Carer - Nights

Job summary

We are an award winning, 28 bed, privately owned residential care home (not nursing) in the tranquil village of SAMBROOK, 5 miles north of NEWPORT

We are seeking a QUALIFIED carer to join our team on days.

• * The shift pattern is 36hrs (3 nights) week one, and 24hrs (2 nights) week two (includes every other weekend) - we operate a 2-week rota
• * Shifts are 12 hrs - starting at 7:30pm and finishing at 7:30am
• * Crucially we pay for the whole 12 hours (we do not deduct time for lunch of breaks). This is important if you are comparing headline rates. For example at £12.50/hr you would earn £150 in a shift. If you compare us with a company that deducts an hour for lunch and 2x15mins for breaks then that is equivalent to earning £150 in 10.5hrs so our comparitive rate would be £14.29/hr)
• * We are a family run home with a great reputation and many awards, and a low turn-over of staff so job vacancies are relativly rare (we have people that have worked here for over 20 years and Gill our Care Manager has been here for 18 years)
