My mum recently passed away at Mallard Court Care Home. She had been there for approximately eighteen months. From day one to her passing she received all the care and attention she needed as she had dementia. She was happy there despite the dementia and really enjoyed all the activities organised
on a daily basis together with the occasional trip outside the home. The staff are really caring with the residents and made sure she had everything she needed right to the end. She really enjoyed the food especially the cooked breakfast every morning. On a personal note I can't thank the staff enough for helping me through her last days and would recommend the home to anyone with a loved one with dementia. Keep up the good work at Mallard Court!

My mother Barbara spent her last 3 months at Mallard Court and the care she received was exemplary. My Mum had Vascular Dementia was deaf and had very bad eyesight. I had never before been in a Care Home which was so well designed to maximise the few senses my Mum still had. She could walk well and
was encouraged to do so with attractive bright spacious rooms and corridors with seats placed at convenient spots and brightly coloured textured objects to feel and explore. It was a delight to visit her as both the staff and the residents were all so friendly and kind. All the residents on memory lane had some memory problems, but they all seemed so happy and free. Up to this point I had only visited homes where it seemed to be expected that residents had to sit in a chair all day. Mallard Court was a revelation. I only wish I had discovered it sooner. I would strongly recommend this home to anyone wanting a happy, safe and interesting and stimulating home for their loved one.
Reply from Tanya Webster, Admin Assistant at Barchester Mallard Court Care HomeThank you very much for your review. Your Mum Barbara is missed and was a lovely member of Memory lane at Mallard Court. You are more than welcome to pop in for a visit at any time.

My husband was seriously ill when he arrived at Lindum House. He was cared for, for the last 2 months of his life. We were pleased to see that his needs were met with kindness, respect and professionalism by all staff that were involved. Although it was a sad experience for my husband and us as a family,
we were well supported, & well-informed throughout that time. Thankyou.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming and genuinely interested in the residents well being. We couldn't fault their attention to detail. Thank you!!
The home was clean, no smell, menus displayed and well presented dining room and lovely reception and lounge area.
View from the bedroom
was disappointing and the outside area was limited.
Visitors are treated really well and drinks are always available which is a nice added extra

From the 1st look around the home until the day my Dad went home the entire workforce took such pride in their work. Following several months in hospital followed by a month in a sub standard care home elsewhere the staff turned an underweight depressed man into a cheerful outgoing happy chap. He loved
every day with the wide variety of activities on offer, he loved the food and nothing was too much trouble if he needed help.
Reply from Jayne Clarke, General Manager at Barchester Lindum HouseThank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear that your dad had such a positive experience whilst with us at Lindum House. Our staff takes great pride in providing excellent support, and it's wonderful to know that their efforts have made a difference for your dad. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and l will ensure to pass this on to the team. Kind regards Jayne

I would say my experience is really very good, the staff are exceptional it is just that at times there does seem to be a shortage of staff, particularly on a night. Also as the home is set over two floors there probably needs to be more staff allocated to each floor.
Another comment would be regarding
size of toilet in the rooms, they are too small to accommodate a rollator making it difficult for my husband to use unaided.
Reply from Jayne Clarke, General Manager at Barchester Lindum HouseThank you for sharing your experience, which we are thrilled to hear is very good. Thank you for your comments regarding our staff team; we work hard to recruit the right carers and ensure they are inducted and trained to a high standard. We continually review our rota's to ensure we are continually meeting the needs of our residents as their health needs change. I will be sure to share your kind words with the wider team. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where all of our residents can feel comfortable & supported. Kind regards Jayne

My husband regularly comes to Beaumont Care Home for respite. The respite breaks have benefited us both hugely. He is quite socially isolated at home and values the respite break because it is a change of environment and gives him chance to interact with different people. He also loves the food!
I
value the break enormously because I have chance to recharge my batteries.
The arrangement only works so well because of the amazing team at Beaumont.
We both get such a lovely warm welcome when we arrive. It feels as though we are returning to our extended family.
The staff are very caring and professional and also very kind. When I was unwell they supported me which I really appreciated.
The nurses and care staff listen and make note of any changes in my husband's condition when he is admitted so that I know his needs will be met and I have 100% confidence in their skills.
There is also lots of laughter and fun which is brilliant and most welcome.
Reply from Emma Smith, General Manager at Barchester Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experience of respite at Stamford Bridge Beaumont. My Mam has been a resident of Lindum House for around 4 years now and as a family we are 100% happy with the care provided.
Mum has had a number of challenges to overcome this year, having lost her dear friend and companion whom was a fellow resident of Lindum in the early part of the year along
with some general health issues associated with her dementia. But rest assured the Management and Staff were always on hand to support my Mum both physically and emotionally.
Additionally, the daily and weekly activities are excellent and are thoroughly enjoyed by residents and family alike.
In summary, I would have no hesitation in recommending Lindum House as a care provider, the Management, Staff and Care workers all work extremely hard and more importantly they genuinely care.
Thank you to all at Lindum House, you are doing an amazing job.
Best Regards
Tony

A warm, welcoming and caring environment which is well maintained.
Every member of the team is friendly and helpful and accepts ownership of any questions or issues even if it isn't their direct role - no sloping shoulders!!
Respect and dignity are prominent attributes along with a friendly support
team who engage with my mother in conversation and friendly banter whilst going about their day-to-day duties.
A full programme of activities to choose from and a dining menu which is freshly prepared and changes every day.

My mum came to Lindum House a few months ago now after being in another private care facility. There is a big difference with Lindum and the staff...in a very positive way. As a family, we are all very happy with how the Management and staff are with Mum. It's a very proactive place to live. There is
energy and fun in the atmosphere and the staff seem to really care.
My old Mum is probably one of the most negative people on earth, nothing will ever be right by her but we know different. We know she is getting good care. They actively encourage her to participate in group activities which is a real win as Mum chooses to isolate herself for choice because that is what happened at the other home.
Thank you to everyone who is so patient with her and for the excellent food standards. As a family we are all relived that Mum is settled and is slowly letting down some of her brick walls!
Reply from Jayne Clarke, General Manager at Barchester Lindum HouseThank you for your very kind words. We are so pleased to hear that as a family you have experienced such positivity for mum here at Lindum House, and that our staff has been able to provide the care and support she needs. We pride ourselves on specially tailoring not just our care but also the activities we offer each of our residents, which includes plenty of fun events. Thank you for taking the time to share your review - I will be sure to pass it on to the rest of the team here at Lindum House. Kind regards Jayne

I received a call to let me know my mum had become unwell and paramedics had been called , I was given a detailed explanation of what the paramedics had said and she listened to my views, she was very reassuring and told me that they are keeping a close eye on her and that they would ring me if mum
became worse and that they would call me with an update in the morning after she had finished her night shift, I received a call as promised and again given a full update, the staff are professional and caring and show empathy and understanding and I fully appreciated the call to reassure me . I have always received a call to inform me of any changes with my mum and I really cannot thank the staff for the care they give ,
