Overall Experience

We nearly lost our dad these past couple of weeks I cannot tell you how caring and efficient the staff were. So helpful with our family too. 100% service. I would like to mention Denise the senior she has gone above and beyond with us as all the staff have. These girls all need praise from the office

to the floor, domestics, kitchen, laundry, carers - super proud of them all.

Overall Experience

I arrived at South Chowdene unanounced whilst looking for a care-home for my mam, who has advanced dementia. Straight away I was impressed with the welcoming feel, cleanliness and friendly staff.
My mam has been there now for a couple of months and she seems very happy. She is nursed in bed, and the

carers and nurses have a lovely manner with her. She is treated with dignity and is very well fed. She really enjoys the meals!
Overall, I am extremely pleased and grateful that Mam is so well cared for at South Chowdene. Thank you to the management team and all the staff.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law has moved into this care home following a period in hospital with a broken leg. The process was 1st class, and the deputy manager was brilliant in dealing with the hospital and discharge people. 1st impressions are that this is a very well run, friendly and just what you could hope

for a pleasant and homely stay. The weeks following the move have been better than hoped and all members of staff are well above the level at her last care home. You don't know what you should have until you see how well this place is run.

Overall Experience

Overall we are pleased with the care mum receives. Staff have been open to suggestions. Mum us happy and settled. I have noticed that there are small things staff do for example - making sure any facial hair is removed. Important that residents appearance is kept to a high standard.

Overall Experience

Over the last few months, I feel there has been more stability in the day to day functioning of the home. I think a lot of this must be due to having new, efficient, effective and approachable management in place. I think they have had a positive effect on the home. Added to this has been the recruitment

of new staff who have been employed on a regular basis. I feel all the staff present in a friendly and welcoming way. I believe the morale of the staff has been lifted in what is a constantly challenging environment. Some of the work that the staff do, whether management, nurses, carers, domestic or kitchen staff will be excellent, but I rated the option as good, as most appropriate.

Overall Experience

My husband has been a resident for over a year now. In that time I have seen lots of improvements. He is well looked after by caring, friendly and experienced staff who have made him content and comfortable. The nursing care is excellent as is the food quality.

Overall Experience

We realized mum needed residential care after months in and out of hospital.
In March, mum joined Bedewell Grange for respite care. She initially found it difficult to decide to become permanent. I can't praise Rebecca (manager) and all staff enough for all they did to help mum transition to Bedewell

after living in her own house.
The Bedewell Grange building is a well thought out design with a large garden - all areas are kept immaculate and inviting. The daily activities are well planned, varied and cater for all abilities. Mum has particularly enjoyed interacting with 'Honey' the dog (who visits during the day), gardening club, washing Honey, pumpkin carving, Elvis tribute days, and bingo to name just a few.
All members of staff are professional, personable and caring. They have made Bedewell feel like home for Mum and are always welcoming and obliging for family members. We are especially grateful for the way staff eased Mums adjustment to her new circumstances. Thank you

Overall Experience

My mams transfer to Chowdene has been very smooth, she has been made to feel very welcome and has settled to life here very well.
Any issues we had in the early days were dealt with very quickly. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed.

We find the accomodation offered to my mother really good we feel that she is safe, clean and fed which she was not when living at home

Overall Experience

I am so glad that I found Appletree Grange. The staff are so welcoming and kind and treat the residents with respect. I can't thank them enough for the way they cared for my husband when he came out of hospital after contracting sepsis he was very very ill. He has recovered well he has put on weight

and is back to his normal self.

My mother came here 99 years old and in poor health with no mobility. However; now she is 103 and is floroushing and can walk with a zimmer frame. The family are more than satisfied with her care and mother is happy here. Thanks for all you do for my mother.
