My mum has lived in west Abbey for six weeks. It took a while for her to settle but mum is loving life there and said today, "I am so happy." The staff are so caring and mum has learnt to speak up if she needs anything. We are gradually making her room feel like home and mum has been welcomed and made friends who are genuinely pleased to see her. Having the interaction with others is a great way to stay connected in a community and the staff make WA a very happy home. Mums room is in the process of being refurbished and when her new carpet and new furniture arrive the room will be just lovely.

My friend chose Crandon Springs for respite care and I am so glad she did. The staff have been very supportive, helpful, friendly and accommodating. My friend is well cared for and I haven't seen her look as well and happy for at least 2 years. Since staying at Crandon Springs the staff have brought such a positive change to my friend which is a relief to see having been concerned for her wellbeing for some time. I cannot praise the staff too highly. The home is thoughtfully decorated, has a calming atmosphere and is very clean. It is everything you want to feel confident that your loved one is being well cared for.

Mum could not be in a better place. Thank you!

My Civil Partner has been a resident at West Abbey Care Home for almost 3 years. I am very satisfied with her care and the staff are so proffessional and caring. I would recommend the Home to anyone who has a loved one that needs 24 hr care. I have left the Food & Drink rating blank because my partner is peg fed

My mother was a resident at West Abbey for 4 1/2 yrs. Although quite solitary she was content, enjoying the view of the garden. She was well cared for, both by amazing care staff + the medical team. I have to add, that any questions I asked, was always answered quickly, with Mum's welfare in mind. The care staff also made me welcome on every and frequent visit. I loved taking Mum up to the 'cafe' for a cuppa. Her end of life care was second to none. My heartfelt thanks to all.

My mum has been in the care home for nearly 2 years in the Lyde unit. During this time she has received superb care from every member of staff. She is treated with respect and kindness by all the staff whether carers or supporting staff and I am constantly amazed to see the lengths some staff will go to ensure the residents are kept both entertained and encouraged to live a "normal" life in a place that's made as homely as possible for every individual. Thank you!

The home itself feels calm, welcoming, well-organised, creating an environment where Mum can feel safe and supported. Knowing she is treated with dignity.

The home has cared for my mother extremely well. She has recovered very well from a major operation. The physio team have been amazing in getting my mother back on her feet and walking again. All of the staff have been great.

I have been treated with every kindness, care, courtesy and love.

My aunt is currently in The Manor for respite care following a fall. All aspects of her care have been excellent. The home is clean, spacious, & welcoming. All the staff are kind and helpful. Special mention to Ramis the physio who has helped aunt become mobile and confident again.

Mum, having lived independently for 8 years being moved from London had an episode which lead to a 3 week stay in hospital. On discharge it was decided, by the family, that she was incapable of returning to her home and living independently. After looked at a couple of care homes it was decided partly due to there being vacancies that Mum would initially go into the Manor Care Home. Since moving in Mum has begun settling in and although "its not home" she has gradually integrated into both the surroundings and with the other residence. Mum enjoys the activities and is quite happy with food and the care she receives. Overall we are very happy with the care she receives.

As a short term respite care option Crandon Springs worked out brilliantly for us. My mum settled swiftly and was well cared throughout. When she inevitablly needs to move into care more permanently, Cradon will be our only consideration.

I cannot thank ALL the staff at Crandon Springs enough for their professionalism, care, support and kindness helping my mum through one of her most difficult years - it has been such a relief to know that she is so well cared for as I am some distance away. Mum has been very happy at CS and although she misses her independence she could not have managed without this fabulous care home.

My experience has been good, and very happy. With outstanding staff who will do anything within their power to help you.

Overall Mum couldn't have been better looked after and we are so thankful to them.

I have been visiting The Manor with my Pat (therapy) dog and always received a wonderful welcome from the staff. It is a very friendly, happy place with lovely, caring carers. The food looks and smells very appetising, but I can't rate it as I leave before lunch! The residents are mostly full of praise for the treatment they receive.

Mum went into Barchester Crandon Springs for a weeks respite whilst I went away for my birthday. She was very apprehensive as she had never stayed away on her own. The staff rang several times to ensure her needs would be met which gave me reassurance! Mum enjoyed chatting to some residents and staff were all very nice. Because she needed help as her mobility has declined she said it was 'waiting' she found frustrating and she prefers her own bed. Food could be hotter.

Mum went into Crandon Springs in wells for Respite Care after staying with me following a Hip break 5 months ago. I was so worried about her holiday here but shouldn't have been! All the staff were amazing, her room was lovely, the food was enjoyed (though not plentiful) and the Activities very much enjoyed. The only thing that could be improved is daily cleaning of bathroom and bedroom, she will be back!
