ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Operational Trainer with Barchester, you'll make sure the
people working in our care homes and independent mental health
hospitals have the training they need to provide the best in
person-centred care for our residents and patients.
You will travel to different care homes and hospitals across a specific region to ensure that we always meet our high training standards. As an organisation, we put a huge emphasis on training and development, and you'll be pivotal in ensuring our provision always is second to none. Your specific responsibilities will span training delivery, staff inductions and development, which makes this a very varied role. You can expect to be involved with everything, from planning training calendars, championing e-learning and supporting employees through their induction, to attending conferences, optimising apprenticeship opportunities and analysing our ongoing training needs.
This is a demanding but incredibly rewarding role that will see you delivering exceptional training and, in turn, having a lasting impact on the lives of our teams, our residents and our patients.
ABOUT YOU
You should have a minimum of a C&G 7300 (or equivalent), a
Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or experience of working
in the care sector) and a good working knowledge of legislative
requirements within the care industry. We'll also want to see some
experience of training, coaching and mentoring others, excellent
communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
With a flexible approach and a full, clean driving licence, you'll be
comfortable working out in the field at our homes and hospitals
(staying overnight if necessary) and undertaking shift patterns that
include some evenings, weekends and early mornings we want to give
everyone the best possible access to our training. Strong
organisational skills and plenty of initiative are also essential.
REWARDS PACKAGE
As well as a competitive salary, you'll also have plenty of
opportunity to grow your career in a warm and supportive environment.
If you'd like to use your coaching and people skills in an organisation that provides the quality care you'd expect for your loved ones, this is an empowering and rewarding place to be.
