Salary: £12.25 per hour
Perm contract
18 hours on days
Elmstead is a 40-bedded residential home which includes a 12 bedded
safe environment for residential dementia care, welcoming both long
and short-term stays.
The home has good transport links with a
regular bus route going to Bromley and Eltham stopping directly
outside the home, local train station going into London only a short
walk away and, not to mention easy access to the A20.
Elmstead
has four comfortable lounges that are ideal for socialising, relaxing
or welcoming visitors. Other facilities include an onsite hairdressing
salon and well-maintained gardens that include spacious patio areas,
summer house and pond. The home also has visiting chiropodists,
opticians and dentists (arrangement by appointment when
needed).
The chef takes a personal approach to diet, and meals
are catered to individual tastes. There are always cold snacks and
alternatives available throughout the day.
There’s a real sense
of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents
enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those
interests.
Having its own large activities room and dedicated
activities team, allows Elmstead to offer a seven-day activities
programme. From weekly breakfast club, baking clubs, live
entertainment, school half-term family days which involve children
from the local community, craft mornings with the local nursery,
movement to music and visiting animals to name a few, there is always
something going on.
So whether your loved one already has a hobby
or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting
activities to get involved in.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff
- Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms
- You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
