I cannot praise all the staff at Shelburne Lodge enough. The care my husband receives is excellent, nothing is too much trouble for the staff everything done with a smile. The home is clean and welcoming. I feel my husband is safe at Shelburne and is cared for with dignity.

Home - well maintained, quality furniture and clean bedding, always welcoming and looks up to date and areas for family to see residents.

Communication - staff keep family up to date and communicate well. Friendly and understanding when having discussions, reassuring to family when we were planning parents move to the home.

Staff - all staff have been observed to be kind, friendly and approachable. Always a nice welcome and smile and very genuine care and sensitivity when talking about residents.

Since dad has been in the home he has been settled and we have been kept up to date and welcomed on visits. The home are working with dad to improve his quality of life by encouraging and enabling him to get out of bed and enjoy the communal activities in the home. We feel confident that the home is the best and safest place for dad to be at the moment.

My mum started at Shelburne Lodge as respite care, I find the home welcoming, the team are approachable, Friendly, Caring and deal efficiently with any concerns I have efficiently. She has now moved to a permanent resident as feels very settled there and well looked after, which in turn has put my mind at rest that she is well cared for.

We were told of all the enrichment activities the residents have planned which seemed fun and engaging.

I am very happy with the care that my husband is receiving. He has been there about 7 weeks and is receiving 24 hour nursing care. The carers are very kind and thoughtful about his needs and treat him well.

Very friendly staff. Always smiling and welcoming, Nothing is ever too much trouble. The home is very clean. Staff are always busy cleaning. Tea trolley is always offered to relatives and residents. The home has a very calm atmosphere. Good variety of meals. Wonderful place.

I think this home is marvellous. The food is very good and they accomodate any requests you may have. The staff are lovely. Entertainment is very good. I love the quizzes. Nice to see animals brought in occasionally.

We thank all the staff for kindness showed to my mother during what turned out to be a relatively short time at Chalfont Lodge. It was a difficult and painful time for her and we are very grateful for the physical and medical care the staff gave, listening to our concerns and being attentive to her pain relief needs and care. The staff also showed sensitivity and understanding in their care and support just sitting with her for company and comfort or trying to bring a smile to her face. We shall always be grateful to the team at Chalfont Lodge for their care in the last weeks of my mothers life.

My mum was only in Chalfont Lodge for two weeks, but during that short time, I was very impressed with the care and compassion with which she was treated. This also continued beyond the home when mum was taken to hospital following a fall. The care nurse accompanying her took excellent care to ensure that mum was kept comfortable in her final hours, for this depth of compassion. I will be forever grateful.

Reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. Care staff are kind and caring, showing great empathy and patience. Management are approachable and keen to help the resident feel at home. Any issues are quickly resolved without fuss or complaint. A joy to visit as a friend I was treated like a valued guest.

John was a resident for a relatively short period of time, but we wanted to celebrate the kindness, professionalism, and attention that he received whilst he was in their care. Every single member of staff encountered were warm, welcoming and keen to provide him with the most excellent standards of care. Family and friends were welcomed into the home and during every interaction. Nothing was too much trouble with offers of hot drinks and food. Staff were incredibly reassuring regarding his clinical care and kept us all in the picture about how his health was deteriorating which allowed us to keep every member of the family updated. Following his passing, at what was obviously a very emotive time, the staff rallied together ensuring that the process was conducted with the upmost dignity, grace and respect. Totally impressed by every aspect of the home and the staff.

First time visiting aunt who has been a resident for a few months. Really impressed with all staff we met. Lovely, friendly atmosphere. Beautiful setting. Good range of activities.

So a big thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of my Auntie, a very hard decision for me to make to have to place her in a home but so pleased I chose Chalfont Lodge.
