My brother was in Westgate House for the last 3 months of his life. He was treated very well & his last months with cancer were as good as they could be given the circumstances. He was treated with care, respect & friendship & I am very grateful that he was so well looked after.

All staff work tirelessly for their patients always with kindness, compassion, patience and love. Nothing was too much, they were so attentive to my needs. As a post-op patient recently discharged from hospital and requiring respite care, this was probably not the optimal facility to cater for my specific needs. But this should not detract from the amazing, incredible hard work and dedication shown by the staff members towards the care of the even more vulnerable residents of the home. The staff here should be constantly recognised for their selflessness and efforts towards making life as comfortable as possible for the main residents.

I came into Barchester Westgate House Care Home for a post-operation respite for two weeks. The staff in all departments have been kind, helpful, cheerful, friendly and accommodated my needs as soon as I arrived a week later than planned. The staff have helped me regain my independence as my mobility from my hip replacement has improved. I also have a lot of skin allergies, the staff have helped me to control and rehydrate from the rash I had on my back. I made the right choice to take two weeks' respite at Westgate House and have nothing but praise for the care they take of everyone. Thank you.
