Care Assistant

Job summary

We are a 4 Bedroomed care home in the centre of Calverton, looking for a full time care assistant. The duties include helping the residents get up in the morning or putting them to bed, depending on what shift you are on.  Preparing meals. Administering medication.  There will be washing and ironing to do and light cleaning of the residents rooms.  Activities with residents is an important part of their wellbeing and the successful candidate would be expected to partake and encourage our resident to do these.

The hours will be up to 37 per week. On a rota.  A combination of a morning shift which is 8.00 until 14.15 and an afternoon shift is 14:15 until 21.00hrs.  As you will be aware care is a 24/7 concern so there will be weekend shifts and we will ask that you help out when other staff members are on leave.  There is availability to do a night shift every other week too. 

Once you are up and running and confident you do some shifts alone.
