Mum was originally admitted for respite following a fall and pelvic fracture in which she lost her mobility - it was an incredibly hard decision as we had built an annexe but it was clear she needed around the clock care. As a family, it has given us so much peace of mind to know she is wonderfully
cared for, eats well, and is constantly part of the daily activities keeping her mind active and her spirits up which is so important. She has made lovely friends and the staff are incredible. They go above and beyond and there is a genuine family atmosphere. Mum has done so much since she has been there with a wonderful arrange of activities - singing, creative arts, donkeys visiting and even a garden centre trip! This would never have been achievable at home. Her dementia means she can sometimes forget and get anxious but there is always someone on hand to reassure her and spend time with her. It means now I can spend quality time each day with her. Thank you QC - you have been amazing!
Reply from Moira Stevens, Cate home manager at Queen Charlotte Nursing HomeThank you for the really lovely review I will share this with the team this morning and email to everyone. We are so happy that mum is happy at Queen Charlotte.

As usual, I can't speak too strongly about how happy I am about my husband's stay at Highcliffe. The staff are so lovely to him, several of them going over and above their normal duties to do extra things for him. As he's become frailer they have adapted to his extra needs, e.g pureeing his good as
he was prone to choking. Many of the staff including, housekeeping, maintenance and reception pop in to see him and share a laugh and a joke. He loved the staff and I can see they love him. I am very happy about his care and have no worries when I'm not there. It gives me peace of mind. Like I've said lately, even if I won the lottery, I would never dream of moving him. We love Highcliffe.

Since the takeover at Weymouth Manor, the care has improved in many ways, week after week. My mother has made improvements in her general mood and physical abilities. The staff are all very pleasant and good with mum and she is enjoying the various entertainment activities. overall I feel she is being

All to often one hears negative stories about care homes, so when
my 95 year-old father moved into Branksome Heights we were naturally anxious and concerned about how he would settle. From the very beginning, the kindness and warmth shown by everyone there put our minds at ease. The staff didn't just
look after him, they cared for him with genuine concern for his wellbeing, this level of care was also extended to as a family.
They took the time to get to know him, to listen to his stories, and to make sure he was comfortable and content every single day. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
The respect, patience, and gentleness that was shown to my father gave us peace of mind. We will always be deeply grateful for the love and dignity they gave him in his final months.
Thank you to the entire team at Branksome Heights, you made such a difference to our father's life, and to ours.
With sincere gratitude

My father took a few days to settle down, but once he had, he enjoyed being in the nursing home. The staff were excellent and always happy to answer phone calls, and took my father out for a walk on a couple of occasions.
My father was only staying for 2 weeks' respite, but if/when required again,
he will definitely be going to Highcliffe.
Thank you for all your care and delicious birthday cake.

My brother has improved greatly from all the staff and their help and encouragement. He is eating much better, socialising and much brighter in himself. My husband, who has Parkinsons disease, recently spent 2 weeks respite at Weymouth Manor. He had a lovely bedroom with an en suite wet-room. The clinical staff were excellent in their care of him. The care staff were so friendly and caring, and encouraged him to join in with activities. Visits by myself
and other family were welcomed, and we were also encouraged to take part in activities. Tea and cakes were always offered. My husband loved the food, served in the well laid out dining room, where he was given help to eat. He would like to make a special mention of the talented chef, especially his cakes! I would certainly recommend this care home and will definitely be booking a further respite stay in the near future.

Branksome Heights has been an amazing find....the staff as a whole, are absolutely fantastic and make a great team from top to bottom. As a family we are super happy that Dad is so well cared for, and is completely at home in a great safe environment. Would like to also point out that Dad has quite
high standards and often says that you can't fault the home in any shape or form. He also compliments the staff in all ways and is extremely complimentary about the food. As I said earlier, a great find and a job well done by all.
