Job Title: Director/Owner
Joined: 2005
My name is Neil Robson, and my wife (Sue) and I bought Sambrook House Residential Care Home on April 6th 2005.
I have an Engineering Degree from the University of Surrey and a postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Portsmouth University.’
I spent a little over 20 years working in industry, starting my career in design engineering and around 1990 moved into the emerging world of computing, firstly designing test rigs, then dealing with company statistics and marketing. My last position, based in Portsmouth, saw me responsible for the finance systems across the whole of Europe for a multinational company, which gave me valuable managerial and project management experience, delivering multi-million pound systems on time and to budget.
My 'hobbies' are many and varied, but have always included 'DIY'. Having 'rebuilt' and redecorated several houses, I see Sambrook House as my biggest 'project' yet.
I love being around people (particularly the older generation who have fascinating life stories to Other than First Aid and Defibrillator, I have no specific 'care' qualifications (I leave that to the Gill and her team of professionals), I am very 'caring' and derive great pleasure from seeing the joy and contentment on the faces of our residents.
Within the locality, I am also a local Parish Councillor and the Chair of the local Village Hall Committee within Sambrook.
I take great pride in what we have achieved and the amazing team that works herein Sambrook House, and enjoy the challenges it presents.
