Overall Experience

Mother is happy and very well looked after. She is very fond of staff members and always appears comfortable in their presence. She enjoys her food although has not a big appetite but the varied menu always provides plenty choices. Staff are always pleasant and make time to chat. A very pleasant and homely atmosphere.

Overall Experience
My dad moved into Canmore Lodge in November 2024. The care they provide is truly exceptional. From the moment you enter the home, the welcoming atmosphere and genuine warmth of the staff are immediately apparent. One of the standout features of Canmore Lodge is the staff. They are not only highly trained but also compassionate and dedicated to their roles and go above and beyond their duties.
My dad is treated with the utmost respect and kindness, and all of the staff ensure that he feels safe, valued and supported.

Communication with families is excellent, and we are informed promptly with all aspects of my dad's health and care staff are always approachable, transparent and supportive. The home is always very clean, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained. My dad has access to a variety of activities, which we are informed of weekly. The meals provided are of a high standard and a wide variety of choices. Overall, Canmore Lodge provides an outstanding level of service.

I feel my dad has improved a lot since going to the care home his health & mental health are a lot better his eating is far much better to what he use to be like also his hygiene is a lot better my dad is more settled knowing people are there even though he doest interact with Activitys he is alot happier hearing people and seeing people every day hoping to get him out in the garden & his greenhouse as the weather gets better.

Overall Experience
This is an outstanding Care Home. What makes the home so special is the quality and experience of the staff who are all permanent employees. From the very first appointment we had, it was the only Care Home we visited that totally focused on my dad's needs given his deterioration with Alzheimers. The care he has received has been of the highest standard from all members of staff including Senior Management. Their communication is excellent especially during times where a change is noted in my dad's health. They continually go above and beyond to provide care for my dad. We feel very fortunate that my Dad is being looked after in this Care Home. My family is constantly reassured that his individual needs are being met, and that he is in a safe, secure and hygienic environment.

In the year my Dad has been a resident, the staff have got to know him and have put a smile back on his face.

My mother in law recently moved into the home and we cannot thank all of the staff enough for the care and compassion that has been shown to all of us and her. She has settled so well and really came out of her shell. The carers go above and beyond and it is nice to see her happy and laughing again.

After several years of caring for my husband at home, I found it necessary to find a suitable facility for him to be cared for. We were lucky enough in being accepted into Canmore Lodge. The help, assistance and care received goes above + beyond all expectations. With it's home from home atmosphere, one could not ask for a better care home to be part of. A privalidge indeed. Overall Experience
Our experience with Canmore Lodge has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment my mother moved in, it was clear that the staff genuinely cared about her well-being. They were kind, compassionate, and always went above and beyond to ensure she felt comfortable, safe, and respected. The environment was warm and welcoming, making it easier for our family to trust that she was in good hands.
The caregivers were attentive to her needs and were proactive in keeping us updated on her health and any changes. It was evident that they treated her like family, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. The activities offered were also wonderful, providing both physical and mental stimulation that greatly enhanced her quality of life.

We cannot thank the team at Canmore Lodge enough for the love and care they provided to my mother during her time there. It was truly a place where she felt cared for, valued, and at home.

Could not think of a better place for my husband to spend his last few months. The care, compassion and 'can-do' attitude of the entire staff is unbelievable. We are grateful for the kitchen staff, cleaning staff and all the nursing staff.

On entering Barchester Canmore Lodge Care Home, the first thing you see is the smiling face of reception, the care, love and attention that was given to my mother was second to none. The pressure that was taken off my family was immense. From the nurses to the laundry lady, I can't thank you all enough.

I visit Barchester Canmore Lodge Care Home with my dog twice a week. The staff are brilliant with me. My wife was in Canmore but passed away in January. The support I received and the care my wife had was excellent. I look forward to my visits to the home, the staff always have time for us.

The most important item for myself and my family is knowing my wife is well cared for which takes the pressure off us.
The staff are all very caring, well mannered and friendly. They go the extra mile and always cheerfully to me.
We have built up a very nice relationship with all the staff, from management to the nurses.

Overall Experience

Barchester Canmore Lodge Care Home has looked after my aunt these last seven years until her passing earlier this year. The physical care was exceptional as my aunt was always clean, kempt, neatly dressed and smart-looking. But, more than this, she was lovingly cared for emotionally. My aunt looked up to the nurses and carers with smiling eyes and likewise, the staff spoke with her kindly and lovingly. The 'family' atmosphere there is tangible. When any health problem arose, Canmore Lodge acted quickly and professionally.
