Review of Barchester Broadway Halls Care Home from E W (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Broadway Halls gave my mum a warm, comfortable, safe and secure home in her later stages of living with dementia and frailty. All staff were kind, caring and supportive of her needs, which she found comforting. I saw my mum smile and express her joy in the company of her carers as she settled in and built a trusting relationship with them.

As a family a warm welcome always given by the staff when visiting the beautiful home and guidance received throughout relating to mum's care during her stay here. Compassion and comfort extended to the family in the weeks afterwards too.

Reply from Nicholas Drinkwater, General Manager at Barchester Broadway Halls Care Home
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are deeply touched that Broadway Halls could provide comfort, happiness and support to your mum during her time with us. It means a great deal to hear that she settled in so well and felt welcomed and cared for by our team.

Review of Barchester Broadway Halls Care Home from T B (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 16 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

On initial show round buliding and rooms were pristine. However, when leaving Mother in Law in her allocated room, house keeping had to be called to vacum and dust, M-I-L has no complaints. Staff were good with her. Happy with the various activities. Choice of food was excellent. Kept her clean. Only complaint clothing items went missing took a week to locate.

Review of Barchester Harper Fields from David F (Respite Resident) published on 10 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I have been acquainted with Harper Fields from the time it was planned. Having had experiences of other care homes I knew how it offered not just excellent care but also much needed activities to keep residents occupied, so often missing.
I was in for respite after partial replacements of both knees. All staff, without exception, were friendly , helpful and knew you by name.

As I had expected I was well looked after.

Reply from Hayley Wilkinson, General Manager at Barchester Harper Fields

We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for you feedback following your recent respite stay with us, the staff will be pleased to hear that they have met your expectations. The Kempton staff are missing you daily chats and company.

Mam & Dad stayed for 10 days respite as both have dementia this is difficult to complete as they can't remember the visit!!
All staff seemed professional and friendly when we contacted them.
Disappointed that they didn't have hair cuts as requested and chiropody services, but this was just a minor set back

Definitely use the service again

Review of Barchester Iverley View Care Home from J D (Respite Resident) published on 24 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
I was admitted urgently to Iverley View as I needed extra care in readiness for major surgery. All my needs were filled from Day 1 and was able to return for post-operative care. The word "care" took on a genuinely new meaning for me. Nothing was too much trouble. My specific dietary needs were provided very ably by the chef.
They have an excellent Activities Coordinator who provides suitable activities for varied abilities each week.

I shall be recommending the care at Iverley View to friend who may also need the excellent care either short or long term. It is a most wonderfully appointed care home and offering every possible facility.

Fountains is a caring environment. The staff go out of their way to care for the residents. The home organises many social activities and outings in their minibus. The building itself is purpose built and it and the extensive gardens are well maintained. My Father in Law has been there for two years and counts many of the staff and residents as friends.

Review of Barchester Fountains Care Home from Sally H (Daughter of Resident) published on 11 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Dad has been here for a few years and I would like to say that all the staff always give 100%. Every resident is made to feel special. Fountains is now my dads home and we have gained an extended family in the staff and residents.
Everyone is greeted with a smile and a conversation. Every member of staff, not just the care staff but those working in housekeeping, catering, maintenance, gardening, the office, reception and management make us feel we are all cared for not just my dad.
The new management team continues to support both the residents and their families whilst implementing new ideas.

The atmosphere as you enter is warm, welcoming and happy. Staff are constantly seen to be interacting with residents and their families.

Reply from Sara King, General Manger at Barchester Fountains Care Home

Making every resident feel special is always our main goal, and your kind words mean the world to all of us.

Review of Barchester Edgbaston Beaumont Care Home from S S (Respite Resident) published on 10 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

My husband came direct from hospital after a knee replacement. I am a Blue Badge holder so we needed extra care before going home. The Beaumont gave us a warm welcome, 2 convenient rooms & helped my husband with nursing care & medication. The care team were kind and helpful & we had a happy, relaxing 3 weeks recovery, enjoying the lovely garden, homely feel of the place. A very good experience

Review of Barchester Edgbaston Beaumont Care Home from John R (Respite Resident) published on 10 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I was strongly advised to stay in a care home for 4 days following hip replacement surgery, and was pleased that Edgbaston Beaumont could collect me from the nearby hospital, look after me for 4 days and then deliver me home.
The small room was fine for my short stay. The nursing care was excellent and so was the catering. I had to practice short walks with my fisher crutches and the well tended gardens with safe paths were ideal for this, especially in the spring weather. The days were relaxing as I sat in a comfortable chair by my window overlooking the garden and reading a good book.
Surprisingly I also made a couple of friends as I chatted with the other residents. One shared an interest in aeroplanes. The other struck up a conversation as I walked round the garden.

However I regret that I may have got a bit carried away in my chatting, as most residents were 20 or more years older and quite frail.

In February/March 2026 I spent 3 weeks in Iverley View in Respite Care.

Review of Barchester Edgbaston Beaumont Care Home from S W (Respite Resident) published on 14 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I was at the Care Home for a week following a hip operation. The overall experience was excellent. I was treated with dignity and kindness, by staff and management. The receptionist was only part time. I took part in one activity which I enjoyed. The food was generally good as was the cleanliness of the room. I found the laundry service excellent. The room was perfectly adequate for my stay, but it was rather small if used for a long term resident. Also I was next to an access to a staircase and the door was sometimes left to slam shut, especially at night. The spaces open to all residents were excellent. I often used the 'café. The house was in lovely grounds and I could appreciate the sound of the birds and see the beautiful mature trees from my room which all helped my recovery as did the warmth and friendliness of the carers.
