The variety of events is amazing, I get regular pictures and although Mom doesn't always take part there's a lovely atmosphere.
Gower Gardens is so well run and this is thanks to a great team.
Many thanks for her consistent care.

I don't need to write much about this company and particularly Gower Gardens. Everything is fantastic, food, care, entertainment, rooms, staff etc. I don't think you will find a better home for your loved ones, my dad loves it.
Thank you for your kind words, we are so glad that your dad loves residing at Gower Gardens - We strive to deliver the best care possible.
Mom is happy in Gower Gardens, the staff are attentive and she loves homemade food. The staff always keeps us informed of events and moms' welfare. Lots of events happening and the bathrooms are good.
Thank you for your kind words. We strive to ensure that we promote and deliver person-centred care and involve not just the residents but the relatives too.
My sister went to Gowe Gardens in May. To start with, it was for respite after coming out of hospital but after 3 months, she decided it would be better for her to stay in and be looked after permanently. As a family, we are more than pleased with the care she gets.
Thank you for your kind words. We welcome everyone with open arms as we truly are one big family.
Gower Gardens is a beautiful care home. There is a lovely atmosphere when you walk in. The staff are friendly and caring towards Mum, and to me, as a visitor. It is so clean and relaxed, with beautiful rooms and surrounding areas outside. Because Mum now needs twenty-four-hour care, I'm glad she is receiving it in Gower Gardens, knowing she is safe, looked after well and happy.
Thank you for your kind comments; we always do our best for all of our lovely residents and welcome all families as we are one big family.
I was quite worried and apprehensive about leaving my 101-year-old mum. As soon as we walked in the lady in reception smiled and after explaining about my mum, she couldn't have been more understanding and fetched another member of staff to come and have a chat. Again she couldn't have been kinder and showed us around. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and all staff smiled and spoke. At the Sports Day that day, it was such a joy to see! The care they give is outstanding and in my opinion, the staff are all Angels! I would have no hesitation in recommending Gower Gardens to anyone who is feeling unsure about leaving their loved one.
Thank you for your kind words and we are thrilled your mum enjoyed her stay with us. We strive to deliver excellence in all that we do for all of our residents.
My Mother was a resident here for four years. She had Vascular Dementia. Throughout her stay, firstly on the ground floor and then later up on the top floor, she was well-cared for and encouraged to make Gower Gardens her home. The care and support shown by all staff, front and behind the scenes was wonderful. Mom's dementia could be very upsetting for her and my family, and the compassion given to us - a hug, a cuppa, and a chat - was always on offer. Whenever any need arose, all were assessed and actioned immediately by the dedicated staff, and we were included in all decisions made. The home has recently been refurbished, and activities for residents greatly increased, I and my family would not hesitate to recommend Gower Gardens.
Thank you for your kind words and comments. We were very privileged to care for your mum. We are one big family here at Gower Gardens and always strive to deliver excellence to both residents and relatives.
My father recently came to Gower Gardens. As a family we had a wonderful welcome. My dad is happy, well cared for and as a family we are settled and feel very confident in the staff providing excellent care and support for my dad's needs.
Thank you for your kind comments. The staff team here are like one big family. I am so glad to hear that your father is settling well.
Overall would recommend highly. Seemed to have lots of entertainment and very varied. The day I visited residents were sitting outside and they all seemed happy and contented.
Thank you for your kind comments, we always like to ensure our home is warm and welcoming and it is important to us that our residents receive stimulation and make new friends.
Overall I am happy with the care provided from Gower Gardens. The staff are very attentive and happy in their care for all residents. Mum is dressed and coordinated with her necklace on as she would have been before the dementia and is treated with respect and dignity. I'm really pleased with the support provided.
Thank you for your kind comments, all the staff at Gower Gardens treat all residents with dignity and respect at all times, we always strive to deliver person-centered care to all of our residents.
Friendly and efficient care home. Very clean, excellent facilities. Came to our rescue when Dad needed to leave hospital at short notice - thank you for this and to one member of staff in particular for coming out to the hospital to carry out an assessment.
Thank you for your lovely comments, our door is always open and strive to provide excellent and consistent care to all of our lovely residents. Our staff team are very proud to work for Gower Garden and we are like one big family.
I often stay for food with my parents and I can say the kitchen goes the extra mile to create delicious food. I also hear from other residents and resident's families how much they like Gower Gardens.
Thank you so much to all the staff at Gower Gardens, I couldn't recommend it more highly.
Thank you for your kind comments. We at Gower Gardens strive to deliver a very high standard of care with compassion and empathy to all of our residents who we all treat like our own family.
My mother who was 98 then came to Gower Gardens for two weeks respite in July 2023. Although she stated, "I am only stopping a week". At the end of the two weeks, it was decided to make the move from her home permanent. Everyone from the manager to the receptionist, carers, entertainment staff, kitchen staff, laundry lady, cleaners and the maintenance man, have all been most welcoming helpful and kind. To be honest she is having the time of her life. She loves all the activities especially the arts and crafts run by the team. She makes badges flowers and bracelets, paints cooking and crumbles, cakes and pizzas. She plays dominoes and bingo and enjoys the singing, tea and coffee mornings, and best of all chatting with her new friends at the dinner table. She loves all the meals, and when I visit tells me when it is dinner or tea time. Thank you everyone at Gower Gardens for looking after my mom.
Thank you for your kind words, we are pleased your mum has settled in at Gower Gardens enjoying her stay with us. We continue to strive to deliver a high standard of care for all of our residents.
I find everything is excellent with care and cleanliness, no problems.
Thank you for your kind comments, we continue to deliver excellence and person-centered care at all times.
My father was a resident for 5 months. He absolutely loved it. In his final days staff pulled out all the stops to get him back to Gower Gardens from hospital and were so supportive. We felt like family from the very first day, and Dad was in the very best hands at a time when he needed it the most. We are so thankful we found Gower Gardens staff were always brilliant and his care was outstanding.
Thank you for your kind comments. All the staff here at Gower Gardens are very passionate about their jobs and we all treat our residents like they are our own family. It is wonderful to see that you are happy with the care that your loved one received here at Gower Gardens.
After a couple of days, she settled in and is so much happier now she is at Gower.
All the staff have been amazing with Mum, I cannot sing their praises enough.
Before going to Gower, my mum would not participate in activities and just wanted to sleep most of the time.
Now she is getting involved, not only with daily activities but is also wanting to help with the washing up and other general housekeeping duties.
All the staff are so nice.
Calm, patient, reassuring and understanding, all the qualities you want from people who are caring for a loved one.
I would recommend Gower to anyone who is looking for a care home. Not only are all the staff fantastic but the home itself is beautiful. Always looking and smelling clean and fresh.
We are lucky to have found such a wonderful home for Mum.

