Overall Experience

I cannot speak highly enough of Hundens Park Care Home in Darlington. From the first visit it was clear this is not just a care home, but a caring community.
The staff are exceptional - compassionate, professional and endlessly patient. There are simply too many wonderful members of staff to name,

but every one of them showed genuine kindness and respect.
The end-of-life care they provided for my mum was outstanding. She was treated with dignity and comfort, and I was supported every step of the way during such a difficult time. Their communication was excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble.
Hundens Park sets the standard for what a care home should be. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Overall Experience

Excellent care home. Mum has now been in hundens park for almost 1 year and I can honestly say it's still as fantastic as the 1st day she came, such a lovely quiet calm environment for the residents to enjoy their rooms watching TV, and chill time. then when singers are in enjoy a sing and a dance.

The animals always a hit with residents. Every member of staff helpful and easy to talk to. As a family member visiting I feel completely included in the wonderful life at hundens. If you need a care home come visit see how immaculately clean and welcoming it is. You won't be disappointed. I know how hard it is trying to find the right home and how daunting it can be. Overall Experience

My nanna come to North park care home in June 2025 .
It was a hard and emotional time for the whole family as it was her first time in a care home.
From the moment of stepping into north park we all felt so welcomed and this made my family feel at ease.
The love and care my nanna received from

each and every member of staff was outstanding.
I can not thank the staff enough for the thought, consideration, dignity and respect that my nan was shown during her time in the home, especially in her last days..
They are dedicated team and show compassion within all of there job roles.
My nanna recently passed away the love and support we all recieved was so comforting.

Overall Experience

I moved my wife to North Park Care Home, from another home, after a couple of incidents. The difference was astonishing. The atmosphere is very calm, staff are very concerned about the welfare of the residents. It is very clean both in the rooms and open areas. She has regained weight that was lost

over the previous 7 months and with the encouragement of staff has become very social again. The management and staff may not realise the difference the care they offer residents at North Park makes to the lives of the people that live there - it is beyond commendable.

Staff are kind, show respect and listen to the patients and their families provide good skin care and ensure the relatives are dressed and look after their appearance i.e. shaven and mouthcare

Overall Experience

My dad has been a resident at Hawthorns for two weeks now and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are all lovely, they already know my dad's name, his likes and dislikes and he knows most of them. He has really settled in and I can finally relax knowing he is being very well cared for which

is important to me as I love quite a distance away. Particular thanks to John and ?Nicola, managers who have listened to a couple of concerns I had with my dad on the first day and acted on them quickly.
P.S. the food always looks delicious. :)

Overall Experience

My aunty came to North Park Aug 2025, it was very upsetting for the whole family - staff we very good at helping her settle in & were v. reassuring to us as a family. Life on the top floor (high/advanced dementia) was not great as my aunty isn't so advanced & management moved her down a floor quite

quickly - she's settled much more now.
Staff are lovely & caring & management are very approachable, food always looks great & there's some great activities on offer.

Overall Experience

Very person-centred around the person supported, always gives 110%. The whole team are amazing, from management to handman, all know that the people are supported well. The care home is always clean and includes the people supported.
Meals are outstanding, and the meal plans are always looking for

new things for the people supported. The whole team are very well supported by the manager.

I would like to firstly thank the manager Ana for the fantastic Care Home Hundens Park is. She is very approachable and nothing is too much trouble to her. Moving my sister into a Care Home was difficult for the family and Hundens is by far the Best Care Home I've ever dealt with.

Any family looking for a care home to look - care for relatives I would strongly recommend this home.
My wife has been a resident for the past year. Care and environment is excellent and we also get looked after when we visit which is also nice to be welcomed.

Overall Experience

Excellent care the whole time my dad has been a resident however end of life care was so special. We were all treated with great respect. My dad received excellent care and pain relief was given immediately.
It helped a very distressful time easier to bare and I can never thank the girls enough.

Overall Experience

My father attended hospital on the 14/06/25, a lady from the Eppleton Suite assisted him. All the staff from the hospital commented on how good she was at her job. I wanted to feed these comments back to the home. The ambulance staff also commented on how nice the Barchester care home is.

From the first day of attending Barchester Hundens Darlington, I was very satisfied with the security admission procedure. And extremely impressed by the friendly and warm welcome given by all staff. Pleasant, polite and helpful attitude. Their upfilling and cheery disposition was excellent and valued

by our family on the difficult situation we found ourselves in. We were allowed tea and coffee as required during visits. Attention to the patient was available straight away if needed. I highly recommend this care home.
