Overall Experience

Over the last week our mother Greta has deteriorated so significantly that end of life care needed to be put into place. The whole team at South Chowdene, both day and night staff have provided an exceptional level of care for Greta. They have also supported our family in a most professional and caring

way. We would like to praise and give great credit to Anca who in a relatively short period of time, has put her ethos and vision into place and improved all aspects of the care home substantially. The staff work together much better as a team. Anca is very well supported by Iuliana and Jilt who are key members of staff.

Overall Experience

I cannot speak highly enough of the care & support my dad receives at this care home. From day one, the staff have been outstanding - kind, patient, professional, & genuinely caring. They take the time to know each resident as an individual which makes a hugh difference for both residents and families.

The facilities are always clean, tidy and well maintained, creating a comfortable & welcoming environment. The food & drink service is excellent with good-quality meals that are clearly prepared with care & attention to residents' needs & preferences. Most importantly, the home feels very safe & well managed, giving real peace of mind that vulnerable people are properly looked after & respected.

Overall Experience

It is my pleasure to leave a review for Appletree. It is one of the kindest places i have been to with regard to my mother.
It is extremely clean and welcoming to both residents and visitors. The staff are excellent and extremely helpful. The food is also excellent with plenty of choice.

it has been to leave my mam in care, i am extremely happy that
She is cared for here where she is truly looked after.

Overall Experience

My aunt moved into Harton Grange over two years ago after a spell in hospital and long term ailments, including dementia. Her mood fluctuated significantly due to dementia and could at times be annoyed with staff and other residents. Her carers' handled these challenging situations with grace and care

and always tried to respect the dignity and independence of my aunt. My aunt received high quality care throughout her stay and developed a genuine affection for some of her carers. Sadly, my aunt passed away over the Christmas period. I greatly appreciated the experience of staff who have been through this obviously challenging situation. At all times, I felt my aunt was in safe and genuinely caring hands. Members of staff attended my aunt's funeral which demonstrates the level and type of care she received from a committed, experienced and caring staff.

Overall Experience

We have had a very good experience with apple tree grange. The staff were wonderful with my mother Rita. The staff took very good care of her including the hairdresser Pauline. when she passed away in the home all the staff were very respectful overall a very positive experience.

I Visited my Aunt Marjorie this weekend . I cannot praise this home enough. The staff are amazing . They are so friendly and helpful. The care is excellent and food is good. We travelled up from Wiltshire to see her, and the staff offered us food and drink on arrival .We had dinner with her , which

was lovely .
My aunt looks so well cared for, with nails and hair done . Her dog is allowed to visit regularly . She is very happy there .

Overall Experience

The care home was chosen for Mum based on friendliness and cleanliness. Both have been maintained throughout her stay. The staff work hard to entertain, engage and interest residents in challenging residents. The social media use makes me confident the team of carers really do try to improve the lives

of residents. The food always looks appetising and well presented. The bedroom could do with a decorate but I understand this is difficult unless rooms become vacant.

Overall Experience

Mum came to Bedewell for respite care but returning home was not an option.
I'll preface the following by saying that I have considerable experience of care homes as my late mother-in-law had MND.
From the minute Denise came to visit mam at home, I was impressed by her caring and reassuring nature.

Mam arrived at Bedewell and was greeted like royalty. Since that day she has slowly brightened. She feels safe and is well looked after. The chefs prepare delicious and well balanced food. There are also plenty of treats. Donna' s itinerary of events for Xmas included an huge bag of gifts for all residents. Amazing!!! We can already see what's planned in January. Mam enjoys the spa baths, the hairdresser and manicure on Friday. We are always welcomed by a caring staff, who help me navigate this new experience for our family.
What I'd improve: larger name tags for staff. More water, mam says yes to tea/coffee but needs her sparkly bottle and promts to drink. Thanks to all!!!

My mam is a recent resident to Bedewell Grange and out of the three care homes visited, Bedewell Grange was our first choice. There are always freindly smiling faces from the staff when you walk through the door and that positivity , in my opinion, cascades down to the residents. I have seen a marked

improvement in my mam in all aspects. She looks healthier and the engagement with both staff and residents gives her a welcome distraction.

During my mum's 10 month residential care at the care home, it has been a happy, content, stay for her, all of her carers have looked after her and her needs day in day out. Overall Experience

My family member moved here from another care home and the change in her was noticed very quickly. We could see an improvement in her physically and mentally. She began to regain weight and colour and joined in some of the activities which previously would never have happened.

Overall Experience

We nearly lost our dad these past couple of weeks I cannot tell you how caring and efficient the staff were. So helpful with our family too. 100% service. I would like to mention Denise the senior she has gone above and beyond with us as all the staff have. These girls all need praise from the office

to the floor, domestics, kitchen, laundry, carers - super proud of them all.

Overall Experience

I arrived at South Chowdene unanounced whilst looking for a care-home for my mam, who has advanced dementia. Straight away I was impressed with the welcoming feel, cleanliness and friendly staff.
My mam has been there now for a couple of months and she seems very happy. She is nursed in bed, and the

carers and nurses have a lovely manner with her. She is treated with dignity and is very well fed. She really enjoys the meals!
Overall, I am extremely pleased and grateful that Mam is so well cared for at South Chowdene. Thank you to the management team and all the staff.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law has moved into this care home following a period in hospital with a broken leg. The process was 1st class, and the deputy manager was brilliant in dealing with the hospital and discharge people. 1st impressions are that this is a very well run, friendly and just what you could hope

for a pleasant and homely stay. The weeks following the move have been better than hoped and all members of staff are well above the level at her last care home. You don't know what you should have until you see how well this place is run.
