The care of my husband in this beautiful home continues to be excellant. Friendly, lovely staff who care for him with love and humour. They always make me feel so welcome. Plenty of hugs, cups of coffee and cake. Marvellous!
Thank you so much for the lovely review of our beautiful home, I will be sure to pass on your kind words to the team
My mother is extremely well cared for by a dedicated and compassionate team. The excellent facilities, outstanding food, regular activities with entertainment and immaculate surroundings create a welcoming environment where residents are treated with dignity and respect.
Kind regards
Rebekka
My only concern has been that the door to her room wouldn't stay open. It took 5 months to rectify this despite the problem being brought up on a regular basis.
Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Thank you also for your positive comments regarding our home and team who work hard to deliver high standards of quality care at all times. I will pass on your feedback to the team
My mum moved in here a few weeks ago. She has settled in well and is so much better in herself since she has been there. The care home and surroundings are lovely, and there are plenty of activities going on for lots of different interests. Mum is very much treated as an individual and not a number, and all the staff are so caring and lovely with her. It was her birthday a few days ago so a few of us booked the private dining room and went for a really good Sunday lunch with her which made her birthday feel really special to her. We will be booking in for another Sunday lunch again in due course. Would highly recommend this care home, the manager and the team have been so welcoming and caring to not just mum, but us as family too and it's lovely she is getting all the care she needs

The welcome was warm + cordial. The staff were kind + professional. The rooms + surroundings were spotlessly clean + tastefully decorated. We will definitely be using 'Highfield' again in the future for respite care with financial support from the council.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear that you felt warmly welcomed and found our staff to be kind and professional. It's also lovely to know you appreciated the cleanliness and dcor of our rooms and surroundings - we take great pride in creating a...
I cannot speak highly enough of my weeks respite stay. The facilities themselves were first class but it was the carers who stood out. Nothing was too much trouble. I was completely independent and did not require care but I was able to observe the manner of the staff towards the other residents and it was above and beyond. Patience, compassion, empathy no matter how cantankerous the resident! The kitchen staff did their utmost to accommodate tastes too. No negative experiences at all, highly recommended!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We're delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience during your respite stay. It means a great deal to our team to know that their compassion and dedication stood out, not just in the care they provide but also in the atmosphere they...
My mother in law stayed here for respite care and in her words it was like staying in a 5* hotel. She was very nervous about the stay prior to her going but afterwards admitted she was pleasantly surprised at how lovely everything was and how amazing the staff were. She loved the tranquility and enjoyed walking around the gardens. She said the food was varied and very tasty and that nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your mother-in-law's experience. We're delighted to hear that she felt so comfortable and well looked after during her respite stay-it means a lot to the team. It's wonderful to know she enjoyed the gardens, the food, and most importantly, the care from our staff. We hope to welcome her back again in the future!
This is my third 'respite' visit to Highfield. Each time I come I appreciate the care and the comfort of the home. It is always an enjoyable experience to escape the responsibilities of living alone and the pleasure of having company are the main benefits I gain from coming here. Highfield is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated, surrounded by well tended gardens in beautiful countryside. Then to the staff unfailingly helpful and kind, nothing is too much trouble. At the weekend, shortage of staff with a lack of leadership, poor choice of activities will be sorted out. It very new. I enjoy the homely atmosphere and service. I will be back.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts about your recent respite stay at Highfield. We're delighted to hear that this was your third visit and that you continue to find comfort, care, and companionship during your time with us. It's wonderful to know that you enjoy the homely...
My father in law had , had a long hospital stay , and we decided that respite care is what he needed, the home is beautiful and the staff are helpful , friendly and knowledgeable, at the end of his stay he is so much better than when he left hospital , the care he has received has been amazing , he is now able to come home and get back to "normality "
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We're so pleased to hear that your father-in-law's stay at Highfield made such a positive difference. Supporting his recovery and helping him regain a sense of normality has been our absolute pleasure. I'll be...
I don't have much experience with care homes but having my grandma here has been the best decision. The staff are all amazing and have been truly wonderful. In every aspect. The building feels really nice to be in, it's lovely and clean but most of all, the friendly faces make the whole process easier. It's not easy having a loved one anywhere but their home and having my grandma here has made the whole process much easier. Knowing my grandma was really well looked after has meant the world.

The staff got behind the whole programme that the activities coordinator organised and all enjoyed the atmosphere this created with lovely decorations, food and drinks too!
There was something for everybody and some great memories created for all.

Due to the fact he is struggling with his legs and walking, previous homes have placed him on the dementia floor or getting forgetful as he needs extra help.
My dad is now on a floor with people he can talk to. Staff that engage with the resident and show real love and compassion.
From my father not engaging in anything, he has now been painting, knitting and involved in the care home community. A different man and more strong and very happy. Thank you Highfield!

I don't know where you would go that is more perfect than this. It is in such a beautiful setting. The staff, from hostess to manager, are lovely. All staff are so caring and kind and make me feel part of Barchester Highfield Care Home. Myself and the other residents all seem to get on great. Much appreciate the extra help with myself and my disability.

My wife has just returned home from four weeks of respite care at Barchester Highfield Care Home, a most attractive modern home in a lovely location. The care given to my wife, who has the sad illness of advanced vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease, was excellent. Even though my wife is immobile the carers hoisted her into a wheelchair to go for a bath, have her hair done at the spa-like hair and beauty salon, eat her meals with other residents in the lovely dining room and enjoy television in the lounge. When her sister came from Wales to visit her, we were treated to a three-course lunch in the visitor's dining room. On her last afternoon there, she joined members of her family in the sunny gardens at a barbecue provided by the home. If I was unable to continue caring for my wife at home. I would be happy for her to go to Barchester Highfield Care Home.

The residential home is gorgeous and the facilities are superb. The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Mum loved it and said that she would happily stay there again. Hopefully, when everything is up and running, there will be lots more activities for the residents to join in with, to complement the cinema room and the games room etc.

My niece visited most days, and for a small fee, they could all have lunch with her in the lovely dining room, this was a wonderful touch of normality for Mum, she will be returning for respite again.
