Unfortunately Dad only at home for five weeks but during this time he was well cared for. As he wasnt eating chef spent time discussing what could do to get him eating. Home is lovely and all staff kind and caring. When Dad passed they treated him with the utmost respect.

My husband recently spent two weeks at Boroughbridge Manor. I visited him twice and was very pleased by his contentment. The staff treated him extremely well, leaving him to do his 'own thing' when he prepared to sit in his room. He was clean, well fed & watered.
I appreciated the break from daily

Change of Management 12 months ago. Issues have all been ironed out, and the care home is now run exceptionally well. Activities are good, and there is a programme of redecoration of the public areas due to commence shortly.
The staff are amazing, very patient and caring with my mum, who is now very
frail and requires more attention, after spending 2.5 years at The Manor.
I would highly recommend this home.

My mum moved in here a few weeks ago. She has settled in well and is so much better in herself since she has been there. The care home and surroundings are lovely, and there are plenty of activities going on for lots of different interests. Mum is very much treated as an individual and not a number,
and all the staff are so caring and lovely with her. It was her birthday a few days ago so a few of us booked the private dining room and went for a really good Sunday lunch with her which made her birthday feel really special to her. We will be booking in for another Sunday lunch again in due course. Would highly recommend this care home, the manager and the team have been so welcoming and caring to not just mum, but us as family too and it's lovely she is getting all the care she needs

The staff at Mount Vale are very caring but the home definitely has insufficient staff mainly because some of the residents with dementia on the the 1st floor need a lot of care and attention. I usually visit in an afternoon and it is often impossible to find help if my husband needs to be cleaned or
changed. I sometimes do it myself but at 87 years old I find it difficult and sometimes staff have to stay in the lounge "on watch" as residents can't be left safely. An extra member of staff would really help. Sometimes it is obvious my husband hasn't had a shave for 3 days. I am grateful for all that the staff do but considering the cost of care it would be nice if he had a more frequent shave and perhaps his pad could be checked now + again

My sister moved in just last week 2-7 2025 and the change in her is incredible - from day 1 the staff have been nothing but amazing - extremely friendly, couldn't do enough for us, very supportive - I went to visit her at the weekend, she's bedbound, in her last home she was always just dressed in a
nightie 24/7, she said with a smile on her face "Look what I'm wearing", pulled the quilt back and she was fully dressed, wonderful, we went to visit her today and for the 1st time in years she'd had a shower, was sat in her wheelchair waiting to go to the hairdressers. The family cannot thank the staff enough.

Very happy with our choice this was a big deal for us. All staff kind and willing to have a chat. Would like to see more activities that have the

This home is in a beautiful setting. The accommodation and facilities are 5 star.
Beautiful rooms, lovely furnishings and immaculately kept.
But what makes this home exceptional is the kind, considerate and very supportive staff.

My wife has been in Mount Vale for 3 years. During that time I have visited her most days. To my great surprise she settled in straightaway & has remained very settled ever since. This is a tribute to the love & care given her by the staff. I couldn't hope for a better place for her.

Nothing but praise for this wonderful, welcoming care home. Staff are very professional, so caring and helpful. Mum settled straight away, has a lovely room and plenty of space to walk around, including an enclosed outside area. Relatives can come and go with ease, with tea/coffee making facilities.
So pleased Mum now has the care she deserves in the right place for her.

Staff friendly and provide the peaceful atmosphere. Residents have their own room which is a good size, with en-suite shower. Outside there is a walk around garden leading from the conservatory and places to sit and chat. The dining area was clean and there was a good selection on the menu's

My sister joined Meadowbeck Care Home because of serious health problems and multiple hospital admissions. Her care has been exceptional. The nursing care has stabilised her health. The quality of the food is too good - so her weight has increased! The social activities organised throughout the week
have stimulated interests and improved her mental health. In particular my sister has formed a strong bond with the activities co-ordinator who was responsible for organising a delicious afternoon tea for the family to celebrate my sister's birthday. As a result of the friendship she has found with the staff and residents she is a new person - unrecognisable from the one who joined originally.
Her family are delighted with the care of the team at Meadowbeck Care Home.

My mom has been a resident of LBG Care Home for almost three years now. In that time, she has been showered with support, laughter, endless cups of tea, lovely meals, fun activities, enjoyable trips and out, and most importantly, love. It is never an easy decision to place your loved one in a care home,
but from the beginning, we knew that she was safe, well looked after by wonderful staff and above all genuinely cared for. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.

My Dad has been a resident at Scarborough Hall for just over 3 years now. He settled well and has been very happy. Staff are friendly, efficient and caring. The home has a very good activities team and Dad has been involved in many events and outings. The home have also kindly invited family to join
Dad for special occasions including meals and a party for his 100th birthday. Facilities are good and the home is well appointed. Families of residents are kept well informed with regular emails and updates in addition to an annual review of the residents care. Weekly activities programme is also sent to families with open invites to join loved ones for events.

Leeming Bar Grange provides both good care and a welcoming, homely feel. Staff are genuinely caring and look after my mum with compassion and care.
