Staff friendly and efficient, and go out of their way to look after and cater to one's needs, especially when staying for respite care after hospital stay.
Food not totally to my liking, but then that is a matter of taste and what one is used to at home.
Factilities re bedroom/bathroom spotless.
They
go out of their way to provide varied entertainment and stimulation.
Reply from Antoinette Roberts, General Manager at Barchester Wilton Place Care HomeThank you so much for your review, a pleasure to have you here again and hope that if needed again we will be your first choice. Staff from top down cheerful and friendly, food was plentiful and of a good standard. As a visitor having to travel for 1.5 hours and staying for the day the staff were very happy and encouraged me to food for breakfast and lunch.
Only negative thoughts were hoovering during lunch time and sometimes

My 91 year old mother was shaken and nervous leaving hospital after a bad fall and broken leg before Christmas. I visited every residential home in the Salisbury area to find one that I hoped would suit her for further recuperation.. From the initial assessment through moving in to her delightful room
the staff have been outstanding, professional, supportive and friendly to my brother and I as well as mum. After 2 months she is walking, eating well and looking brighter and healthier than she has done for many years looking after herself at home. Apart from the gardens you can walk and sit in, we enjoy the lounges and barista style cafe as well as weekend lunch with mum in the dining room overlooking the garden. It feels like a real home with friendly faces that come by regularly for a chat and to see how you are. It's the staff and open friendly attitudes to any feedback that make Milford House exceptional from carers, nurses, catering and cleaning and office staff and management.
Reply from Abhishek Bagchi, General Manager at Barchester Milford House Care HomeThank you for your kind and positive feedback. We are pleased that you had a lovely experience during your stay with us. The team at Milford House are passionate about the service we deliver and appreciate you taking the time to review us.

A calm and caring environment is evident as you walk in to White Lodge. Everyone there cares about the residents and do their upmost to ensure they have a lovely life.
A friendly welcome is given by Lily at reception, and whoever else I see, no matter what day, carers, admin staff, catering etc.
As
a family we know Mum receives the best care and are reassured she is well looked after. It gives us peace of mind, Mum as well.
Reply from Ramona Gherendi, General Manager at Barchester White Lodge Care HomeMany thanks for taking the time to review our service we really appreciated and this is always make us to reflect on what we can do better. Many thanks again

Milford House is a delightful care home in which my wife has spent 6 weeks in 3 different visits, following a total knee replacement on both knees and recuperating from a broken femur. She was made most welcome and looked after extremely well, helping her recover from the surgery.
The staff were anxious
to please, helpful and friendly. The food was first class and varied. Milford House is a first class care home, and I would thoroughly recommend it for recuperation and respite care.

My mother has been a resident for 24 months and celebrated her 100th birthday very recently. The enthusiasm by the staff of the event and the organisation that took place to get involvement from the community, entertainment, as with additional catering for the afternoon party was amazing. The staff
worked very hard, and the family are very grateful.
Reply from Jade Hodge, General Manager at Barchester Cepen Lodge Care HomeThankyou for taking the time to review our home. We absolutely loved celebrating Mum's 100th birthday with her, and working together with our local community to make this day extra special.

My mother has been living at this care home for some time now, and as a family we couldn't be more grateful for the environment she's in. From the very beginning the staff have been exceptional - not just professional, but genuinely kind. They take the time to know each resident as an individual, and
it shows in the small, thoughtful way they care for my mum every day. The range of activities is another real highlight. There is always something going on - from crafts and music to cooking and social interaction. This keeps residents engaged and social. It's comforting to see my mother participating and enjoying herself. We couldn't have hoped for more.
Reply from Ramona Gherendi, General Manager at Barchester White Lodge Care Homemany thanks for taking the time to review our service -this will help my team and myself to continue our residents and provide a nice environment with lots of activities

Cedars have been so kind and caring at a time that has been extremely difficult for our family to navigate; our parents needing nursing care at the same time. Cedars guided us to enable our parents to be welcomed into their nursing care. This has been very comforting for us knowing they are safe together
and that their different needs are being met. Everyone at Cedars has gone above and beyond to help our family. Highly recommend Cedars.

What a fabulous experience from Mum going in for 2 weeks' respite care, to her deciding to stay permanently. Friendly, professional staff made it all so easy.
Beautiful rooms and facilities. Nourishing food with plenty of choice each day.
Wilton Place feels like a wonderful care home but looks like
a high end hotel.
Highly recommended.

My husband has been well looked after, with gentle encouragement to do things, where possible, and join in group activities. Staff have asked questions about usual routines and tried to keep things familiar for him. The staff are always patient and caring in dealing with him.
The building is beautifully
clean and light, with plenty of windows, and varied, bright pictures everywhere on the corridors.

Very Happy with Milford House, Dad went in for respite care and has decided to stay on. Every member of staff with out exception gives a smile and a hello. From the nursing, care, admin, activities, catering, housekeeping all is first class. It is great to know Dad is happy and well looked after 24/7.

Pat is kept clean, tidy & fed and looked after. He is completely bedridden therefore his quality of life is restricted but he seems happy watching TV and reading. I know he is a bit isolated but the carers try to spend time with him, however they are extremely busy and do not have the time. He has
a nice view of the car park and grounds from his room and can see what is going on around him
I visit once a fortnight again I am restricted on time as I am still working. When I arrive all the staff greet me and make me welcome. For his other sisters to visit it is a 70 mile round trip and again they are busy with their own commitments
The home has a lot of activities going on but Pat cannot partake of them however the staff involve him when they can i.e. animal visits
For his birthday they arranged a horse the winner of the Scottish Grand National to visit him which was so kind and considerate and he was over the moon about it
All in all it is an extremely caring good place to spend the rest of his life. We could not ask for more
Reply from Lauren Speirs, Administrative Assistant at Barchester Cedars Care Home (Salisbury)Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful account of Pat's care. As a team we ensure he is being treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion by the staff. While his mobility limits his involvement, it's reassuring to hear how our team make the effort to include him and bring moments of joy into his life - especially such a memorable birthday celebration (which I know we all enjoyed, not just Pat!). Your visits and ongoing support clearly matter, and its lovely that you feel he is in a safe, caring environment where his wellbeing is truly valued.

The Cedars Care Home is in a beautiful grade 2 listed building with modern annex, set in attractive countryside. It has a calm atmosphere and actively welcomes and encourages groups and individuals from the local community to participate in events and activities. Staff always have time for a chat and
all seem to know my mother well. Management have an open door policy and the manager is always ready to listen to any problems that arise and address the promptly. We visit the home twice a week and find it a welcoming place where my Mother is safe, well cared for and stimulated.

I spent 3 months respite at Henford House in Warminster to give my wife time to recover after her heart operation. It was a wonderful experience. From the sart I was made to feel welcome eg by the excellent reception staff. The carers were wonderful, often too thinly spread. They were very caring in
the true sined and were very friendly. The food was superb with a great range of choices!