Meet the Team (5)

I’m very proud of what I do, and I love my job. It’s wonderful to go home knowing I have made a difference. Working at Gower Gardens is like having an extended family.

I am the Deputy Manager at Gower Gardens. I have a very rich background, with over a decade of experience in the care industry and became the Deputy Manager here at Gower Gardens in 2021. I am very passionate and committed to providing person-centred care, creating a sense of being one big family within Gower Gardens. This significantly enhances the well-being and comfort of our residents. In my spare time, I like to socialise with family and friends and take my dog on walks.

I am the home Administrator of Gower Gardens. I have been in the care industry for 13 years and here at Gower Gardens since the home first opened 8 years ago. My role involves admin and finance and I enjoy working as part of a team with the all the staff, residents and their families. In my spare time I have always enjoyed gardening and decorating but since a new dog has joined our family, I seem to be walking a lot more regularly.

I am the Hospitality Manager here at Gower Gardens and absolutely love my role here. I like to meet new people and build good relationships with our residents, families and welcome anyone into our home. I manage and address all new enquiries into the home. I started off as a receptionist for Gower Gardens in 2021 and worked my way up to Hospitality Manager in 2023 due to my dedication and attention to detail.
In my spare time, I like to be with my family and we like to go to Somerset and walk our dog along the beach.

I am the Activities Coordinator here at Gower Gardens and have worked in the home for over 7 years in various roles. I have gained valuable insights and knowledge about the needs and preferences of our residents during my time here, and having a background in youth work, this has been very beneficial in my current role as Activities Coordinator. I like my activities to be person-centred and ensure the residents are actively involved in the planning process. By doing this, I can create meaningful and engaging activities that cater to their individual interests, which promotes their well-being.
In my spare time, I enjoy making homemade gifts, socialising with friends and family and looking after my grandchildren.
