Absolutely beautiful place, the staff are so caring and attentive. Our nan could not be in better hands. We visit at least twice a week and the rate of service never changes. We would 100% recommend Buckingham Lodge.

Lovely relaxed visit. Able to bring our dog in which my mother-in-law and other residents enjoyed. We sat in the coffee bar and tea and coffee was made. Very helpful and polite staff.

My parents were anxious and received kindness as well as care. The Buckingham Lodge team have been kind, cheerful, professional and create a really good atmosphere. The food is excellent and it does not feel institutional. The residents are treated like guests.

My dad has been here since Sept 2020, despite the Covid lockdown he seems very happy and settled now we can visit regularly. Staff are all amazing and since the takeover the building and gardens are amazing.

The staff are friendly and patient and provide a good service. The Lodge is well presented and clean. While our relative doesn't make use of the activities available (his own choice), there appears to be plenty to get involved with, should you wish to. The residents would benefit from a lower turnover in staff, but I believe this is an industry-wide issue with care services.

The negatives are half the time nobody answers the phone, especially at weekends. The positives are when we do get through we can talk to mother for a bit. Overall they have a high turnover of staff and I find it badly managed. The staff do the very best they can under the rate of pay they get and under poor management.

My father-in-law came to Buckingham Lodge in January 2020. Suffering from Parkinson's and Vascular dementia. This was a difficult time for the family, but the staff were very helpful, and over the last difficult year, did everything they could under the circumstances. We did get to see him during the summer, and they even organised a little afternoon tea with his wife in early November 20. Sadly my father-in-law passed away in January 21, but we would like to pass on our appreciation to everyone at the home.

It was such a pleasure to visit my mum in the beautiful garden. She kept mentioning the wonderful flowers. The care and support from the staff have been absolutely fantastic not only for my mum but also for us as a family. The surroundings are always clean and my mum looks well cared for. Thank you to all the staff.

The staff treat my wife as a friend and looks after her really well and sees to her every need. My wife is 86 and I am 87 with limited sight when I visit they look after me just as well. When my sight goes completely I hope to go into the Lodge as well.

My mother gets the best possible treatment by all staff members at Buckingham Lodge. She is treated with extreme kindness and respect. Her room is kept beautifully clean and so is she. She receives lovely meals of her choice. Although she has Alzhiemers she is usually very happy. I cannot ask for more!

My uncle was always very reluctant to consider entering a care home. From day 1 in Buckingham Lodge, he considered himself very lucky to have a guest room in 'this wonderful hotel'. The foregoing expression says it all. Thank you, everyone, at Buckingham Lodge for making his last 12 months so enjoyable.

Buckingham Lodge has a somewhat corporate feel about it. This may be due to its architecture and liberal use of magnolia paint inside and out. There have been lengthy periods of having no management. Our first invitation to a formal care review meeting has just taken place, five years after our relative became resident. Staff are friendly and some clearly committed to their role.

My wife and I turned up at Buckingham Lodge at breakfast time - unannounced - to find my mother smiling at a young male care worker who was singing a song to all at the table. I was quite moved by his natural dedication to the job - or is it his vocation? Management needs to nurture this.

I visit a resident and recently was invited to her birthday party. On each visit, I've been impressed with how caring all the staff are and always so friendly. They certainly "pulled all the stops out" for her party.

Staff are very friendly and professional. Always have time for a chat with mum, which keeps her happy and stimulated. She is comfortable here and feels safe and looked after.
Room is a little "tired" but is due a refurb soon.

Management are very accessible and keep us informed of everything that is happening. Overall, very happy with mums care after a stressful time.

The moment my father started at Buckingham Lodge the care he has received has been of a very high standard. Everyone has been very friendly and very helpful with my father's needs. He is being reviewed very regularly and I am being informed of all my father's needs.
