I was fortunate that Oak Grange had respite care available coincident with my aunt's need to move from hospital. The management staff were outstanding in communicating with me about availability and assessment of my aunt, both when I was able to attend in person and from my home in Canada. Following
the four week period we determined that she was unable to return to independent living at home and chose to stay at Oak Grange. My aunt has a lovely room with an exceptionally lovely view of the country outside, the option to eat in community in a lovely dining room, or to take some meals in her own room. The care she receives is outstanding from the staff and personal attendants. I left the UK feeling that she is in caring hands with a staff that are proactive in communicating with me on her wellbeing. It is a great comfort to know that she is safe and content at Oak Grange in my absence.

My mum has been a resident at Prestbury Beaumont for the past three years, and the care and compassion she has received have been exceptional. From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel welcome, safe, and valued. The team are not only highly skilled but also incredibly kind and attentive,
always going the extra mile to ensure she is comfortable and happy.
The home itself is beautiful-set in peaceful woodland surroundings, with lovely gardens that offer a tranquil space for residents to relax. The facilities are excellent, and the meals are both delicious and thoughtfully prepared, catering to individual preferences and dietary needs.
What truly sets Prestbury Beaumont apart is the sense of community and warmth. The activities programme is varied and engaging, helping residents stay active and connected. I've seen my mum thrive here, forming friendships and enjoying a quality of life that brings us great peace of mind.

My dad has been in Westvale Care Home for just over a year, prior to him moving into the home he had a lengthy stay in hospital where he was told that he could not go back to his house and we needed to look for a care home for him. As traumatic this was for the family on viewing Westvale for the first
time we knew this was the place for him. Westvale is bright, airy, smells clean and fresh as you walk in, dads room with en-suite is small but homely and is always kept tidy by the staff. All of the staff are polite, respectful and literally can't do enough for you. The kitchen staff work so hard to provide a variety of hot and cold food available. Dad doesn't really join in with the activities, however there is a weekly programme of activities to try and bring the residents together. Dad has settled in so well and I want to say Thank You to everyone involved in running the home.

Adas care at Westvale House has been excellent overall. She has been treated with dignity and kindness by all members of staff admin, nursing, carers, activity coordinators and laundry/kitchen staff perse.
The only time we have raised concerns is when new carers or bank staff are undergoing training
initially especially at weekends. However senior carers are very quick to rectify any issues on Adas behalf and have treated family with respect.
Nursing care and the homes GP are excellent in implementing and changes required smoothly. Her 100th birthday party was memorable for all Adas family. Thank you.

My wife was admitted to Oak Grange under continuing end of life palliative care funded by NHS. She was there for 2 months intil she sadly passed away and during this time received exemplary care. All the staff including catering staff, health care assistants and Nursing staff were fantastic.
We were
very impressed with the care she received whilst she was at Oak Grange.
It helped that she had a lovely peaceful room big enough to accommodate family overlooking a beautiful garden.
My wife and family were treated with great care, dignity, compassion and respect which made a very difficult time easier to bear, for this we all thank you.

My sister-in-law is 80 and probably in the final weeks of her life as the incurable cancer enters its final stage. VIsiting from abroad where I now live and probably seeing her for the last time (on this earth), I just took my final leave of Joyce.
I'd just like to say a big thank you to the staff
of this home genuinely and lovingly taking care of Joyce. Beginning with the manager, Fiona, right the way through the team I experienced true kindness, interest and love. My sister-in-law is really loving her time here which is proving to be a very real comfort for her in what are probably her last earthly moments.

Very friendly staff who really get to know the residents and engage with them. The manor is beautifully furnished and equipped to a high standard and has several comfortable lounges to meet in. The grounds are very well maintained and overlook open countryside. The food is excellent and varied with

I can not thank the team at Westvale House enough, my mum is bed bound but this does not prevent them from including her in the fun and entertainment. But also, it is the care they give. My mum recently had a bizarre episode when - for no reason - her blood sugar suddenly dropped to a dangerous 1.2,
but your team were there in the middle of the night, discovered what was happening and got her the medical attention and assistance needed to bring her back and literally save her life. By the time I saw her the next day, she was glowing, telling us of her "adventure" and how "pampered" she felt from the care she was being given - thank you, thank you all. Just thank you.

Barchester Iddenshall Hall and Beeston View Memory Lane Community

from David S (Cousin of Resident) published on 8 October 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Due to suffering from Alzheimer's disease and following a serious fall, my cousin (female) was unable to look after herself. I was concerned about my cousin going into a care home and it was a distressing time for the whole family but not at all for my cousin. After visiting Beeston View prior to
my cousin arriving I (male) was relieved and reassured to meet the staff who helped me to organise my cousins effects into her room. Beeston View is warm, clean, tidy and obviously well maintained.
The staff are all really kind and helpful to both patients and visitors. I live 100 miles away from Beeston View but am contacted at regular intervals with updates on my cousins condition and progress. The dining arrangements are similar to what you would expect in a hotel with a choice of menu etc and my cousin said 'its like being on holiday'.
I visited today, she was warm, well fed and in good spirit. She has been a resident at Beeston View for two years and six months. No complaints.
