The care my uncle received whilst at Wilsmere was absolutely incredible during his respite. It was our first family holiday after many years and we felt at ease knowing he was in good hands. The team kept us updated, and most importantly looked after him like family. When we picked up my uncle, we could
tell he was very happy to be there and didn't want to leave as well!

My son is here since 2018 till today. All the time he gets good care, I usually come to visit my son from Tanzania every after five to six months. Finds him good. They communicate with me every time to update of everything which makes me very happy. Management and all staff are very good, they know
what they are supposed to do. I have to say God will award them all.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Wilsmere House care team for the exceptional care they have given to our mother. Knowing she is alone here in London has always been difficult for us, but from the very beginning, their kindness and dedication have brought us comfort and peace of mind.
During our two-week visit, we witnessed firsthand the genuine care and attention they provided everyday. We are specially touched by the effort they made to decorate her room with our family photos, it truly made her feel home and connected to us. We also deeply appreciate the warm hospitality extended to us during our stay, including the lovely meals they prepared. One of the most memorable moments was visiting the garden where our mother spends happily her time with us. Hearing the planned birthday party for her while we are here means so much to us. Although it is hard to leave her again, we do so with lighter hearts. knowing she is in such caring and compassionate hands. Thank you for everything.
Reply from Barchester Wilsmere House Care Home, Reception at Barchester Wilsmere House Care HomeDear Jochelle, thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We appreciate your feedback. Your kind words will be shared with the home staff.

My husband spent 2 weeks at Wilsmere House for respite care. This was to give me, his wife & carer, a break. The staff were kind and attentive towards my husband, and at the same time, professional. They were also understanding towards me which meant a lot.
I was however irritated to receive an invoice
for payment after my husband had left as I paid in full on his arrival.

This is an excellent care home, The building is modern and clean with a spacious, airy feel to it, good facilities and a nice garden. The staff are first class (the nursing staff in particular) and have treated my friend with kindness and compassion. Her needs are sometimes unusual and yet they bend
over backwards to try to make her comfortable, nothing is too much trouble.
I highly recommend Westwood House.
Reply from Joanne Thompson, General Manager at Barchester Westwood House Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review and your recommendation of Westwood House. Mum arrived at Queens Court on the 3 Feb its the best decision we have made having moved from another care home that was not what Mum needed. I see such a difference in how she looks & acts. They took my mum out for coffee & to the park this makes our family so very happy as they are helping her live
her best life under the circumstances of her deteriorating condition.

Our mother was at Magnolia for a little over 2 months but for her last months, this was absolutely the most appropriate place to be. She was frail but made to feel so comfortable. All the staff were lovely, and the end was very peaceful for her

With great sadness we realised that dad needed care that mum and we as a family were unable to provide. From dad's first day to his last, he was treated with great care and dignity. His needs were never questioned. We were informed of everything that was happening with dad's health. He was encouraged
to join in with all activities some he never mentioned himself. We are truly grateful for the love and care he was given by all members of staff. Thank you.

When the time came to choose a care home for our 95 year old mother, we narrowed it down to the choices. The main reasons we went with Magnolia was because of its proximity to the local park and the overall friendliness of the staff, their professionalism and the genuine care they showed for the residents.
Now that she has been there for 3 months, we have come to know the staff more, and to see close up just how well run the facility is. Wayne leads a wonderful team of employees who seem genuinely happy to work there. The activities team is simply the BEST! Thank you, Magnolia.
Reply from Wayne Hughes, Senior General Manager at Barchester Magnolia Court Care HomeDear Gillian, it is so nice to hear and receive your comments. Of course it is always our aim to ensure that all residents are treated with 'genuine care' as well as the wider family members. Your appreciation will be shared with the team.
