The staff are amazing, so kind and careing. Really cannot put into words

My Mum is receiving outstanding care at Bamfield Lodge. The staff are very caring and always happy to help. My Mum's needs are met to a high standard and I do not have any concerns.
The home provides lots of activities including music events and the residents are asked if they would like to go on
day trips.
The Management are friendly and approachable and the Reception Team are always very welcoming.
Thank you to all the lovely staff at the home. I appreciate everything that you all do to look after my Mum.
I have only given 3 stars for value for money as care home fees are so expensive in general.

Lovely reception when we first arrived and staff are always so acomodating and smiling. First impression is very good indeed. Fact's like have setto this new GM looks very friendly and approchabell. So far after 2 weeks of mom being here, things have been amazing. She feel home and settle, very impressed
indeed. x

Mums only been here for 5 weeks and has settled in quite well. Any issues we have we get than sorted quickly but on the whole list a nice environment. The staff are very good and seem to have taken well on mum. The welcoming face on reception give us a good energie, The entertainment is really good.
Plenty
of good facilities e.g. Hairdresser & Podiatrist.

My husband was in respite for the third time here. Home is clean and well maintained. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Husband very content here. Will look at him being here full time when that time comes.

My husband has been treated with kindness & compassion. The standard of care is excellent & nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The home is spotless & his room is spacious & well equipped. Everything about the home is above our expectations of a nursing home - it is more like a four star hotel!

Beaufort Grange is a lovely care home but there are a few things that could be improved. It is always understaffed. Sometimes only one carer for many residents e.g nine plus, which isn't fair on the residents or the carers. This is my main worry. Please could there be more staff on each floor. My mum
doesn't eat a lot but when she does she says the food isn't good. I did speak to the chef and he said he would get some rice pudding for mum bit this never happened which is disappointing as that's one thing I know mum will eat. The staff are amazing though.

The family have found the admission of our Uncle to be excellent. It was a complicated admission but everything we asked for was adhered to. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are always very polite and willing. One of the best residential homes in our area. I speak from experience as I have
managed many residential homes and had 33 years service before I retired.

Both my Father In-law and Mother In-law are residents. I can honestly say that Bamfield impressed us instantly and choosing them was an easy decision. They are super professional with caring and kindness at the heart of every minute of the day. We had to arrange care in extremely difficult and stressful
circumstances but as soon as we met the team we were totally assured that our loved ones would be looked after impeccably. The staff and kindness is so beautifully genuine. They are a family who will care for your family!

We all know about the issues that exist within the care industry, even the use of the word "care" is open to interpretation, especially by those who are supposedly in receipt of it.
Our family has had an extremely traumatic experience with Barchester, which led me to question the ethics of this business,
which unsurprisingly, I found to be based on minimum standards and maximum profit. The complaint nearly 4 months on is still not resolved and have had to involve other organisations to investigate these serious issues.
I would strongly suggest that anyone who is considering placing a relative or loved one, within a home run by Barchester especially Bamfield Lodge, to think twice, as below the very thin veneer lies an organisation who's motives are at the very least questionable. Management tell you what you want to hear before admission but when care is questioned they remain unhelpful, unprofessional and totally unresponsive and will not fully involve the family regarding care.

I can confidently say any ideas that I had of a carehome being sad and dreary have been replaced with this vision of caring, diverse and inclusive community atmosphere that provides quality care to residents. All staff are kind and respectful whilst the residents are in good hands. Clean and smell nice
kitchen, service, all of the staff are very cooperative & have the residents interested at heart in the endeavours to help them to pass the most comfortable stay.
The cleanliness of the rooms is without exception very well looked after.
The secluded garden with it colourful fresh plantations is a paradise in the middle of this busy location.
It's nearly possible to forget it's outside.
Please let me pass this message to all those who are hidden behind the scenes or not " Congratulations on this excellent team work to achieve such a wonderful result & all the Entertainment & leisure events which fill the free time of the residents. This is 1 example of a Lodge used as reference

My father has been in the care home for nearly 3 years now and he is well looked after. There are many activities arranged to occupy the residents and he is very happy there. The staff are excellent and very caring.

Beaufort Grange is a loving and caring home. You feel the friendliness as soon as you enter. Staff are respectful and go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. Nothing is too much trouble. Any information regarding facilities e.g hairdresser. Also pictures of staff who now have awards
for carer of the month are found within entrance. Weekly pets are also here also activity sheets for residents and dates of outings, finally after seeing several other homes in the area would not want to live anywhere else.
