent visits I was always impressed by the professionalism and attentiveness of each member of staff I met and who looked after my mother. Many would go the extra mile to make sure she has
what she needed. During her last days the staff were excellent - attentive, responsive, caring, and compassionate. I cannot thank them enough for making her last moments peaceful. Thank you everyone! x

An excellent care home. My Mum was very well cared for. The staff went above and beyond to make her stay comfortable. The home has beautiful rooms, light and spacious. The Restaurant and cafe area are very comfortable and everything tastefully decorated and clean. Just before her passing, the staff

Mum was resident at Buckingham Lodge for about three months this year. She received excellent care, kindness and consideration from the wonderful Ground Floor team.
In addition, she was embraced for who she was (quirks and all!) and encouraged to be herself.
The team were enthusiastic, good humoured,
sometimes a bit silly (which she appreciated) and always tried to get the best out of mum.
In her final few weeks the team went into overdrive to give mum, and us, the care we all very much needed. It was a blessing to spend mum's final days in such a loving and caring environment.
Of course we miss mum greatly, but we also miss being part of the amazing Buckingham Lodge family.
Highly recommended.

I find the staff really helpful and friendly they welcome my husband and shake his hand . My husband suffers from dementia and laughs and the staff always remember him and give him a wave .the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the nurse always make sure on medication before I leave, my husband has
been going 4 weeks a year for the last 3 years and I have not had any issues very nice place would recommend it

An excellent care home. My Mum and step dad were both resident at Buckingham Lodge. Following my stepdad's passing in November, I asked if we could hold a gathering at the home for friends and family after his cremation. I was very thankful and impressed with how well looked after we all were. We were
given a private room, afternoon tea was laid on and we were personally looked after by a member of staff.
Since this sad event, the staff have looked after Mum very well, encouraging her to join activities, offering time, and support. She was moved to a new room and maintenance staff helped make this as homely as possible. Buckingham Lodge is a very caring place, staff show exceptional kindness to Mum and I am always made to feel very welcome when I visit.

Excellent care home from the place itself down to the staff. Wonderful atmosphere as soon as you enter, the workers there are so sincere and it shows they love what they do, and truly care about the residents. The food and the decor of the place is exceptional.

My mother has been in Buckingham Lodge since July 2024 after 2 short periods of respite there. The building in very well maintained with nice modern decor.
The staff are very friendly, understanding and caring to both the residents as well as the residents families and everyone is treated with dignity.
The staff work hard to keep the residents safe and occupied, encouraging them to take part in many activities for body as well as mind. The food is prepared, cooked and served on the premises by in house chef and staff. My mother loves all the food!
Overall Buckingham Lodge in my view is both very well managed and run by all the staff and gives all my family peace of mind that my mum is safe, supervised and well cared for socially and medically.

On arrival at Buckingham Lodge I find the care park and gardens always neat and tidy with plenty of room to park. Reception is well controlled. My daughter's room is excellent always clean and has no odour, the lounge is very comfortable, the cafe and dining rooms are very nicely presented. The entertainment
for the residents is also very good.
My daughter is very happy living in the care home.

We moved our friend from Essex to be nearer to us and can honestly say, it's the best thing that we did for him. The level of care from all the staff was very good, everyone was so friendly and settled him in very quickly. He thoroughly enjoyed the activities, much to our surprise, as he was quite a
solitary man. When we first viewed Buckingham Lodge, we were impressed with the cleanliness and decor and how generous the residents' rooms were. Sadly, my friend's stay was only to be for six months but he was happy and looked after.

Overall, everything has been lovely. My wife has been here for over three years. The staff are friendly and they take good care of my wife. The home is always clean and tidy. My wife is now on a pureed diet and shake but when she first came, she very much enjoyed her food.

Buckingham Lodge is the most remarkable place. The moment you enter you're greeted by kind caring staff, who do care about the residents and enjoy their jobs. They take an interest in the resident, their likes/dislikes hobbies, etc., and then talk to them about them. They somehow make time to answer
all questions/queries/concerns you or the resident may have. Residents and visitors are treated with dignity and respect. Everyone is so friendly. My Dad thought he was in a 5-star hotel, it truly is that good - nothing is too much trouble. They enabled me to go back from being a carer to a daughter and for that, I am eternally grateful!

My mum has been staying at Buckingham Lodge since 21 December 2023. I have found all the staff to be very friendly and caring. Mum is looked after very well. The room is large and everywhere is kept very clean. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.

I have worked in the hospitality trade for 16 years across a wide range of environments including hotels, pubs, kitchens and events planning, I also worked as an IT manager within Health, Social Care and Education with Norfolk County Council for 10 years specialising in NHS integrations and leading on Social Care transformation. I have always moved towards roles where I can truly feel like I can make a difference and be able to see first-hand the positive outcomes of my work and believe that my two previous roles complement each other in my position, allowing me to really help drive all areas of hospitality, wellbeing and activities here at Buckingham Lodge.


I have a large family so my focus outside of work is to spend quality time with them, generally in the great outdoors going camping & hiking and taking part in bushcraft and water-based activities.

Hello! I’ve worked at Buckingham Lodge since 2018, I started on a bank contract as a Housekeeper whilst I was in high school as I moved into college I started to learn more within the home such as Kitchen Assistant, Laundry, Support Worker and Senior Support Worker. I am now enjoying my role as Home Administrator.


Everybody is so supportive and I know who to turn to if I need some help. There are also lots of training opportunities that I utilise to expand my knowledge in various areas.
