Overall Experience

I would highly recommend Upton Bay Care home. The care is excellent and the residents are made to feel part of an extended family. Recently, my mother-in-law celebrated her 90th Birthday, she was made to feel so special and enjoyed a slice of her amazing birthday cake.

Overall Experience

An absolutely outstanding care home. The initial impression when visiting on an open day was brilliant, and my Mum was keen to move in despite being fiercely independent. She has settled in wonderfully well, and all aspects of her care have been wonderful. Every single member of staff goes above and

beyond. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone who has a loved one who needs care.

Overall Experience

My Grandad has attended don't dine alone a couple of times now and has been made to feel very welcome on each visit. The staff are very friendly and made him feel at ease straight away. He was very anxious about going somewhere new but the smile he came out with showed what a wonderful time he'd had.

For someone who doesn't get out as much as they used too, this was the highlight of his week. He said the food was delicious and how nice it was to sit and chat to other people again. He even joined in with the activity afterwards.Thank you for giving him such a lovely afternoon.

I have been visting this home to visit a friend.
The care is amazing.
She had a fall, which she is now walking, thats the care she received. To make her walk. In fact a friend of mine has moved into the sister home.
Barchester is fantastic.

Overall Experience

The staff have been brilliant. Quickly getting to know Dad and his needs and likes and dislikes. Dad has only been at the home since 3/11/25. The food is excellent. The home is clean and homely. Everyone is very attentive. The manager is excellent and very approachable.

Overall Experience

Dad stayed at Hyacinth House for two weeks respite care. I cannot praise it highly enough, the staff were wonderful, very caring, compassionate and sensitive to his needs. They encouraged him to join in with the daily activities and eat with other residents in the dining room. Each time I visited I

was warmly welcomed and communication from the staff was faultless.
I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for respite stay.

Overall Experience

I and my daughter Rosalind were most impressed with Hyacinth House from the moment she called in to get a brochure, she was most impressed with the home and the atmosphere of great friendliness, as was I, who met the manager and who the next day came to meet me in my home. My stay of 3 weeks enabled

me to get back to sleeping well, which I hadn't been for many months. The staff were outstanding in their professionalism and their very sensitive care was greatly appreciated. I attended some very helpful exercise classes and feel so much stronger because of my stay.

Overall Experience

Parley Place has been absolutely wonderful in every sense, not only in the care and attention they give to Dad, but also in the kindness and support they've shown to our family during what has been a very difficult time. We suffered a terrible loss just before Dad moved in, and the compassion and understanding

we received from everyone at Parley Place meant the world to us.
The staff truly are exceptional - warm, patient, and genuinely caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and it's clear how much they value each resident as an individual. The attention to Dad's safety, particularly as someone at risk of falling, has been incredible. The team are always so attentive and proactive, ensuring he's safe, comfortable and confident in his daily routines, which gives us such peace of mind.
The home itself is beautiful, with light, spacious rooms and lovely communal areas that feel calm and inviting. The gardens are a joy to visit, and Dad especially loves the mini bus outings and food.

Overall Experience

Staff at this care home are all lovely. Hand overs must be excellent as they all know my mother very well and, despite her being really challenging at times, all respond positively and consistently, making my life so much easier. As soon as you walk in the door you know it is a very special place. Our

family has felt extremely well supported during mum's "episodes". Working together has been hugely reassuring.

My mother in law is enjoying the activities, particularly the quix which takes her to another local care homes in the mini-bus and the music events - she loves live music!!

Overall Experience

My mother came to Barchester Kings Park for respite care after a fall. After extending her stay week by week she decided it would be better for her to live here permanently. She feels safe, cared for and is treated with dignity and affection. The staff always have a smile and always have time for a

chat, nothing is too much trouble. There are numerous activities to suit all personalities, all in all its a very happy place to live.
