My great-aunt was a resident here for five years. The day of her funeral I had a puncture in my car, 10 minutes before the cars took us to the church. The next day the staff were amazing, supporting me to fix my tyre. My aunt was very comfortable at Gower Gardens Care Home, she was looked after well
and this has been very reassuring for me as I live overseas! Thank you for all that you've done for my auntie.

I have attended Kingsley's meeting for residents and families since Gower Gardens transferred to Kingsley Healthcare. Several of the commitments made have not been realised e.g. staff on reception during the weekend (can be a long wait to be let in). Also, all residents to have key workers that families
can correspond with during the week. It is difficult to find a member of staff who provides relevant information. Quality of food fluctuates, despite being told that residents would be provided with a monthly nutritional menu. Overall, staff do try to be helpful when approached. Activities are varied and updated.

The surroundings are pleasant. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Mom seems content and happy. I can't comment on value for money as my sister deals with this.

Mum moved into Gower Gardens in February 2020 and we've been very happy with her care. Sadly, the Covid lockdown and subsequent restrictions have meant that we can't spend time with her in the lounge or visiting rooms, we hope this will change soon.

My mother has been at Gower Gardens for nearly three years. She has been well cared for, despite her increasing needs and she has always felt safe and respected by the staff. I would recommend Gower Gardens to other family members.

We moved Mom to Gower Gardens in April 2022. Since that time, we have been very happy with the care given, staff and facilities. Mam engages with the activities and likes the staff. We are reassured that she is safe and well cared for at Gower Gardens. Friends who have visited Mam have all commented

I like my activities to be person-centred and ensure the residents are actively involved in the planning process. By doing this, I can create meaningful and engaging activities that cater to their individual interests, which promotes their well-being.


In my spare time, I enjoy making homemade gifts, socialising with friends and family and looking after my grandchildren.
