My mother has just completed four weeks of respite care at Pinetree care home. It was our first experience of a Care Home for respite and we were anxious as to how Mum would find the experience. Pinetree is a beautiful home which felt more like a hotel than a care facility. The accommodation, lounges,
cafe, cinema room, hair salon and facilities are first class. The staff were welcoming, friendly and caring throughout Mum's stay. It was a joy to visit Mum as it was apparent how much she was enjoying the facilities, great company and care provided. We were all sad when respite came to an end.

My mother has been living at this care home for some time now, and as a family we couldn't be more grateful for the environment she's in. From the very beginning the staff have been exceptional - not just professional, but genuinely kind. They take the time to know each resident as an individual, and
it shows in the small, thoughtful way they care for my mum every day. The range of activities is another real highlight. There is always something going on - from crafts and music to cooking and social interaction. This keeps residents engaged and social. It's comforting to see my mother participating and enjoying herself. We couldn't have hoped for more.
Reply from Ramona Gherendi, General Manager at Barchester White Lodge Care Homemany thanks for taking the time to review our service -this will help my team and myself to continue our residents and provide a nice environment with lots of activities

I have to say this care home is the best I have come across. My mother has dementia and has been here since December 2025. She had been in 3 previous care homes which were not good at all. We looked round lots of homes had to make appointments for viewing, but with Hall Park we turned up at 5pm
on a Sunday and they had no problem with it at all. They showed us round and answered all our questions. It was not rushed at all. They even showed us the laundry and kitchen. I knew immediately mum needed to be there. Since she moved in they have been fantastic. The carers are really hot on spotting when something is not right with mums health and wellbeing. I'm so grateful to them for looking after mum so well. Thank you so much.
Reply from Jodie Rakhra, General Manager at Barchester Hall Park Care HomeThank you for your warm and heartfelt review its always lovely for the team to hear positive feedback and i will be sure to pass this onto them .

We have received an exceptional level of care from the team at Harper Fields, particularly on the Epsom ward.
Our family member has been treated with kindness and respect. Within a few short weeks the team there knew her well and are able to judge her care needs based the progression of her illness
alongside the wishes of the family.
There are regular and long-term staff members which means both the residents and the family get to know them well and whenever we have asked for information about sleeping patterns, food intake, medical records, they have been able to provide it quickly and honestly.
After having an awful experience with a previous care home we are thankful that we found Harper Fields and their team, we cannot imagine our family member being anywhere else.
Reply from Hayley Wilkinson, General Manager at Barchester Harper FieldsWe are so pleased to receive your feedback, it is lovely to read that you cannot imagine her being anywhere else. The Epsom team are overwhelmed to hear that they have met the expectations aimed for each and every day.

My sister went into the home for 3 weeks in August. At the end of this stay she was not deemed fit to return home. She has since deteriorated and is at end of life. The care she has been given has been outstanding. The carers are kind, jovial and very patient with her. The surroundings are luxurious
and welcoming to visitors, Tea, coffee and home made cake is on offer in the reception area.
M only concern has been that the door to her room wouldn't stay open. It took 5 months to rectify this despite the problem being brought up on a regular basis

I have visited my friend almost weekly and it has been a real joy to see her within weeks of moving there after a long spell of hospital stays; recovered, restored to her old self. She has been personally cared for in many way. Not just physically with nurses and food but made to laugh - known for who
she is. Each visit I have witnessed the carers happy smiley faces. It is small enough to behave as a family. Wonderful, and I and my husband are very thankful.

Mum was a resident in Paternoster Carehome for end of life care for the last 3 months of her life. The care given by the staff was beyond amazing, they treated her with such kindness and respect and dignity that we could ask for no more. They made what was a deeply distressing and anxious time more

The number of stars I've given in each category is not a reflection of the very good care I've received, but an honest acknowledgement that there is always room for improvement. There is a meaningful difference between good and excellent, and that distinction matters. The home itself is very opulent
and genuinely welcoming for both residents and visitors. A few small adjustments could create an even better environment, though these seem to relate more to corporate decisions than to the individual home. I will be meeting with a member of the management team to share my observations as a service user. Every member of staff has been a delight, consistently kind, considerate, and eager to accommodate me wherever possible during my post operative residency. I heartily recommend it.
Reply from Nancy Walford, General Manager at Barchester Port Manor Care HomeThankyou so much for your thoughtful words. It was wonderful having you in the "penthouse suite" you were the life and soul of Port Manor for your short stay, you kept the laughter flowing with your boundless energy. We couldn't be happier with the care Mum & Dad have received at Wadhurst Manor. They are settling in really well, which is such a comfort to our family.
From the very beginning, the staff have been wonderful. Mohammed, the Home Administrator, carefully explained everything and guided us through the
process with patience and kindness. Catalin, the General Manager, was absolutely brilliant throughout - professional, supportive, & genuinely caring. The nurses & care staff are excellent & clearly dedicated to the residents' wellbeing.
The rooms are comfortable & can be personalised, which really helps it feel like home. A particularly thoughtful touch was the welcome card with lovely words, along with a complimentary voucher for a haircut - a gesture that meant a lot.
The home is always clean & well-maintained. We're truly grateful for the care and kindness shown to Mum and Dad and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe, supportive environment for their loved ones.
Reply from Catalin Gyulai, General Manager at Barchester Wadhurst ManorThank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I have been in this establishment for quite sometime. I decided that its not fair on my family to administer drugs or wash and clothe me since my wife died I could not look after myself, and I cannot cook. Since coming in to Archview I have been looked after with respect, and kindness by all staff.
I now know almost everyones name on my floor, I do not go out of my room much (my fault, I do not like croweds) The staff nad management are very helpfull in every way all nursing staff are very helpfull also
