Everyone at Castle Park Care Home can never do enough for my sister. Girls are so polite and friendly, always have a smile on my face knowing my sister is well looked after so I don't have to worry.
Thank you very much for this lovely review, we really appreciate your continued support.
My brother lived in Barchester Castle Park Care Home for twenty-one years and was cared for very well by all the staff. I wanted to pay particular attention to how the last three months of his life were, he was cared for in an excellent manner and loved by the staff. I would not have wanted him anywhere else and I will always be eternally grateful.
Thank you for this lovely heartfelt review. Your brother is deeply missed by everyone and we still have constant reminders daily of him, especially his photo on the fridge that was gifted by you. It was our pleasure to be part of your extended family.
Our son had an assessment for a new electric wheelchair, the staff tried for over 3/4 hours to get a wheelchair taxi for 8:15am, none available, it was their turn for the "home's" minibus a licenced driver was on shift, the management offered to take him as apps are hard to get, and would be a long time for another app, so grateful - gone that extra mile, thank you so much.
Thank you for this review, we always try and put the residents first and will always find solutions if we can. Great teamwork by the team
My brother had an important appointment this morning and there were no wheelchairs/taxis available, but they have a bus that they use for outings, and one of the ladies made herself available to take my brother and our parents to the appointment. We really appreciate it and all that you do for him. Thank you very much.
Thank you for this lovely message; we will always try and support our residents in every way possible, this act was solely initiated by the care team thinking outside the norm, which makes me proud of them.
My mother-in-law wasn't in a good place with her problem before she started to live at Castle Park. She had both a leg amputated and the doctors said she won't live long. From her staying at Castle Park, the infection in her leg is getting a lot better. My mother-in-law is almost back to herself. The care she receives is the most amazing. Thank you to every staff member in Castle Park.
Thank you for this lovely review, Your mother-in-law is an amazing lady with so much passion for life. Castle Park is a better place for having her with us and it is such a pleasure that we are the lucky ones supporting her.
I go to the home to see my son and I see the staff working, noone stops. Then go out with the resident to shop. They have done more for my son than the hospital did. I am pleased with the staff they are good.
Thank you for this review, all the staff work extremely hard with the main focus of putting the resident first. Your son is a welcome addition to Castle Park family and we enjoy having him and his cheeky nature.
Since my daughter moved to Castle Park, she has been well looked after and is very happy being there.
As I say to other people, it's not home from home but your loved one will be well looked after.
Thank you for this lovely review, Very happy your daughter is with us. We also get the added bonus of seeing her family a couple of times a week which is always a pleasure.
Castle Park has been a wonderful place to stay for respite care for my daughter. She is always very happy to go, and everyone makes a fuss of her and says "hello, glad to see you back". From the manager to the nurses and care staff and cleaners - everyone is so helpful. Always willing to listen and help wherever they can. Nothing is too much trouble, which makes it easier for me. The activities team are first class. Keep up the good work Castle Park.
It is an absolute pleasure to care for your daughter, she's part of our happy family and we enjoy supporting her every month.
I was very worried about my brother going away from the family home where I had kept him as safe as I could for nine years. However, the management at Barchester Castle Park Care Home were reassuring and he settled well before he died which means a great deal to me.
Thank you for this lovely review, in the short time we knew your brother his character started to come out and we could see his personality shining. It was a shame we only had a limited time with him and to learn all his quirks, especially his dedication to his skittles. We played a small part in...
Staff are always helpful, recently we had a bereavement and a carer took my sister to the funeral of our brother and stayed all day. Nothing was too much trouble for the carer, her attention to my sister was outstanding. This carer was a top-notch girl and such a credit to Barchester Castle Park Care Home. For someone so young her attention and empathy amazed me and my family.
Thank you for this lovely review, it was a pleasure to support your family member and we hope we continue in all circumstances.
Really happy with the care and service my dad receives! I have a settled mind knowing he is taken care of I can call and visit whenever I want and I am always happy when I come to see my dad looking well.
Thank you for this lovely review. Your dad is one of our longest residents with us and holds a special place in all our hearts.
Our son has been going to Castle Park for respite for a few months now. He always enjoys his stay and looks forward to his next stay. The staff and management are always helpful if we have a query. We had been looking for somewhere that our son likes as he is our main priority. Finally, we have somewhere that we are happy to take him to, and he is very happy to go. I have just asked him what he likes about Castle Park, and he said the staff spoil him, and the food is fantastic.
Thank you for this review. We love having him with us when he visits. His cheeky gentle nature puts smiles on our faces; he is a true courteous gentleman, and a pleasure having him stay with us.
The service users who I care for came here for respite after a stay in hospital. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. The standard of care is good, with plenty of activities planned for service users.
It was a pleasure to help support this resident while he was having respite with us. He took a little bit of our hearts with him and will be missed, especially his cheekiness and sense of humour. It was a pleasure meeting all his home carers- hopefully, our paths will cross again if respite is required again.
Very happy with all aspects of care my daughter receives, all I want is for her to be happy and she is.
Thank you for this review, your daughter raises everybody's spirits with her cheekiness and beautiful nature.
I find Barchester Castle Park to be a nice care home, friendly, helpful staff.
Thank you for your review, your brother has settled in very well in the 3 months he has been with us.
Despite only being a resident for 7 months, the staff (all of them) were really dedicated to the care of all the residents. The facilities are superb and the food is prepared onsite. My stepson and the others were treated like a big family. As his health declined, the carers were lovely and gave him a lot of attention. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Castle Park. So understanding, caring and considerate.
Thank you for this lovely review. Such a short period of time we were apart of your lives, we thank you for that.
The building is cleaned thoroughly and daily and the food was homecooked on-site and was delicious. Cannot speak for anywhere else but our experience was excellent for the short time my son was there.
Thank you for this heartfelt review. In the short time we knew all of you, you made as much of an impression on us and I am pleased to know we did on you all.
The quality and support given to my son who can be extremely difficult have been superb. The staff are friendly, approachable and caring. Whilst all are professional in their dedication there are many at least 2 in my experience who have gone above and beyond their call of duty to assist in what has been an extremely distressing year in many ways, not least through the pandemic but also by offering outstanding emotional support. I thank the management and all the wonderful selfless staff for all they do, have done and I am confident will continue to do. Such dedication is rare!
Thank you for this beautiful review. It has been an extremly tough year for everyone but the support we have gladly given and received has been amazing.
My sister has been in care for over 1 and a half years and has been well cared for. My only issue is with her incontinence, her pads need changing more often as my mum does her washing, and her trousers are often soaked in urine.

Meet the Team (1)

Hi, my name is Wendy and I am the General Manager here at Castle Park.
My background was initially medically elderly nursing some 20+ years ago (where does time fly). I can honestly say I have loved every area of nursing I have worked in, from surgical, infectious diseases, and oncology, working on opposite sides of the world, but since joining Castle Park in 2012 I have become so involved with each and every one of the younger residents we care for, they feel like an extended family to me, I am now in my forever job role.
We strive for ways to promote independence, enhance lifestyles and hopefully have a lot of fun along the way. We appreciate how hard complex care can be for families that is why after the Coronavirus pandemic we made the decision to have a dedicated respite room to support families who need a little bit of breathing space for a short while.
My team and I have many years of experience and enhanced skills, which enable us all to deliver the highest standard of care to look after your loved ones.
Please meet some of my team who are as passionate about Castle Park as I am.
