Camellia House is a 4 bedroomed residential care home in the centre of Calverton, just up from the doctors' surgery and local shops. They have been open since 2003 and have a CQC rating of good.

They provide excellent 24/7 care, 3 home cooked meals per day and have a wonderful, well trained care team, the ratio is 2 staff to every resident, which allows them to spend more time with each resident and ensures that they provide individually planned person centred care.   

They have a fantastic relationship with their local doctors' surgery and a frailty nurse visits the home every week to ensure all their residents are well.

They are responsible for the ordering of their residents' prescriptions.

Camellia House currently has available 2 large rooms, one single and one double, not ensuite, but they do have a wet room facility for showering.

There is a large garden, which they encourage their residents to use. There are places to sit throughout the garden whether you wish to be in the sun or shade.
Camellia House is registered for older people over 65. They will always do an assessment visit prior to admission and encourage any friends or relatives to come and check out their facilities at anytime.

Visitors and social activities are encouraged. They provide an activities calendar for onsite activities and day trips out.

They have a home from home approach and have an excellent reputation throughout the village for the quality of care provided.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I found this care home to be excellent in every regard. The staff were friendly and efficient, and always greeted you with a smile. My wife has been to several care homes for respite breaks over the past 12 months, and my experience has not always been good. Camellia House, on the other hand, seems
to provide the type of care that you wish for. Home from home. I would willingly recommend this place to anyone in need of a high standard of care for their loved one.
