Henford initially took my dad at very short notice for respite care following a long hospital stay and rehab. When he arrive he was barely mobile and needed a lot of assistance. After a month we decided that he needed to stay. As a result of the care, support and encouragement he was given he improved
so much that he has now moved back home to live independently. Every member of staff was brilliant, caring and personable. There were frequent visits and activities for dad enabling him to experience things he would never have done outside. Thanks to everyone.

My parents were one of the first residents at this new home in Wilton, very near to where we live. Sadly my father died after 3 months but my mother only died this week (aged 102) after a total of 3.5 years at the home. I cannot praise the home more highly, their care has been exemplary, the staff without
exception being kind, compassionate and supportive to both my parents and my family. The building is beautifully maintained and attractive and great efforts are made to keep the residents happy, occupied and supported. I can also vouch for the food having eaten there with my Mum many times with superb buffet lunches provided for my mum's family birthday parties. The home is a great credit to Antoinette, the manager, and we will miss our frequent visits there.

It was my aunt's 100th birthday and the staff organised a wonderful concert and celebration, including many other residents & their families, followed by a smaller refreshments for just our friends & family. It was a lovely afternoon which my aunt very much enjoyed. The staff were all very helpful and
lovely with my aunt & her visitors, along with all the other attendees.
It made my life so much easier knowing that I could rely on the staff to do such a good job, both on the day, and in the earlier preparation & organising.

Love the atmosphere of the home. It seems bright and "living", busy. Love seeing the school children visiting, all the residents really perk up.
All the staff are friendly, kind and always happy to help.
I think it's as good a home as it gets largely due to the hard work of the staff.
Reply from Antoinette Roberts, General Manager at Barchester Wilton Place Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely review, we pride ourselves on providing a home from home environment where the residents are like one of the family.

Barchester Cedars Care Home (Salisbury)

Following an unexpected terminal cancer diagnosis in Hospital, my 92 year old mother did not want to pass away in hospital and so we found Cedars Nursing Home and were lucky enough to secure a lovely room for her within a couple of days.
The staff at Cedars, from the receptionist to the management
and the housekeeping team to the nursing staff were all so warm, friendly and professional. They made it so easy for my brother and I to put everything in place quickly and without any stress. We cannot rate the food and drink at the home as my mum wasn't able to eat anything but we did meet the Head Chef and I am certain that the food would have been really good.
Sadly my mother only spent 2 nights in Cedars before passing away peacefully on the morning of the third day. She was out of hospital, out of pain and in a beautiful, calm environment. It was the last thing we could do for her. Thank you Cedars.
Reply from Anish Abraham, General Manager at Barchester Cedars Care Home (Salisbury)Hi Ali, thank you so much for your kind words. We are so glad that we could make mum's last wish to come true. We are happy that, we have a really good team of staff members here at Cedars who goes above and beyond to make sure that our residents are looked after well and safe. Thank again and condolences to all of the family members in this difficult time.

When my elderly mother became more acutely disabled I was very grateful at the speed & flexibility that the team displayed in receiving us in a moment of need. I have always found the various team to be kind & compassionate.
I consider Milford House to be an excellent care home.

Barchester Cedars Care Home (Salisbury)

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
As I live alone I needed a week's care after total knee replacement and a friend of mine went into the Cedars after breaking a leg after a fall. Another had chosen the Cedars for end of life care as she had pancreatic cancer. Sadly she didn't live long enough to get there. So 2 recommendations.
I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful care I had at Cedars. Such kind, dedicated staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I was even taken on a tour of the grounds in my wheelchair! Great choice of menus and I could even have sandwiches in my room for later if I wasn't hungry at dinner time. The quiet night time checking by kind staff. The list of timings of my medications for me to take home. It was also very nice to sit in the sheltered courtyard with tea and cake brought to me and any visitors. I could go on, but the Cedars is a beautiful nursing home in lovely grounds with wonderful, kind, attentive, professional staff. I came home feeling well able to cope on my own.
Reply from Anish Abraham, General Manager at Barchester Cedars Care Home (Salisbury)Thank you Sue for your kind words. As you know we provide respite and permanent stays and we strive to provide the best care no matter how long your stay with us here is at Cedars. We are very proud to say that we have a lot of long standing staff members at Cedars, and we believe that is because we all work really hard as a team and welcome everyone in to the 'Cedars Family', whether it be as a staff member or a resident. We are so glad that you feel that you are now well enough to return home and that you can cope on your own, but if for whatever reason you ever need us you know that we are always here to help, night or day. Wish you all the best.

My relative is resident for 6 months having dementia and physical needs.Staff from all areas of the home have been amazing. Calm supportive and sensitive and respectful, always directing their communications to her by name. She is very settled here and I feel has built trust in those around her.She
is fully dependent for everything and when I visit I can see how thoughtfully she has been cared for in every aspect including the set up of her room or inclusion of things that she might enjoy both through the care staff and activities coordinator. If there is anything that I mention or ask about it is immediately responded to . I am not local though do try to visit regularly but have been kept well informed of any changes.
The staff have been very supportive of me and always make time to talk.
There is an air of well coordinated communication between all staff in the home and it appears that they have very good staff retention which says so much.
I'm very pleased she is able to be here.

Our mother moved to The Cedars in January 2026. She has advancing dementia and was quite confused when she arrived. Our mother has been able to rehabilitate since January 2026. She is calm, likes the environment, enjoys the food and sleeps well again. She's put on weight and her whole character is back
to the person we used to know. The staff at the Cedars are supportive calm kind and good fun for the residents to be arround. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The environment is clean & tidy. Thank you all for the care to our parent. She is able to live with the dignity & respect she deserves.

Staff friendly and efficient, and go out of their way to look after and cater to one's needs, especially when staying for respite care after hospital stay.
Food not totally to my liking, but then that is a matter of taste and what one is used to at home.

My 91 year old mother was shaken and nervous leaving hospital after a bad fall and broken leg before Christmas. I visited every residential home in the Salisbury area to find one that I hoped would suit her for further recuperation.. From the initial assessment through moving in to her delightful room
the staff have been outstanding, professional, supportive and friendly to my brother and I as well as mum. After 2 months she is walking, eating well and looking brighter and healthier than she has done for many years looking after herself at home. Apart from the gardens you can walk and sit in, we enjoy the lounges and barista style cafe as well as weekend lunch with mum in the dining room overlooking the garden. It feels like a real home with friendly faces that come by regularly for a chat and to see how you are. It's the staff and open friendly attitudes to any feedback that make Milford House exceptional from carers, nurses, catering and cleaning and office staff and management.

A calm and caring environment is evident as you walk in to White Lodge. Everyone there cares about the residents and do their upmost to ensure they have a lovely life.
A friendly welcome is given by Lily at reception, and whoever else I see, no matter what day, carers, admin staff, catering etc.
As
