Overall Experience

All the staff here help to make my mum's life more colourful, always friendly and chatty and willing to have a laugh and a joke.
Staff of note are Kelly (in the office), Val on reception, Wendy, Gale and Jane.
Everyone is helpful in a very busy home.

Overall Experience

I find the Care home staff very welcoming, warm and caring, both towards my dad and us as a family.
We recognise what a challenging job the staff do, and they carry this out professionally and generously.
The staff were amazing when we were trying to ensure dad could make it to my sisters wedding

this October. Dad had been very poorly and they shared our determination to do all we could to follow his wishes to be present at the church. It would not have happened without their determination and going the extra mile in the weeks leading up to the big day. We will be forever grateful to them for this.

My wonderful mum who was seriously ill , spent the last 2 weeks of her life in this wonderful home. There are no words to describe the care , expertise and kindness she received from all the staff , no matter what their job , was exemplary. Every little thing they could do to make her last weeks more

comfortable was done . I and my family couldn't have asked for anything more . It's very sad losing a parent but to know my mum was looked after by the wonderful staff so well , definitely helped in what was a very difficult time .. I'd also like to say their kindness to me after she'd passed was also very compassionate. Thank you everyone. Aideen and family

Overall Experience

I had a two week respite stay at White Lodge while my daughter was on holiday. The premisses are of a very good standard and set in a lovely surroundings. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble, the facility's were we well above what i was expecting and this was my first experience

a care home. My only small criticisms would be the choices of food at meal times, it was always of a good quality but limited choice.
This was an enjoyable stay and would strongly recommend White Lodge having now looked at other Care Homes in the locality White Lodge was definitely the one for me.

Dad has settled into Cepen Lodge really well since his admission in June. He has grown fond of the staff and enjoys taking part in the daily activities when he feels able. His room is well appointed and comfortable and he enjoys having the wall mounted t.v. All in all he is very happy and would happily

There does not appear to be enough staff around, especially in the evenings when residents get agitated at the end of the day.
A lot of shouting goes on and some anger. My husband got hit on the mouth a while ago (split his lip)

Overall Experience

My father has been a resident here for nearly 4 years. The staff are amazing. They respect every resident and really go out of their way to find ways to make people feel comfortable and at home. Eg: My father is obsessed with South Africa and so they organised a whole South African day for him, with

flags, South African food, a drumming band, he was thrilled! He is not the easiest of people, and will often stay in his room alone if he was left to do that. But the staff at White Lodge always push the residents to keep active, eat well and get involved in activities which in turn helps each resident to settle in and feel part of the family. We are all so grateful to the wonderful staff at White Lodge. You are all LEGENDS! Thank you.

A care home in a beautiful tranquil setting, my mum loves sitting in the garden having strawberries & cream with me - wonderful memories this summer.
The staff (all of them) are a wonderful community of friendly, helpful & caring people, so very helpful, mums care & stay so far has been 99% brilliant,

Im grateful she is here with the Cedars crew! The odd niggle from me over mum wearing wrong clothes! Would want this passed on and recognised as the best.

Overall Experience

Mum has been in Henford House for a few weeks now - initially as respite care but is now a permanent resident with nursing needs. All the staff are very welcoming and the nursing care is second to none. They identified when she needed to go into hospital for a couple of weeks and she is looking better

than she has done for a long time. Overall she is very well looked after.

Overall Experience

I can't say enough good things.
I never wanted to see my grandmother unable to stay in her own home, but here I know she is not just safe and cared for, but is more happy, healthy and active than she has been for a long time.
The staff are fantastic, and genuinely care about the residents and creating

a warm, homely atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome.
Each week there are a range of activities (from weaving, yoga, trips out, talks, music to much more) and suggestions are also considered.
The medical side of things is well handled and responsive.
The food is exceptional, with a varied menu and the chef has happily accommodated needs and requests.
And the garden! My grandmother loves gardening, and having such a lovely garden is really wonderful for her. Even moreso after the works that have just been carried out to make it even more easily accessible.
It's hard to praise it highly enough - it's been fantastic as a new home my grandmother and a pleasure to visit each day.

Even with the challenges of dementia, you helped her enjoy life and supported her in being the very best version of herself. Your genuine compassion and

commitment to treating each resident as an individual made all the difference.
One moment we will never forget is the beautiful ballet performance you put on for Mum - a memory that will stay with us forever. It was a perfect reflection of the love and thoughtfulness that runs through everything you do.
Your care in Mum's final days was truly outstanding. You understood, in every sense, what end-of-life care should be - gentle, respectful, and filled with dignity and kindness. We will always be grateful for the way you looked after her, and us, with such warmth.
