Job Overview
As a Unit Manager at Osborne House, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of one of our units within our Care Home. This position requires strong leadership skills and a compassionate approach to senior care, ensuring that residents receive high-quality support tailored to their individual needs. You will be responsible for administering medication, managing staff, implementing care plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate caregiving staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, ensuring they meet their specific needs
• Oversee medication administration, ensuring compliance with medical protocols and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Provide training and support to staff on best practices in senior care, including behaviour management and case management techniques.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including medical terminology related to patient records.
• Foster a supportive environment for residents, promoting dignity and respect in all interactions.

Skills

• Qualification in NVQ Level 3 is required
• Proven experience in a nursing home or care home setting, with a focus on senior care.
• Proficient in medication administration and understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent caregiving skills with the ability to manage patient needs effectively.
• Strong organisational skills to manage case management tasks efficiently.
