I find this home very pleasant to visit and the hygiene is absolutely first class. The residents are cared for very professionaly and nothing is too much to ask. They have entertainment to the best of their ability and all staff and residents get involved
Thank You for this lovely review it is much much appreciated
Ever since we visited Castle Park we had a really good feel for the place and all the staff. My daughter has been a resident for just over a month and has settled in very well. Everyone have been very welcoming and do as much as possible for all residents and visiting is a pleasure.
Thank You for this lovely review, Its great to know your daughter is so settled and she is in the right home to help her thrive.
This review is applicable to a permanent resident who has been at Castle Park since 2020 although there appears to be regular changes of staff, the overall quality of caring has remained high, particularly shown by the friendliness between Carer and Resident in both medical and social situations. A wide range of activities is programmed and in my son's situation he is taken for, external to the Home, physio. The rooms at Castle Park have recently been tastefully refurbished and in my son's case, personalised with possessions including photographs ad memorabilia. Meal choices are varied and served in accordance with residents' wishes. The management and caring teams appear well structured and clearly defined. The Care Home manager produces and circulates a monthly newsletter to families/friends of residents with residents encouraged to contribute.
Thank you for this lovely review it is much appreciated.
The care my husband receives at Castle Park is wonderful. Nothing is too much. The staff are attentive to his needs. In particular the enthusiasm from the activity team is second to none. There is always fun at the home and lots of different activities.
It is our continue pleasure to care and support your husband. His gentle nature makes us smile every single day.
As my sons mam it means the world to me knowing he's being looked after so well, the care staff are great when ever I visit the care staff always greet me with a smile , seeing my son happy and cared for reassures me that this place is right
Thank You for this lovely review. We love having your son in our home for nearly 6 years now, he has grown into such a pleasant, happy young man right before our eyes which is our special privilege.
I recommend castle park to anyone who will listen its not often I'd move into a home but I would this !
Wendy and Sonia are always ready to listen and very easy to talk to
I honestly could go on for a long time about Castle Park
This review is very much appreciated and beautiful words which I will pass on to all my team.
Castle Park has such a relaxed and homely feeling, it's lovely to hear music playing throughout the day. Two of our family members live there and nothing is too much bother for the team. They took the time to get to know both of them and helped them to settle in with kind gestures such as a room move when they noticed that one of them enjoyed being outside, as well as planning a fabulous 60th birthday party with less than 2 weeks to go! We are really grateful as a family to see how well cared for and happy our family members are.
Thank You for this lovely review. Both of your relatives have settled in very well and its so lovely to see that they both get involved in some of the activities.
My daughter is a long term resident who has enjoyed excellent care to meet her challenging needs over a number of years. She is treated with respect and enjoys interacting with the care team whenever possible. This year has seen a downturn in her condition making communication difficult for her, but the team has adapted quickly to this new norm. Overall, I have been impressed by the level of care provided, my daughter feels safe and happy here and I have peace of mind knowing that she is being looked after by the best care team in the local area
Thank You for this lovely review. Your daughter has certainly hit some challenges but she does so with her lovely smile.
lovely atmosphere, staff are very good and caring to all.
Entertainment + Activities are great.
Nothing is ever too much trouble.
Thank You for this amazing review. Its lovely seeing you all every day.
Castle Park is really nice place all staff look after my nephew well.
Thank You for this review, your nephew is one special person and makes us all smile.
It has taken time for him to settle. His mental capacity has been respected therefore we feel has has not always taken advice . We hope that his medication review will help with pain reduction and he will attempt to do more for himself.
Thank You for this review, Your loved one has certainly made his presence known in the service and really settled in well. and working with him we hope he continues to thrive in his rehabilitation.
I have been very impressed with the level of care my son has received at Castle Park, initially as a respite user and now as a permanent resident. He has a complex condition and struggles with communication but every effort is made to engage him in activities and to make him feel safe. He is very happy there.
Thank You for this review. Your son has really settled in and seems to be thoroughly enjoying the different activities we offer. He always has that lovely smile on his face.
My friendmcontinues to receive excellent care from all of the staff. My friend is a long-term resident (over 30 years now) and soon lets me know if standards have dropped in any aspect of his care.
Thank You for this review, it is appreciated. We agree, after all those years caring for him we know him very well but wouldn't have him any other way.
The overall care for my wife really reassures me, I struggled not visiting, but, after a very short space of time, identified that the staff,REALLY DO CARE, about everyone. I don't gave a bad word to say about anyone or anything I have witnessed, seeing a smile on my wifes face, tells me everything I need to know. Keep up the great work. Everyone. From management, nursing, carers, hospitality,I thank you all.
Thank You for this lovely review. Your wife is an amazing lady and its a pleasure caring for her.

The team are all very friendly and welcoming. They take good care of my brother. They all seem to understand his "sense of humour". He seems happy as he can be given the circumstances and there are always lots of activities to keep him occupied.
Thank You for your comments. He is certainly a big character and brings laughter daily to the service. It is a pleasure supporting him.
Very happy with the care and dignity given to my friend. She seems happy and well cared for in the home. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help when I visit.

Meet the Team (1)

Hi, my name is Wendy and I am the General Manager here at Castle Park.
My background was initially medically elderly nursing some 20+ years ago (where does time fly). I can honestly say I have loved every area of nursing I have worked in, from surgical, infectious diseases, and oncology, working on opposite sides of the world, but since joining Castle Park in 2012 I have become so involved with each and every one of the younger residents we care for, they feel like an extended family to me, I am now in my forever job role.
We strive for ways to promote independence, enhance lifestyles and hopefully have a lot of fun along the way. We appreciate how hard complex care can be for families that is why after the Coronavirus pandemic we made the decision to have a dedicated respite room to support families who need a little bit of breathing space for a short while.
My team and I have many years of experience and enhanced skills, which enable us all to deliver the highest standard of care to look after your loved ones.
Please meet some of my team who are as passionate about Castle Park as I am.
