Gower Gardens Nursing Home

From our first visit, this home felt like five star luxury and it has exceeded every expectation. Having experienced a horrendous care home previously, I have seen both ends of the scale. This place is second to none. The cleanliness, food, activities and dignity shown are outstanding. Without exception the staff are excellent, everyone greets you with a warm smile. They have truly given my dad a new lease on life. It sounds dramatic, but I believe they saved his life, and gave us more precious years together. While care homes are expensive, the exceptional care makes it worth every penny. We are incredibly grateful.

Jean is unable to access bath/shower at home and I thought that a mini-spa session might be worth your consideration. Non-residents could attend for, perhaps, 10am until 4pm. They could be provided with lunch and afternoon tea, a bath or shower, a sleep in a quiet lounge and maybe, an activity. This could be pleasant for those taking part and a breath for carers. Is there a business opportunity here?

My father was only in Gower Gardens for a month before he died. We, as family, were made to feel very welcome at any time of day or night. The staff worked hard to communicate well with us in difficult circumstances, eg end of life. Nursing care, both internal and NHS staff, were well co-ordinated so that my dad's symptoms were well managed and he had a peaceful death. The home works hard to create a family environment which is welcoming and we thoroughly appreciated this.

My husband was very pleased with the care he received by friendly staff. As a first experience of care facilities he said he would use this care home again. He was very satisfied with the food and activities and the helpfulness and availability of staff when required.

Mum has been a resident since September this year at the home. She has been made most welcome by all the caring staff. Showing her respect and dignity at all times. Mum loves all the interaction and activities they provide, that makes it feel like home. Thank you to everyone who makes mum feel special.

Amazing! Anybody would realise that choosing a care home for a close family member is one of lifes most heartbreaking decisions. As a family we are certain the choice we have made is the best for all concerned. My beautiful mom has settled, is thriving and happy. An amazing care team fantastic support programs and supportive hospitality. A welcoming environment.

My Dad has been a resident at Gower Gardens for approximately 8 weeks. During that time the staff have treated him with courtesy and kindness, as well as a lot of patience to help him settle in.

Gower Gardens have cared for my father for 12 months until his death at the home in August. Throughout that time the whole Gower Gardens team have been fantastic, very caring & kind. Dad had dementia & their care of my father has provided my mother who is 96 with a whole new lease of life.

I am most impressed with the location and the facilities here. The staff are most helpful and there is always someone on hand to manage my exits. I think my cousin will find it difficult and confusing at first as she has lived alone for many years.

I visit my mom regularly 3 times a week and I find everybody very friendly and informative about my moms condition and health and call me if there is any change or treatment needed, the meals are lovely and there is plenty of entertainment to keep residents occupied.

Well organised home. Very polite and professional staff, nurses excellent.

Mom came to home July 2 after losing mobility. She was very unsure as this loos came on suddenly. Despite still being in a period of adjustment to her new way of life, mom has settled well she joins in with activities and has made new friends Gower Gardens treat her as though they are her family.

I have nothing negative at all to say about Gower Gardens. Residents are very well looked after. The food is really nice (I've tried it myself) and activities are really tailored to the clients. All the staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Mum moved into Gower Gardens in May 2025 and has settled in really well, better than I could have hoped for, in fact. Mum is eating better, walking again and preparing to join in with activities shortly. I am really pleased and credit this change 100% to the staff completely.

My father was admitted into Gower Gardens for two weeks respite whilst I was on holiday. The home was very clean, enjoyed activities and staff made him feel very welcome.

Gower Gardens is a wonderful care/nursing home. My mother was accommodated there at very short notice. She was looked after extremely well by very caring and hard working staff. As my father decided he also needed 24/7 care, we moved both of them to another care home who were able to provide accommodation in a double room. This was the main reason for my mother leaving Gower Gardens who do not provide this option.

The facilities are very clean, modern and well looked after, we would have no hesitation to give them the highest recommendation possible as we can not thank them enough for my mother's care and well being.

It's a very welcoming, clean, bright residential home. The staff are very helpful and friendly. One does not look far when assistance is needed. Very impressed with the decor. On appearance of the home, it's more like a comfortable upmarket hotel than a residence for the elderly. Would recommend the home without hesitation.
