One afternoon trip in the mini-bus took three of us to the seafront at Exmouth and we walked along the promenade. I was hoping for a second trip to a different venue but this did not happen. Overall the week was a pleasant experience

Mount Tryon Nursing Home is excellent. It's welcoming, full of life and heart. All the staff are caring, compassionate, friendly, respectful and skilled. It's homely, comfortable, bright and clean with some lovely communal spaces- comfy lounge, accessible garden, coffee lounge with home made cake for residents and visitors and lovely big dining room which feels like a restaurant. My husband lived there for the last 2 months of his life and said he felt at home. It was such a relief for me to know he felt safe, relaxed there and well cared for. The staff were very responsive to his changing needs and went the extra mile to support him in all the ways they could. The home also provided Aromatherapy, Chiropody, hair cut and physiotherapy and activities all of which increased the quality of his life. I spent a lot of time there with him at the home and was also equally welcomed and included. I couldn't recommend this home highly enough.

For me, not having unessary noise & busyness is nice

Mount Tryon Care Home provides exceptional, compassionate care. The team looks after my grandmother incredibly well, expertly managing all of her dementia needs. The home itself is modern, spotlessly clean, and filled with a friendly atmosphere. Every single member of staff-including the carers, admin team, maintenance, cooks, and cleaners-is wonderful. Visiting frequently has allowed me to get to know the staff, which puts my mind completely at ease knowing she is in such safe hands.

I moved into Tyspane on 4th Feb 2026 the moment I arrived I was made to feel very welcome. The staff are all very friendly and give a very good standard of care. The activities are very good and varied every day the reception area allows one to have a tea/coffee in a very nice area with free cake. I can recommend Tyspane to any one looking for a care home

It suited my mother's needs very well

excellent location and amazing estuary views from my top floor bedroom. The staff were all very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I only spent 2 weeks here on respite care and will certainly keepitin mind for future longer stay visits.

The home is very well managed and feels welcoming and exceptionally well organised. The activities are varied and caters for all interests. Having the reassurance that mum is not only well cared for, but her happiness is prioritised - is so important. This is a 5 star care home in every respect. All of the staff go that extra mile, and we are so grateful to then for their genuine consideration and kindness.

As soon as I go through the door I am warmly welcomed. I have found all the staff I have met wonderfully compassionate, caring & very special people. Those residents who can are encouraged to join in whatever of the many activities are arranged. It is a very happy Home with staff going above & beyond to make it so.

We are very pleased with all aspects of the care home. Couldn't have picked a better home, all the staff are very helpful and friendly. Overall, I'd rate this care 10 out of 10.

It was the best decision for my husband and myself; we needed support when we first came here. There are certain carers who are really good. The food is appealing and suited to different people.

The staff at Lucerne House go above and beyond to make the residents feel like they have come to stay in a home filled with joy, fun and love. There's a wide variety of activities and plenty of support to help residents participate, and the staff manage to combine care, respect and laughter. It's not just the residents that benefit from all of this - visitors are also made to feel like part of the Lucerne House family.

I feel that my aunty is well looked after and I feel assured that she will be well looked after in a very attractive and well equipped home. The hone offers a person centred approach and ticks the boxes in all areas such as activities and events.
