With great sadness we realised that dad needed care that mum and we as a family were unable to provide. From dad's first day to his last, he was treated with great care and dignity. His needs were never questioned. We were informed of everything that was happening with dad's health. He was encouraged
to join in with all activities some he never mentioned himself. We are truly grateful for the love and care he was given by all members of staff. Thank you.

In the six months I have been here, I have found the atmosphere and conditions pleasant. Staff appear happy in their job which in turn affects residents.
However, I find rotation of staff confusing making it hard to form relationships.
Reply from Elina House, General Manager at Barchester Brampton View Care HomeThank you so much for your review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoy our pleasant atmosphere and that our happy staff bring positivity to the home. Building strong, consistent relationships with residents and staff is very important to us, and we are always improving our continuity of care.

Our relative has been a full time resident at Prestbury Beaumont since February. Since moving in, she has improved hugely, both physically and mentally. All the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble either for mum or for us as relatives. The care and attention given is second to none. The
facilities, food and grounds are more like a hotel. Great thought is given to daily entertainment and life enrichment, she is never bored. All the care staff, nursing staff, management, in house chef and Chris the gardener genuinely seem to have the residents best interests at heart. We are always kept informed of mum's wellbeing and all our queries enswered honestly. When she moved in we were told that this is her house now and what she needs she will always get and that is exactly what we have found. If it could be summed up in a few words it would be "this is a kind, safe place"
Reply from Sophie Kay, General Manager at Barchester Prestbury Beaumont Care CommunityThank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience with us. It means a great deal to hear how well your relative has settled into life at Prestbury Beaumont and that you have seen such positive improvements both physically and mentally since moving in. Creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where residents can truly feel at home is exactly what we strive for every day. Your kind words about our care, nursing, hospitality, activities, and maintenance teams will be shared with everyone, especially Chris and the wider team, who will be absolutely delighted to know they have made such a positive difference to both your relative and your family. We are also so pleased to hear that you feel informed, supported and reassured throughout your loved one's journey with us. Building trusting relationships with families is incredibly important to us. Thank you once again for your lovely feedback and recommendation.

Our mother moved to The Cedars in January 2026. She has advancing dementia and was quite confused when she arrived. Our mother has been able to rehabilitate since January 2026. She is calm, likes the environment, enjoys the food and sleeps well again. She's put on weight and her whole character is back
to the person we used to know. The staff at the Cedars are supportive calm kind and good fun for the residents to be arround. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The environment is clean & tidy. Thank you all for the care to our parent. She is able to live with the dignity & respect she deserves.

Mum, having lived independently for 8 years being moved from London had an episode which lead to a 3 week stay in hospital. On discharge it was decided, by the family, that she was incapable of returning to her home and living independently. After looked at a couple of care homes it was decided partly
due to there being vacancies that Mum would initially go into the Manor Care Home. Since moving in Mum has begun settling in and although "its not home" she has gradually integrated into both the surroundings and with the other residence. Mum enjoys the activities and is quite happy with food and the care she receives. Overall we are very happy with the care she receives.
Reply from Katrina Ball, General Manager at Barchester Manor Care HomeThank you very much for taking time to leave a review for us. It means a great deal to have your feedback and I will ensure this is shared with our team.

Here for a post-operative care. What a good idea!
Loved the room, with its little balcony overlooking fields. Loved the chick hatching and chicks to watch in the foyer.
Loved the quietness of the top floor.
The facilities are top quality, and the staff are so nice and helpful.
One suggestion: There
is nowhere to put soap, a back brush etc in the shower, so some sort of holder would be a good idea.

Our mum moved into Lawton Rise on 30th September 2025 after her Alzheimer's progressed as she needed to move from residential to nursing care. From the moment she arrived, we felt reassured that she was in the right place. The home is bright and welcoming, with light, comfortable rooms and a warm atmosphere.
There were always plenty of activities to keep residents engaged, and the food was consistently excellent.
What truly made a difference, though, were the staff. Every member of the team showed genuine kindness, patience and compassion. They went above and beyond to support Mum and to keep us informed and involved. Their care gave us confidence that she was safe, respected and treated with dignity every day.
Mum passed away suddenly on 20th November, just eight weeks after moving in. Although, this was an incredibly difficult time, we are deeply grateful for the outstanding care she received during her final weeks.
Reply from Jennifer Dale, GM at Barchester Lawton Rise Care HomeHi Julie, Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. Our mother stayed at Middletown for 5 years whilst living with Dementia. During this time, she received excellent care and was well looked after. We were always impressed with the range of activities available which Mum was able to participate in. There is a high standard of cleanliness and a varied
menu - with choices for meals, all prepared to an excellent quality. The Care staff dealing with the residents daily needs are always attentive, friendly and compassionate. We never felt in the way when visiting our Mum and in the last few days of her life, the Nurses - Kavya, May and Priya were extremely professional and empathetic supporting our needs as well as Mums. Their Open Door policy allowed us to stay with her as long as we wanted to. We are pleased we chose Middletown Grange for Mum.
