Barchester Queens Court Care Home

from Affie B (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our mother was a resident of Queens Court Wimbledon from February 2023 to June 30th 2025.
Unfortunately she was moved due to financial disputes between my siblings one of which has LPA and it was him who decided to move our 95 year old mother. I have visited our mother 3 times in the new care home.
I cannot even put into words how different everything is. Our mother was treated with utmost caring, love and attention in Queens Court. We loved visiting her there. Everyone was welcoming, happy and professional. Our mother was always clean, well dressed and most importantly cared for with compassion and kindness. She was not put in bed most of the time. It breaks my heart every time I see her there and how sad she looks. I have lots of videos to prove the difference. She is not eating as before. I want to thank the management of Queens Court for their consistent loving care and professional manner. I pray our mother returns to Queens Court so she can smile again.

Peony Court was a lovely home for mum to have stayed in. From the very first moment mum was made to feel welcome, safe and comfortable.
That sincere welcome extended to all the family and friends that visited. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Any challenges were overcome with professionalism
and transparency. The staff were genuinely interested in mum and each day tried to meet her needs and bring joy to her day. They provided good quality care with kindness and dignity. Mum was forever grateful for all the care shown to her. Thank you Peony Court.

Our family went to home to celebrate our friends birthday with her. We found everything was good and having a special room set aside for our party was a nice touch. The room was large enough for our party requirement and it also had an outside garden area linked to it. Food tea coffee and soft drinks
were laid on but we brought in some wine so we all had a little drink. The staff are very caring and really understanding to the residents and families needs .

Barchester Queens Court Care Home

from Fari B (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother was admitted to Queens Court in Feb 2023, she stayed at Queens Court for 28 months until my brother, against all family wishes, transferred her to another private care home due to financial disputes with family members. To sum it up, my mother got moved from a Ritz Carlton type of care home
to a Travel Lodge type of care home. Would love to bring her back to Queens Court. During the 28 months that my 95 year old mom was at Queens Court, she was cared for with sincere love and compassion. We all loved visiting her at Queens Court, honestly it felt like home from the second you walked into the place. Absolutely loved the "happy" environment, the activities were so much fun, everything was very well planned. We are grateful for the loving care provided to my mom during her stay. Cannot thank management and staff enough for such a well run care home, worth every penny.

Reply from Shaaron Caratella, Admin at Barchester Queens Court Care Home

What can we say? we thank you for your appreciation of the work we do. However you know that we really enjoyed caring for your mother who has a great sense of fun and and would show us that she enjoyed life at Queens Court. We really enjoyed seeing how happy your mother was when you all visited and how you made her laugh. We wish her the best in her new care home and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit.

Barchester Cheverton Lodge Care Home

from E D (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5

Lazyest carers I've encountered, unable to automatically do basic care needs and tasks. No cleanliness or hygiene has EVER been carried out in my fathers batheroom or bedroom. I always have to request for bedsheets to get changed, then I'm met with attitude by staff. Overall poor. Staff/carers do nothing
aside from sit on their phones and get annoyed if you request something.

Review of

Barchester Queens Court Care Home

from Michael B (Son of Resident) published on 11 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5

We placed my mother with Queenscourt care home in February 2023. The fees were £8500 for four weeks and it was increased by 5% in April 2023, 7% in April 2024 and 8.3% in April 2025 putting enormous pressure on our finances. In May this year we decided to transfer my mother to a less expensive carehome
and met the Manager and gave 28 days notice as required by the contract. Her response was appalling, aggressive and very upsetting. She later told my partner that my mother will aspirate if we moved her. My partner was in tears but the manager just ignored her. A few days later we changed our mind and informed the manager that we'd like to keep her at Queenscourt. Despite having three vacant rooms she refused to keep my mother and told us that we have to leave and she would not provide transport for a one mile distance. Queenscourt is now refusing to pay us the £860 refund they owe us plus £4200 deposit. I have contacted Barchester through various emails - no reply.

Reply from Feedback Team, The Feedback Team at Barchester Queens Court Care Home

Hi Michael, thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We're sorry to learn of your experience, which differs greatly from other members of your family. Its lovely to hear that you changed your mind on wanting your mother to stay with us, and we'd gladly welcome you back again once we have a vacancy available to do so. Our records show you are in touch with our team who are looking into your financial concerns and we're grateful for your patience while we do this. We hope your mother has settled well in her new home. Kind regards, Barchester's Customer Feedback Team.

My ex husband was admitted a year ago, the immediate impression of the nursing home was it was warm friendly, clean and very nicely decorated. All of the staff are highly professional and kind. The food is excellent and the bedrooms very comfortable and have smart televisions. I have no hesitation in
recommending Barchester Wimbledon Beaumont care. It is run to a top standard.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care that my husband is receiving from every member of staff. Every area of his needs are so well taken care of. He is relaxed and happy and feels very safe. I have enjoyed an excellent lunch with him in lovely surroundings. Thank you to everyone.

Review of

Barchester Wilsmere House Care Home

from Sofija R (Respite Resident) published on 24 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I spent two weeks at Wilsmere House rehabilitating after a partial knee replacement. I could not return home after surgery because I live alone and my house has a lot of stairs. During my stay at Wilsmere, everything was taken care of very professionally and I was treated with an enormous amount of
genuine kindness by everybody. I was therefore able to fully concentrate on my physio exercises and my recovery was much quicker than expected. My other knee replacement is due in several months and I am looking forward to another two-week stay at the Wilsmere.
