Overall Experience

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially tracking down lost items.
David was happy and well looked after during his prolonged respite care. He enjoyed being taken out in the minibus to visit shops and garden centres.

Overall Experience

My 90 year old mother Veronica has had a tough couple of months and now requires 24 hour care after living independently for many years. She has spent a short period of respite in Hickathrift and has now taken the decision herself to stay permanently. The care staff and management have all been excellent

in understanding her needs and the difficulties that she and we as a family, have been going through. We have all been impressed with the facilities, activities and quality of care administered by the staff; with professionalism and good humour. It is early days for her in Hickathrift but mum is a sociable person and now has the opportunity to continue to make the most of life. Thank you Paula and your team for your kindnesses to date.

Overall Experience

Mum was welcomed to Ashfields in November and seemed to settle well. She has enjoyed some activities and is no longer lonely she still asserts her independence but accepts help better than she did in her own flat.
Family and friends have been made to feel welcome and visit regularly, seeing her much

improved from previously. All the staff are approachable and caring and try hard to accomodate her wishes.

My sister was a resident in Hethersett Hall from 2018 to the 14th November 2025. She had the best care and attention fr her seven year stay. I have nothing but praise for the staff in every department, During the last days of her life her family were made very welcome to visit whenever and how often

To all prospective residents, family and friends, may I say that Ashfields Care Home in Rackheath is a little gem. I hope that this review will assist you in a shortcut towards a place of care of your choosing. First on my list of recommendations is that good quality of care is displayed by regular

staff who provide consistency and familiarity they are very patient and treat all residents with dignity 10/10. The staff are flexible and work as a team with good management in a friendly environment. Ashfields is clean and secure with good facilities in a nice setting. The whole team are always helpful over any concerns that relatives may have and are proactive.

Overall Experience

Outstanding care is provided at Barchester Hethersett Hall. The accommodation is well maintained, spacious + homely rooms. All the staff are exceptionally dedicated to the wellbeing of the residents, showing support + compassion. There is a wide range of activities which certainly enhances my fathers

well being, joining in + participating in things he wouldn't have if still in his own home. I thank all members of the team to ensuring my dad has a great quality of life + I definitely recommend Hethersett Hall for respite or a permanent stay.

Hi, I have visited a couple of friends weekly in October and they find the care home excellent with most helpful staff. I too have found the staff all helpful and willing to help. As my married friends are fairly new residents it's reassuring that they have both settled in well. Excellent.

This is our second month, so sorry my husband is now in a nursing home due to his falling too often. Whenever I have been able to attend some more of the activities in The Warren which suits me and keeps my interests activated. My mum is enjoying the Warren as her new home.
The staff are brilliant and always friendly and helpful.
She particularly enjoys the activities - especially the outings. Kirstie is fantastic.
I feel mum's room is a little small. It would be great if she had more space in her room to do her own crafts.

She surprised us with a session of tarot and palm reading this morning. The residents enjoyed themselves so much. There is never a dull moment at the Warren.

Overall Experience

When my family member got diagnosed with dementia we were always worried about finding the right home. The staff and management helped to make the transition as smooth as possible for both my family member and the rest of us. During his time here they have been so supportive and nothing has been too

much trouble for them. As a family we can't thank them enough for everything.

Overall Experience

You have worked a miracle with Marjorie. She now goes out on outings, which was unheard of before she moved into Hickathrift - she socialises, eating her meals in the dining room with other people, a contrast to when she was at home, when she expected her son to cook a full Sunday roast every day, and

if she didn't get it would throw her food at us or onto the floor. She is sleeping well - she has a regular shower now, which was unheard of before - she dosn't swear anymore - well not much. The change is all down to your love and patience and understanding.

Overall Experience

I am so impressed with the care my father has received. The process started with a stressful need to arrange urgent, short-term care after he was being discharged from hospital following two falls, but the manager instantly made me feel listened to and supported.
The assessment was handled immediately

and efficiently. My father was then welcomed into a spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated room with an en-suite. The excellence of the management team's professionalism and efficiency shines through.
Beyond the logistics, every practitioner I've encountered during my visits has been welcoming, highly informative, and genuinely focused on the residents' wellbeing. Even my usually picky father has been very complimentary about all the meals! Thanks to this supportive environment, he is now on the way to making progress in his recovery.
