Best care home I have been in and I was a carer for my husband for 10 years.
The premesis are clean and tidy with nicely appointed bedrooms. All meals are prepared on the premesis. I would not hesitate to reommend this care home.

My mum has been a resident at Barnby Court for over 3 years and is very happy here. The staff are always very courteous and friendly to residents and visitors alike. I would definitely recommend Barnby Court to anyone who asked.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review and for your lovely words! We've truly loved having mum here with us over the past few years, mum is such a wonderful lady and a huge part of Barnby, she always keeps us smiling and laughing and we look forward to sharing many more laughs and memories together. Thanks again.
The care home, albeit a bit dated eg no en-suite facilities, is homely and comfortable. The staff are friendly, caring and professional, providing a first class service to residents and relatives. Ad hoc activities are enjoyed by the residents and relatives are always invited/included if present. Food is always home-made and varied. Residents independence is always respected, as is their privacy and dignity. My father is well cared for by all.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review! We have loved getting to know dad since he joined us at Barnby Court, he is such a kind, caring gentleman and it truly is a pleasure to know and care for him. Dad brings joy to everyone in his company and always keeps us laughing with his quick wit and...
She initially went in for rest bite but due to her decline in health I decided she needed more permanent care. It was such a relief knowing my mum is looked after so well, the care team at Barnby Moor are so lovely and they look after there residents with compassion and empathy.
My Mum is happy and content living at the care home and I would not hesitate in choosing this care home in the future.
Thank you for your kind words I will pass your comments onto the staff, they love to get feedback of this quality. Mum has a special place in our hearts. She is so grateful for everything that we do, which we find very humbling. Mum loves a good chat with a cuppa and a biscuit. You being such a...
My aunt has been a resident for over two years and the care and attention she is given by all staff is amazing. My aunt doesnt like to join in with others very often, but all the staff take time to spend with her and encourage her to take part in all activities and events. Such a lovely warm and homely atmosphere here and I know my aunt is very happy.
I think I speak for everyone when I say it is a joy to look after your Aunt. Your aunt is great fun keeps us on our toes and we respect her decisions re not wanting to join in with activities most of the time, but when she does she has great fun and really enjoys her time. Your aunt knows us all...

Was really welcomed into the home. I really found that nothing was too much trouble even when they were rushed off their feet.
Overall, very good. Only downside was awaiting assistance to go to toilet. Staff are very courteous and always offering drinks.
Thank you, Philip, for your kind words. I will share your comments with the team.
It is a very nice care home, really nice staff. Lovely garden.
Hi Jane, thank you for your kind comments, we know our garden is a big part of our home and is enjoyed by families and friends when visiting the home. I will make sure that your lovely comments are shared with the team, it helps us to know what is important to both residents and visitors. Cheers, Margaret.
Lovely home, lovely location, great staff.

I will make sure your comments are passed on to our team. Cheers, Margaret.

Hi Joan, thank you for taking the time to write your kind words, it is lovely to hear that you enjoyed your time with us at Barnby Court. I will ensure that your kind words are passed on to the staff. Hope you are still enjoying doing your word game books. Cheers, Margaret.
My nan came in after she broke her wrist and damaged her elbow from a fall. She has been extremely well looked after and cared for. All staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and have made my nan and us very welcome. They are always on hand to speak to and reassure her. Very well-run care home.
Hi Louise, thank you for your lovely comments, I promise to share these with the team at Barnby. It was a pleasure and a privilege to care for your nan, she really did enjoy you all visiting and talked lovingly about you all, she is a very special person. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share Nan's and your experience with us at Barnby Court. Cheers, Margaret.
Staff ignored the buzzer and kept her waiting for an hour and half before she could use the toilet. She could not go to the bathroom herself because she felt dizzy and needed help. On her first day, they did not give or offer mum any breakfast at all. She had a drink of orange juice and that was it until lunchtime. When she wanted to go to the toilet there was no toilet paper and the toilet was filthy.
When mum was downstairs the care assistant told mum she had to walk up the stairs herself. She cannot climb stairs as she has had 2 knee replacements and also is out of breath because of her heart condition and it would have been totally unsafe for her to even try. They left her sitting in a chair downstairs until after 11 pm that night. She was absolutely exhausted and feeling very unwell. She had just come out of hospital.
Following your family members' stay with us this weekend, we were saddened and shocked to receive your complaint and today your review of our service. At Barnby Court, we strive to provide the highest standard of care to all our residents, and it is with great concern that we have received such...
Nothing is too much trouble, very good care.
Thank you for your lovely comments. Regards.
In my opinion, the care home has treated my friend very well and catered to her needs. The staff are very polite and understanding. I have no complaints.
My lovely mum spent 3 weeks at Barnby Court before her death. I couldn’t fault this place, the love and care they show the residents is amazing. All the girls are so lovely and caring. The food is home-cooked. I would recommend this place 100%. I was grateful to every one of them. They give amazing hugs when needed.
A very calm environment for residents. Friendly staff who work very hard, food is of good quality and plenty of choice.
Dad has been in Barnby Court now for nearly two years, sadly suffering from advanced Alzheimer’s. The home is very well-run and spotlessly clean. The residents are regularly entertained with music and games to which family is always encouraged to join in where possible. The food is all home-cooked on-site and is of a very high standard with lovely homemade cakes. Dad is always kept well-groomed and seems very happy and content. It was a very difficult decision to put Dad into care, but I couldn’t be happier with the choice we made. The staff are so dedicated, friendly, caring, patient and always happy to help, I cannot compliment them enough. I would not hesitate to recommend Barnby Court if you are looking for residential care for your loved one.
Thank you so much for your kind comments, Dad is a big part of Barnby and we wouldn't be able to deliver the same level of care without your and Mum's input. Thank you for attending parties and entertainment where and when you can, it is very much appreciated by us and of course Dad. Thank you again for your continued support.
