Lindum house is a lovely safe friendly and caring environment for my Dad.
He has everything he needs and the staff are all amazing. A great team of caring professionals. Nothing is too much trouble from the nursing team, the catering staff and the groundsman.
Everything is well organised and the
staff work as a great team. There is a clear routine everyday which helps build trust and confidence with the residents. Clothes are always clean and the environment is always tidy. There are plenty of activities but there is no pressure to participate. As a relative I am always included and listened to and never made to feel a nuisance when I ask for something, which is much appreciated. Some of the furnishings are a bit tired, but this is purely cosmetic.

The first thing that struck us when we first entered Lindum House was the peace, cleanliness, and calmness of the home. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the whole place had a 'home from home' feel about it, especially with the coffee bar area where residents relaxed and chatted on
comfortable settees. Dad loved the room he was shown, and with the staff's help, it very quickly became 'his' with pictures from his home put up and the room made to accommodate his wheelchair. 'It has everything I need in here', Dad said. He loves the beautiful gardens and being outside. He has started to enjoy the varied activities provided and has made friends with several residents. Dad enjoys meal time and the varied choice menu, along with the snacks available at the coffee bar, like fresh fruit and cake. All the staff have been so helpful to us and dad in making this transition to living at Lindum House. It really is like visiting Dad in his own house. It's such a relief to know Dad is safe and well cared for and treated as an individual. Thank you.

My dad moved into this care home just over three weeks ago and has improved so much in just a short time. All the staff are so welcoming helpful and reassuring, We chose this home after we had a unpleasant experience in another home and they are worlds apart, they are not only supporting my dad but
us as a family. They treat him with dignity and respect and don't talk to him like a child. Dad looks a lot happier and they are constantly interacting with him. They take him on outings and help him interact with other residents in the home. The home is a bright and lively place, his room is always clean and tidy, bedding changed all the time. I have been there for some meal times and the food always looks beautiful offering a start, main and dessert, they come round offering him drinks and snacks all the time. As a family we feel happy that Dad is safe and well cared for by all the staff in the home. Hopefully Dad will get a lot better and stay happy here for many years.

My mum recently passed away at Mallard Court Care Home. She had been there for approximately eighteen months. From day one to her passing she received all the care and attention she needed as she had dementia. She was happy there despite the dementia and really enjoyed all the activities organised
on a daily basis together with the occasional trip outside the home. The staff are really caring with the residents and made sure she had everything she needed right to the end. She really enjoyed the food especially the cooked breakfast every morning. On a personal note I can't thank the staff enough for helping me through her last days and would recommend the home to anyone with a loved one with dementia. Keep up the good work at Mallard Court!
Reply from Tanya Webster, Admin Assistant at Barchester Mallard Court Care HomeThank you ever so much for your lovely review John. My mother Barbara spent her last 3 months at Mallard Court and the care she received was exemplary. My Mum had Vascular Dementia was deaf and had very bad eyesight. I had never before been in a Care Home which was so well designed to maximise the few senses my Mum still had. She could walk well and
was encouraged to do so with attractive bright spacious rooms and corridors with seats placed at convenient spots and brightly coloured textured objects to feel and explore. It was a delight to visit her as both the staff and the residents were all so friendly and kind. All the residents on memory lane had some memory problems, but they all seemed so happy and free. Up to this point I had only visited homes where it seemed to be expected that residents had to sit in a chair all day. Mallard Court was a revelation. I only wish I had discovered it sooner. I would strongly recommend this home to anyone wanting a happy, safe and interesting and stimulating home for their loved one.
Reply from Tanya Webster, Admin Assistant at Barchester Mallard Court Care HomeThank you very much for your review. Your Mum Barbara is missed and was a lovely member of Memory lane at Mallard Court. You are more than welcome to pop in for a visit at any time.

My husband was seriously ill when he arrived at Lindum House. He was cared for, for the last 2 months of his life. We were pleased to see that his needs were met with kindness, respect and professionalism by all staff that were involved. Although it was a sad experience for my husband and us as a family,
we were well supported, & well-informed throughout that time. Thankyou.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming and genuinely interested in the residents well being. We couldn't fault their attention to detail. Thank you!!
The home was clean, no smell, menus displayed and well presented dining room and lovely reception and lounge area.
View from the bedroom
was disappointing and the outside area was limited.
Visitors are treated really well and drinks are always available which is a nice added extra

From the 1st look around the home until the day my Dad went home the entire workforce took such pride in their work. Following several months in hospital followed by a month in a sub standard care home elsewhere the staff turned an underweight depressed man into a cheerful outgoing happy chap. He loved
every day with the wide variety of activities on offer, he loved the food and nothing was too much trouble if he needed help.

I would say my experience is really very good, the staff are exceptional it is just that at times there does seem to be a shortage of staff, particularly on a night. Also as the home is set over two floors there probably needs to be more staff allocated to each floor.
Another comment would be regarding
size of toilet in the rooms, they are too small to accommodate a rollator making it difficult for my husband to use unaided.
Reply from Jayne Clarke, General Manager at Barchester Lindum HouseThank you for sharing your experience, which we are thrilled to hear is very good. Thank you for your comments regarding our staff team; we work hard to recruit the right carers and ensure they are inducted and trained to a high standard. We continually review our rota's to ensure we are continually meeting the needs of our residents as their health needs change. I will be sure to share your kind words with the wider team. My husband regularly comes to Beaumont Care Home for respite. The respite breaks have benefited us both hugely. He is quite socially isolated at home and values the respite break because it is a change of environment and gives him chance to interact with different people. He also loves the food!
I
value the break enormously because I have chance to recharge my batteries.
The arrangement only works so well because of the amazing team at Beaumont.
We both get such a lovely warm welcome when we arrive. It feels as though we are returning to our extended family.
The staff are very caring and professional and also very kind. When I was unwell they supported me which I really appreciated.
The nurses and care staff listen and make note of any changes in my husband's condition when he is admitted so that I know his needs will be met and I have 100% confidence in their skills.
There is also lots of laughter and fun which is brilliant and most welcome.
Reply from Emma Smith, General Manager at Barchester Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experience of respite at Stamford Bridge Beaumont. I am pleased that we can help you both regularly in this way. I will pass on your kind comments to the staff and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

My Mam has been a resident of Lindum House for around 4 years now and as a family we are 100% happy with the care provided.
Mum has had a number of challenges to overcome this year, having lost her dear friend and companion whom was a fellow resident of Lindum in the early part of the year along
with some general health issues associated with her dementia. But rest assured the Management and Staff were always on hand to support my Mum both physically and emotionally.
Additionally, the daily and weekly activities are excellent and are thoroughly enjoyed by residents and family alike.
In summary, I would have no hesitation in recommending Lindum House as a care provider, the Management, Staff and Care workers all work extremely hard and more importantly they genuinely care.
Thank you to all at Lindum House, you are doing an amazing job.
Best Regards
Tony

My brother recently stayed at Lindum House for a period of respite, enabling him to have a holiday and revisit old haunts for the first time in several years. The staff couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating, ensuring my brother's care needs were met, while allowing us to go out during the
