Edingley Lodge is a beautiful home in a lovely location. From the beginning, my mum has been treated with exceptional warmth and dignity by the lovely staff. Communication with her family, when necessary, is prompt, and the safety and security of residents is evident.
The food is excellent, and the
dining area is beautifully set out.
We feel that mum is seen as an individual, and that is important to her and her family.

The care that mum recieves is superb, however, there are times when no carers are available (waited 70 minutes) and Mum has had to urinate in her bed. Also, time critical medication has been administered up to 80 minutes late, on at least two occasions this month.

Dad came from hospital and Hall Park on Friday 20/3/26 for palliative care. He died peacefully 1 week later on 27/3/26. The care was phenomenal - kind, generous, above and beyond. Helping us siblings (David's offspring) through the process. Nothing appeared too difficult and all of our needs were thought
of and met. I have already started recommending you. Thank you.
Reply from Jodie Rakhra, General Manager at Barchester Hall Park Care HomeOur team will be very touched to hear that their kindness, attentiveness, and compassion made a difference to both your dad and your family. Supporting you and your siblings through such a significant and emotional time is something we take to heart, and it means a great deal to know that you felt cared for and thought of throughout.

The culture at the home is excellent. Amongst the staff and between staff and residents and staff and residents families. Our dad was at Hall Park for a very short time (1 week) and we have been surprised at the connection made in this time with staff. They have all individually been kind, generous
with their time. Compassionate and very sensitive in there care of our dad. Showed constant dignity and maintained their professional conduct throughout.
Reply from Jodie Rakhra, General Manager at Barchester Hall Park Care HomeThank you for sharing such a touching message. We are so glad your dad felt supported and respected during his time with us. Your appreciation means the world to our team. Were thinking of you and your family.

I have to say this care home is the best I have come across. My mother has dementia and has been here since December 2025. She had been in 3 previous care homes which were not good at all. We looked round lots of homes had to make appointments for viewing, but with Hall Park we turned up at 5pm
on a Sunday and they had no problem with it at all. They showed us round and answered all our questions. It was not rushed at all. They even showed us the laundry and kitchen. I knew immediately mum needed to be there. Since she moved in they have been fantastic. The carers are really hot on spotting when something is not right with mums health and wellbeing. I'm so grateful to them for looking after mum so well. Thank you so much.

I'm confident my mum is being well cared for. The staff are friendly and approachable and treat my mum with kindness. The meals are excellent and when I've been there at lunchtime always look and smell delicious. The rooms are clean and tidy whenever I have visited and my mum is always presentable.
If there is one thing I would improve on its perhaps updating the room carpet and decor to freshen it up a little. But all in all I'm happy with the care my mum recieves.

My mum came here following a stay in hospital. She came from another care home. It's not until you are out of a different home you see just how brilliant Forest Hill is from the bottom to the top. The care is another level. Mum is happy, settled and a lot calmer.

Have recently place my elderly parents at Hall Park.
It has not been an easy transition but all staff have worked hard to help my parents settle.
The addition of the salon has been excellent and staff have been excellent.
Dad's a vegitarian and staff have worked hard to ensure he has had a varied
menu.
So far so good!

From being welcomed by the admin staff to view the home the assessment by the general manager, and preparing a room for mum to move into, the whole process was made easier by the care, compassion and helpful assistance by all the staff. Since mum moved in, everyone from the chef, handyman, housekeeping
(special mention) to nurses & carers she has been made to feel safe and comfortable. All the staff show a high level of experience with dementia care - and have great pride in the work - well done!

Amazing care home and amazing staff. They made my dads last nine months the very best they could be under the circumstances. Not only a great place for residents but also for the family and visitors. I wouldn't put my loved ones anywhere else. My only feedback would be that the senior big wigs at Barchester
need to perhaps employ more staff as on occasion they are run ragged for some of the care needs that the residents have. Its all well and good allocating a number of staff to the number of residents but when those residents needs require more than one member of staff they are spread very thin. I'm sure for the fee that's being charged they
can afford to employ a few more staff and focus more on the needs of residents than profit. The staff and management there are amazing and give 100% so they need to be looked after!
Reply from Sam Roe, CRM at Barchester Edingley Lodge Care HomeThank you for your kind words, it means the world to our team to know they brought comfort and support to Dad and your family. We are honoured to have been part of his journey and are so grateful for the trust you placed in us. We appreciate your feedback. We recognise that staffing levels can directly impact both the care experience and the wellbeing of our team, and we continue to monitor resources needed to ensure both are fully supported.Thank you again for comments, the team will really appreciate them.

I've been a resident here at hall park since January 2024. The facilities here are very good and since the newer mini bus has been fitted with tie downs I can go on any trips along with other residents. I've had many health issues some of which meant being admitted to hospital by ambulance. The garden
in the grounds is developing and various vegetables have been eaten by staff and residents. I am very pleased that the family chose this care home above all others

From the first step inside, we knew Hall Park Care Home was the right place to look after dad.
Following a very unsettling and anxious initial few weeks (through no fault of Hall Park), the whole team of carers, domestic staff and management worked closely, patiently and tirelessly with the family
to overcome this. There was constant reassurance and at no point did we feel anything other than confidence in their abilities to care.
Dad is now fully settled and happy and calls it home. There isn't enough space here to single out individual staff for recognition because everyone single one of them has played their part in welcoming and caring for dad. Without exception, the staff all go 'above and beyond'.
We know dad is in a safe, caring and stimulating environment and he is happy - we can't ask for more. Thank you.

All the team within the home are fantastic. My mum has come on leaps and bounds since becoming a resident. She enjoys all the activities that are held both on site and also the visits out. Mum recently went out to a farm. The carers sent me a video of my mum having a cuppa and a scone. The smile from
my mum said it all. Highly recommended.
