Our close friend Malcolm has been a resident for 3 months. We have visited him and been impressed by the quality of the Home and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. He could not be in a better place. He is looked after so carefully + well.

When the hospital considered him medically fit for discharge, the hospital team advised that there had been no overall change in his condition since he was originally admitted to the care home, and therefore no reassessment was required. However, when the hospital contacted Oulton Park, the home advised that they were no longer prepared to accept him back because of his condition and they would re-assess. What upset me most was not simply the dreadful treatment but not getting a response to my phone calls and emails.

The catering team were also great patient and considerate at times when it was needed. The reception team were also exceptional always pleased to see us and always ready to help field queries all round we were very satisfied with the Alice Grange and felt we could always talk and find solutions to my father settling in as its never easy being away from home ..love to all the staff and their dedication and patience.

I feel my mum is very well cared for and I no longer have a constant worry about her safety. Mum also feels safe in her new home.

VERY HAPPY OVERALL

The prices are out of date here but apart from that, it's a wonderful place. All the staff but especially the care staff and activity staff make it a very friendly atmosphere. There are never, ever any obnoxious smells which if you've looked around other care facilities you'll be familiar with. That's such a major bonus in my opinion. The food hasn't been as fantastic as the TV advertisements but there's plenty of choice and if your loved one has allergies/sensitivities they're very careful to make sure that they avoid those foods that cause the problems. The nursing side of the care here is very attentive and any whisper of a medical problem is seen to straight away. I love that! Activities are regular and very inclusive. They always seem to make sure to include as many people as possible in these. Visiting is open and you can call at any time (try to avoid staff changeover times). There's an area you can go and sit for a coffee/ tea/ iced water - sometimes they even provide cake.

I highly recommend this Oulton Park Care Centre. It is clean the rooms. I cannot say a bad word about it. The staff are very friendly.

My stay here after hip surgery has been excellent. All of the staff have been friendly, helpful and attentive. I have felt very comfortable and supported in my recovery and would recommend to anyone needing support after surgery.

The care home has a very nice garden and a pleasant atmosphere. The environment is peaceful and comfortable, which makes it a relaxing place for residents. The garden area is well maintained and provides a nice space for residents to sit outside and enjoy fresh air. The staff members are friendly, caring, and always ready to help when needed. The rooms and common areas are clean and organized. Overall, it feels like a safe and welcoming place where residents are treated with respect and kindness.

A couple of weeks after mum passed away I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the staff and management which was a lovely gesture. So a BIG Thankyou to everyone who looked after mum. The member of staff who spent so much time with mum in her final hours deserves the staff member of the month award.

On arrival, I was warmly greeted, large room and en-suite; immaculate. Food very good; and always hot. Most of the staff were helpfull; and wanted. Laundry - excellent & rapid return.

Dad has been at the Grange since end of October. He went there reluctantly but he was made very welcome and settled in really quickly. He joins in events, goes out for coffee and has made friends. All the staff are friendly, helpfull. If I have had any worries these have been addressed. Dad was ill recently and I had the reassurance he was being well cared for, being kept up to date which is a relief when my dad is on pallitive care.

Would reccomend the home to any one for short or long-time stay.

Mums room ensuite and roomy. Bed to floor with sensory mat. I was contacted whenever mum fell.

I call in often to see her as I live nearby fortunately & (staff) carers are always helpful and respectful
