Review of Barchester Mallard Court Care Home from L P (Brother-in-law of Resident) published on 28 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mallard Court offered a much needed respite opportunity at short notice. Viewed home on line & met with staff who are friendly and professional. No hesitation in agreeing to them caring for family member. Warm welcome, cheerful staff , excellent understanding of individuals needs .Relaxed atmosphere and visiting opportunities. I am told the food is great and will join for lunch soon . I understand various activities are arranged and will encourage participation. I have observed various staff members interacting with residents and was pleased to see they gave time and understanding to each person . I believe that Mallard Court is safe homely environment where a high level of care is extended to all .

Overall Experience

Overall the home is well run and provides a pleasant environment for the residents. All the meals are prepared using fresh products on site, which is not the case in all residential homes. The staff organises regular entertainment and activities for the residents. The home have an open policy toward visits from family and friends and allow visitors to stay for a meal with their family member for a small fee. Overall I am pleased with all aspects of the home and the care that the staff provide.

We moved our mum from another nearby home where we had major problems with another resident attacking her. The change since we moved to Beaumont has been incredible - mum is happier, is getting up in the mornings and overall is more settled. Can't speak highly enough of the staff and facilities.

Review of Barchester Castle Park Care Home from Chris L (Father of Resident) published on 28 May 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

This review is applicable to a permanent resident who has been at Castle Park since 2020 although there appears to be regular changes of staff, the overall quality of caring has remained high, particularly shown by the friendliness between Carer and Resident in both medical and social situations. A wide range of activities is programmed and in my son's situation he is taken for, external to the Home, physio. The rooms at Castle Park have recently been tastefully refurbished and in my son's case, personalised with possessions including photographs ad memorabilia. Meal choices are varied and served in accordance with residents' wishes. The management and caring teams appear well structured and clearly defined. The Care Home manager produces and circulates a monthly newsletter to families/friends of residents with residents encouraged to contribute.

Review of Barchester Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home from Charlotte H (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 19 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My grandad moved here from his own home, and we've been so pleased with the experience. He's genuinely happy, feels safe, and has become part of a warm and welcoming community.
There's a great variety of activities on offer, so residents can always find something they enjoy. The kitchen is also very accommodating and will happily provide alternatives if something on the menu doesn't suit.

The facilities are well maintained and regularly updated, keeping everything clean, modern, and comfortable. What really stands out, though, is the care staff-they consistently go above and beyond, offering not just professional support but also a personal touch, taking the time to get to know residents and their families.

Review of Barchester Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home from S J (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I can't speak highly enough of Beaumont Stamford Bridge. I moved my mum from a care home in the North West and the difference was like night and day. Staff at Beaumont go above and beyond in every way. It is immaculate, the food is first class, rooms are scrupulously clean and laundry is washed and actually returned to the residents. My mum had many complex physical and mental health issues, all of which were understood with empathy and dealt with professionally by staff. Sadly my mum developed a terminal condition. This was treated in Beaumont with compassion and she was nursed with such love and care for the 3+ years that she lived there right up until the end. It is very much a family rather than a care home and the staff truly set it apart. They have been there for me too and I felt their love and support when she passed away. I cannot recommend Beaumont enough and it was worth every penny to see her safe and so well cared for.

Review of Barchester Lindum House from J B (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Lindum house is a lovely safe friendly and caring environment for my Dad.
He has everything he needs and the staff are all amazing. A great team of caring professionals. Nothing is too much trouble from the nursing team, the catering staff and the groundsman.

Everything is well organised and the staff work as a great team. There is a clear routine everyday which helps build trust and confidence with the residents. Clothes are always clean and the environment is always tidy. There are plenty of activities but there is no pressure to participate. As a relative I am always included and listened to and never made to feel a nuisance when I ask for something, which is much appreciated. Some of the furnishings are a bit tired, but this is purely cosmetic.

Review of Barchester Lindum House from Susan W (Daughter of Resident) published on 1 April 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The first thing that struck us when we first entered Lindum House was the peace, cleanliness, and calmness of the home. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the whole place had a 'home from home' feel about it, especially with the coffee bar area where residents relaxed and chatted on comfortable settees. Dad loved the room he was shown, and with the staff's help, it very quickly became 'his' with pictures from his home put up and the room made to accommodate his wheelchair. 'It has everything I need in here', Dad said. He loves the beautiful gardens and being outside. He has started to enjoy the varied activities provided and has made friends with several residents. Dad enjoys meal time and the varied choice menu, along with the snacks available at the coffee bar, like fresh fruit and cake. All the staff have been so helpful to us and dad in making this transition to living at Lindum House. It really is like visiting Dad in his own house. It's such a relief to know Dad is safe and well cared for and treated as an individual. Thank you.

Overall Experience

My dad moved into this care home just over three weeks ago and has improved so much in just a short time. All the staff are so welcoming helpful and reassuring, We chose this home after we had a unpleasant experience in another home and they are worlds apart, they are not only supporting my dad but us as a family. They treat him with dignity and respect and don't talk to him like a child. Dad looks a lot happier and they are constantly interacting with him. They take him on outings and help him interact with other residents in the home. The home is a bright and lively place, his room is always clean and tidy, bedding changed all the time. I have been there for some meal times and the food always looks beautiful offering a start, main and dessert, they come round offering him drinks and snacks all the time. As a family we feel happy that Dad is safe and well cared for by all the staff in the home. Hopefully Dad will get a lot better and stay happy here for many years.

Review of Barchester Mallard Court Care Home from John R (Son of Resident) published on 17 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum recently passed away at Mallard Court Care Home. She had been there for approximately eighteen months. From day one to her passing she received all the care and attention she needed as she had dementia. She was happy there despite the dementia and really enjoyed all the activities organised on a daily basis together with the occasional trip outside the home. The staff are really caring with the residents and made sure she had everything she needed right to the end. She really enjoyed the food especially the cooked breakfast every morning. On a personal note I can't thank the staff enough for helping me through her last days and would recommend the home to anyone with a loved one with dementia. Keep up the good work at Mallard Court!

Review of Barchester Mallard Court Care Home from Alexandra L (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 January 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother Barbara spent her last 3 months at Mallard Court and the care she received was exemplary. My Mum had Vascular Dementia was deaf and had very bad eyesight. I had never before been in a Care Home which was so well designed to maximise the few senses my Mum still had. She could walk well and was encouraged to do so with attractive bright spacious rooms and corridors with seats placed at convenient spots and brightly coloured textured objects to feel and explore. It was a delight to visit her as both the staff and the residents were all so friendly and kind. All the residents on memory lane had some memory problems, but they all seemed so happy and free. Up to this point I had only visited homes where it seemed to be expected that residents had to sit in a chair all day. Mallard Court was a revelation. I only wish I had discovered it sooner. I would strongly recommend this home to anyone wanting a happy, safe and interesting and stimulating home for their loved one.

My husband was seriously ill when he arrived at Lindum House. He was cared for, for the last 2 months of his life. We were pleased to see that his needs were met with kindness, respect and professionalism by all staff that were involved. Although it was a sad experience for my husband and us as a family, we were well supported, & well-informed throughout that time. Thankyou.
