Overall Experience

Mum has been in Henford House for a few weeks now - initially as respite care but is now a permanent resident with nursing needs. All the staff are very welcoming and the nursing care is second to none. They identified when she needed to go into hospital for a couple of weeks and she is looking better

than she has done for a long time. Overall she is very well looked after.

Overall Experience

I can't say enough good things.
I never wanted to see my grandmother unable to stay in her own home, but here I know she is not just safe and cared for, but is more happy, healthy and active than she has been for a long time.
The staff are fantastic, and genuinely care about the residents and creating

a warm, homely atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome.
Each week there are a range of activities (from weaving, yoga, trips out, talks, music to much more) and suggestions are also considered.
The medical side of things is well handled and responsive.
The food is exceptional, with a varied menu and the chef has happily accommodated needs and requests.
And the garden! My grandmother loves gardening, and having such a lovely garden is really wonderful for her. Even moreso after the works that have just been carried out to make it even more easily accessible.
It's hard to praise it highly enough - it's been fantastic as a new home my grandmother and a pleasure to visit each day.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at White Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare. The care you provided for Mum has been second to none. Even with the challenges of dementia, you helped her enjoy life and supported her in being the very best version of herself. Your genuine compassion and

commitment to treating each resident as an individual made all the difference.
One moment we will never forget is the beautiful ballet performance you put on for Mum - a memory that will stay with us forever. It was a perfect reflection of the love and thoughtfulness that runs through everything you do.
Your care in Mum's final days was truly outstanding. You understood, in every sense, what end-of-life care should be - gentle, respectful, and filled with dignity and kindness. We will always be grateful for the way you looked after her, and us, with such warmth.

I cannot praise your staff enough. On every level they have provided our mum with the most amazing care. My mother has had a few months of respite and could not have been looked after better. Nothing is too much trouble ^ the knowledge of staff to help us get all the help mum needed.
My mother hasn't

looked as well as she does now for many years. She is on fine form now and her recovery could not have gone better.

Overall Experience

My mum moved into Cedars in February and was treated with kindness dignity and respect from the very start. There is such a lovely family atmosphere and a really warm 'buzz' about the home. I was kept informed of my mothers health and was called whenever there was a concern. I would recommend the home

to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved on. The staff are just brilliant.

Overall Experience

Mum is very happy living at Cepen Lodge and family are usually able to visit her on a regular basis.
However, it is very reassuring to know, as we have seen, that when we are away on holiday or unable to visit for other reasons, Mum's care and engagement with activities is well led and supported by

the staff team.
This is so important to us as Mum can find communication difficult but stimulation from dining with other residents & other social situations and activities hugely beneficial to her. Thank you to all the Cepen Lodge Team.

Overall Experience

My husband has recently been there for two weeks respite
I can't thank the staff enough for their kindness and care given to him , as he has dementia and many health problems
They encouraged him to join in with a couple of activities going on , which was great
Food and accommodations was great

All the staff were so kind to me too, informing me of everything to do with my husbands health and needs
Will definitely be happy to take him there again, when I need a rest

My mother has now been in residence for 4 and a half months. She has settled in really quickly and slipped into daily routine. The staff are always friendly and happy, nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent.. 5 stars. Many thanks to all catering staff who are working in the background. The

activities are wonderful, keeping the residents stimulated.

Overall Experience

My mother has come in to care due to a stroke and needs a lot more support than could be given in her own home, she has been gradually settling in, the staff have been very good with her, she does need encouragement to join in with activities , but they are working on that, this care home feels more

boutique hotel than what you perceive quite often what a care home is like, so if anyone is looking for somewhere for them self or relative I recommend going along for a tour round. There are lots of activities each day, a choice of food on the menu each day, in the dining rooms, or can have their meals in their room, there is a cinema room, hairdressing salon etc
The gardens are a lovely place to have a coffee and a chat.

Since retiring at the age of 67, my husband, professional painter and decorator, has developed depression, followed by Alzheimer's, at first manageable, last two years have been very hard for me to care for him 24/7 with very little help from NHS. On 3rd Jan 25 admitted to hospital where stayed til

28th Feb 25. Henford House is my and his saviour.
