The lassies who come in here are lovely.
I don't want to praise them TOO much - so tick 'good'.
The food is lovely, and plenty of it. They're always bringing cups of tea.
My room is very comfortable - I've got everything I need.

My dad moved into this care home in November 2025. He was given a life expectancy from the hospital of 6 weeks, but he has totally thrived being there, and that is down to the staff and how he is treated, which is amazing. They are great with him, if there is any issues they are on the phone keeping
me updated. I can not fault anything about this care home or the staff, we made the right choice when placing him there.

Well, what can we say, anyone looking for a care home for their loved one, should not look any further than Highview House Inverness Highview House Care Home - Barchester Healthcare ! We have known this for 3 years since mum June, first went in. However today, they put on a party for mum's 90th birthday.
They made a poster with a "Grease movie" theme, the staff dressed up as Pink ladies, some staff came in on their day off to help mum celebrate, they got mum an outfit, provided a delicious buffet and even a birthday cake. What a fantastic day and mum had a ball. Honestly, we cannot thank each and everyone of you enough! When we leave the Care home, we know mum is in safe hands, loved and respected. Our love and thanks go to you all, not all heroes wear capes!! Nicola, Stephen and Richie xxx

Mum has been a resident at Seaview for just over two years now, after going for temporary respite at the end of 2023 but quickly deciding she would like to stay permanently! The manager and staff are amazing; caring and compassionate, treating every resident with respect and responding to them as individuals.
There is a very homely family atmosphere when you visit, and staff always seem to have a smile and endless patience. The bedrooms and lounges / dining rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. There are a whole host of activities, events and excursions, often tailored specifically to the interests of residents. The staff create special times for everyone. Mum enjoys the food, and I have also been impressed on the couple of occasions I've joined her for lunch. We very much appreciate the care Mum receives, especially since we live hours away, it's really comforting to know Mum is content and looked after so well.

My Dad went into the home in Sep, and he only had a little over a week then got moved itno the dementia unit, which has very little in the way of entertainment, it's always videos of the Queen on the TV. Communication is terrible, its hard to find a nurse to talk to.Carer told me I have to speak to
a nurse to find out how he is. Some of the staff are very helpful and nice, but I am afraid some are NOT. My dad often missed breakfast & meals a sthey leave him asleep even when asked to get him up for food as he's loosing weight. They have lost his hearing aids which cost £3500.
Reply from Feedback Team, The Feedback Team at Barchester Pentland View Care HomeThanks for taking the time to leave your review, we're sorry to learn you were unhappy with your experience with our Pentland View Care Home. My Auntie has been in Seaview since October 2023 which was a stressful time for myself and my wife any my Auntie. We are her next of kin, and Seaview has proved to be absolute Golddust for the care for our Auntie. Gayle and her team always have time for you when you pop in to say hello. The team
there just are superb at looking after all the residents and it sounds like a pun, but it genuinely feels like a family in the home. The staff go out their way to ensure our Auntie is well looked after, but they are always so friendly and happy, which rubs off on the residents. Theres always activity going on for the residents, keeping them entertained and helping them to be stimulated. Food is always good, and any time we're visiting we get offered a cup of tea and biscuits, nothing is too much trouble.
The staff keep us updated regularly. We have gone to the hospital a couple of times for checkups and a member of staff has come with us to assist with the journey.
Superb team.

What stood out for me, and my family, was the care and personal interaction given to each and every resident. From the person delivering the immaculately ironed laundry to top management. Hugs and humour, chat and care.

Our Dad had been a resident in Highview since September 2018. Sadly he passed away almost 3 weeks ago. The care and attention he received was excellent. If Dad or we had concerns about any aspect of his care we could approach the staff and these concerns would be dealt with. It wasn't very often that
happened though. We were kept fully informed about Dad and how he was. He suffered from autonomic dysreflexia because of a spinal injury and a few times over the years we thought we might lose him but the staff did a fantastic job and got him(and us through it)!
When Covid came we wondered how Dad would cope. We needn't have worried. The staff looked after him really well. We had regular phone calls and with help from staff we could also have video time with him.
The kitchen staff were always helpful if Dad didn't fancy what was on the menu. The maintenance staff and housekeeping always took time for a chat.
The Care staff were compassionate and patient.
We thank them all.

Mum is being very well looked after. She has now been in Pentland View for 2 years, whilst she is never keen to leave her room the staff continue to offer opportunities to do so. We are grateful she is not left in her room and for the times when she joins events. She also particularly enjoys visits
from therapy animals and the staff always make sure she gets a visit, she is enjoying the food and is now drinking enough for the first time in a long times. Finally we are always made very welcome when we call and visit.

My father-in-law has been at Seaview for the past 16 months. In that time the nursing, care and kindness shown to him has been excellent. He reached his 100th birthday in the manager and the team made sure it was a very special occasion for him. With the activities coordinator organising a full programme
of events it was certainly a very memorable day for my father-in-law. They topped it all off with a visit to the Mey Games where my father-in-law was honoured to meet the King.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication given to his welfare by all the staff over these past few months. A very special thankyou to the activities coordinator for going above and beyond to make his 100th an occasion for my father-in-law and his family to enjoy and remember.

Our family has now entrusted our mum's care to Pentland View for three and a half years. In that time we have developed very good relationships with the staff, who know our mum very well. The are aware of her needs and care for her with good humour, patience and sensitivity.
Communication is particularly
good; we never hesitate to call or email and, likewise, staff know they can contact us. We are reassured to know that our mum is safe and very content at Pentland View.

Both mum and dad had to enter Seaview in January. What was a very stressful time for our family was made better by knowing that Gayle and her team would be looking after mum and dad. The staff and management really do care, it's genuine. For the families that makes us feel special and relieved that
we know our loved one are being treated with love, respect and dignity. Mum was very ill and she was well looked after. The staff all loved dad. Tears were shed by all the staff when dad moved to a care home nearer our house. I know they meant it when they said they will miss him.
