Arrangements were made for my mother to stay for 11 nights respite whilst I was away on holiday.
The manager was very helpful, visiting mum at home to assess. A room was guaranteed in May.

Upon arrival the staff were brilliant, initially a room was available along the corridor. Staff saw she was struggling to cope with the distance and immediately set up a nearer bedroom to facilities & mums friend. Nothing was too much trouble, food was wonderful and staff were so kind and cheerful, also to us as visitors. Excellent!

Mum moved into the home in June the staff have been amazing, getting her settled in, she is really enjoying the company and all the activities and outings they have. Hickathrift was always going to be my first choice when the time came for mum to go into care.

My only concern is the toilet in her room the flooring edging is coming away and does not reflect how well the rest of the home looks!

Always greeted with happy smiles from all the staff and this obviously reflects on residents.
We had reservations at first as it has been a very difficult decision to make for my sister but she is very happy and settled and has made friends with other residents.

We are happy that we have made the right decision for her wellbeing and safety.

Hickathrift House welcomed my dad into their 'Memory lane' facility with a warm and caring welcome. He has a good room with views and enjoys watching the birds from his window, and has made many friends since he moved in.
The staff and managmet team always have time for him and us as a family and that means so much when you are letting others care for your loved one.

The facilities and activities are excellent and my dad loves getting involved and helping; he's really settled and happy, which means the world to him and us. Forever grateful.

It is a real pleasure to visit my father in Hethersett Hall and see him looking so well and happy. All staff without exception have a ready smile and a moment to chat. HH has recognised what is important to my father and shows him great respect but without an absence of humour and apparent genuine affection. HH is a model care home, an example of how care should be. Well done to all.

I am the daughter of a resident & Mum was made very welcome when she joined the home. All the staff are very caring & always friendly & jolly with the residents, & us too. We now know all the carers & feel very comfortable visiting.

Welcoming helpful staff nothing too much trouble
Food freshly prepare and good variety.
Care for my husband (wheelchair bound) was exceptionally good, treated with respect at all times
Accommodation excellent

Mum has been in the home since February and is very happy.
She has been on outings which she really enjoyed.
She loves it when the animals come to visit.

My father has been at Ritson Lodge of eight weeks now, and I could not be happier. Living in another country, I feel the safety for my father, plus the support my mother recives in abundance gives me ultimate piece of mind. The facility and the staff are first rate.

I cannot recommend Ritson Lodge enough. We looked at all available care homes in the area, and Ritson was by far the best. I thank everyone for the care they give my father.

Every member of staff are very kid and courteous all the time and every occassion that I speak to them. This "rubs off" to each other so that the whole atmosphere is affected giving a loving caring result.

Also since the Dr diagnosed a Hiatus Henia with me. The cheffs have been very kind in providing food which suits me. One is kind enough to buy Feta cheese on her way to work. Because that suits me very well.

Mum has been here over 3 years now, she is very happy being here, the staff are brilliant with her, sorting out all her needs, all her personal things if they have to, she is still reasonably independant too. Woodside was a god send I couldn't believe my luck when Sarah and her team welcomed Brian ( my husband) in .The last 18 months have been extremely difficult for me with health problems myself and Brian with Dementia . This last year has changed everything Sarah and every single person in the team at Woodside have time , patience ,love ,caring and compassion.
Believe me that's rare the last care home Brian was in they got rid of him when the first problem occurred.
So I love every minute spent in Woodside it's
like home from home .

From entering the carehome you are greeted with a cheerful, friendly smile. You are made to feel so welcome.. it's such a lovely atmosphere. Like home from home. Everybody are so kind as you walk through. They all stop and ask how you are. The place is clean and fresh each day. The care they give my husband is exemplary. Even maintenance staff have time for you. They are all such kind, caring lovely people.
