About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, confident, and experienced Senior Night Carer to join our dedicated team at Harwood Court Care Home. This is an important leadership role, supporting and guiding night staff while ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care during the night.

As Senior Night Carer, you will lead by example, providing hands-on care, overseeing medication, maintaining accurate records, and promoting a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for both residents and staff.

  • Lead, supervise, and support the night care team to deliver high-quality care.

  • Administer medication safely and maintain accurate records (MAR charts).

  • Ensure care documentation is up to date and accurate.

  • Induct and support new/junior staff to feel confident and valued.

  • Respond to incidents or concerns in line with safeguarding and company policies.

  • Promote meaningful night-time routines to ensure residents are comfortable and supported.

  • Take an active role in health & safety, handovers, and team meetings.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a care home or similar setting, ideally with leadership/senior responsibilities.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care and safeguarding.

  • Confident in supervising staff, administering medication, and completing care documentation.

  • Calm, professional, and compassionate approach

  • Willingness to work night shifts and contribute positively to our team culture.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay

  • Ongoing training and support to help you develop in your role

  • The chance to build your skills and work towards further qualifications

  • Clear pathways for career progression and professional growth

  • A supportive team environment where the difference you make is truly valued

If you’re a caring, committed individual ready to take the next step in your care career, we’d love to hear from you.
