Activities & Well-Being Coordinator
18 - 24 hours a week (3-4 days a week, across Monday to Thursday) 10am - 4pm

Pax Hill is a privately owned care home, located in the picturesque village of Bentley (in-between Farnham and Alton) and surrounded by 9 acres of beautiful grounds.
We are seeking an energetic and positive individual to assist with resident activities and well-being on our dementia unit, working with our existing Activities Coordinator on the unit and with a whole team of activities staff across the business. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and dynamic with a background in activities in the care industry.
This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being, so creative flair and an imaginative approach are equally important.
Would ideally suit someone creative and artistic but applicants must also have effective organisational, administrative and communication skills. Excellent spoken and written English is essential, as is an enthusiastic but compassionate and patient manner.
The successful applicant will need to be able to gauge how the residents are feeling and learn to pace the activities appropriately, in order to offer a person centred and high-level service to our residents.
Must be IT literate and good with basic admin and with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities programme tailored to the interests and needs of residents in assisted living and nursing home settings.
- Coordinate and facilitate daily activities, including arts and crafts, games, music sessions, and outings that encourage participation from all residents.
- Organise and coordinate resident outings in the company mini-bus
- Assess individual resident needs and preferences to ensure personalised activity plans are created and maintained.
- Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into daily routines while ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and engagement levels to evaluate the effectiveness of programmes offered.
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages residents to express themselves and build connections with others.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home for the elderly or assisted living environment is highly desirable.
- Experience dealing with dementia highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- A genuine passion for providing care and enhancing the lives of older adults through meaningful activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team focused on resident well-being.
