My mum went in for two weeks respite care. The staff were very friendly and helpful and mum was well looked after. My mum has moderate/advanced dementia and cannot communicate in her own language to the staff. They made the effort to translate common questions and answers into my mum's native language, printed them and laminated the sheets to help communicate with mum. I really appreciated that. They can improve communication further by using picture cards for residents with communication problems.

Hall Park Care Home provided one week's respite care for my mum, enabling my dad to have a much needed break from his role of primary carer.

We were a little anxious - my mum has always been resistant to the idea of needing any care. Thankfully the staff were so respectful, warm and accommodating that she settled in quickly and easily. Thank you Hall Park, we will definitely come back again for more respite care very soon.

Dad came from hospital and Hall Park on Friday 20/3/26 for palliative care. He died peacefully 1 week later on 27/3/26. The care was phenomenal - kind, generous, above and beyond. Helping us siblings (David's offspring) through the process. Nothing appeared too difficult and all of our needs were thought of and met. I have already started recommending you. Thank you.

Our team will be very touched to hear that their kindness, attentiveness, and compassion made a difference to both your dad and your family. Supporting you and your siblings through such a significant and emotional time is something we take to heart, and it means a great deal to know that you felt cared for and thought of throughout.

The culture at the home is excellent. Amongst the staff and between staff and residents and staff and residents families. Our dad was at Hall Park for a very short time (1 week) and we have been surprised at the connection made in this time with staff. They have all individually been kind, generous with their time. Compassionate and very sensitive in there care of our dad. Showed constant dignity and maintained their professional conduct throughout.

I have to say this care home is the best I have come across. My mother has dementia and has been here since December 2025. She had been in 3 previous care homes which were not good at all. We looked round lots of homes had to make appointments for viewing, but with Hall Park we turned up at 5pm on a Sunday and they had no problem with it at all. They showed us round and answered all our questions. It was not rushed at all. They even showed us the laundry and kitchen. I knew immediately mum needed to be there. Since she moved in they have been fantastic. The carers are really hot on spotting when something is not right with mums health and wellbeing. I'm so grateful to them for looking after mum so well. Thank you so much.

I'm confident my mum is being well cared for. The staff are friendly and approachable and treat my mum with kindness. The meals are excellent and when I've been there at lunchtime always look and smell delicious. The rooms are clean and tidy whenever I have visited and my mum is always presentable. If there is one thing I would improve on its perhaps updating the room carpet and decor to freshen it up a little. But all in all I'm happy with the care my mum recieves.

Have recently place my elderly parents at Hall Park.
It has not been an easy transition but all staff have worked hard to help my parents settle.
The addition of the salon has been excellent and staff have been excellent.
Dad's a vegitarian and staff have worked hard to ensure he has had a varied menu.

So far so good!

I've been a resident here at hall park since January 2024. The facilities here are very good and since the newer mini bus has been fitted with tie downs I can go on any trips along with other residents. I've had many health issues some of which meant being admitted to hospital by ambulance. The garden in the grounds is developing and various vegetables have been eaten by staff and residents. I am very pleased that the family chose this care home above all others

From the first step inside, we knew Hall Park Care Home was the right place to look after dad.
Following a very unsettling and anxious initial few weeks (through no fault of Hall Park), the whole team of carers, domestic staff and management worked closely, patiently and tirelessly with the family to overcome this. There was constant reassurance and at no point did we feel anything other than confidence in their abilities to care.
Dad is now fully settled and happy and calls it home. There isn't enough space here to single out individual staff for recognition because everyone single one of them has played their part in welcoming and caring for dad. Without exception, the staff all go 'above and beyond'.

We know dad is in a safe, caring and stimulating environment and he is happy - we can't ask for more. Thank you.

Brilliant home in my opinion! Staff were very friendly, caring and attentive; plenty of activities for residents to get involved in including a day out; clean and beautiful exterior to home. I also like that the visiting times were not restricted and you could visit at any time. Couldn't compliment this home enough!

Everyone is very friendly and helpful from the receptionist, office staff, carers and all helpers in the house. It is bright, very clean and a very welcoming place to visit. It in like visiting my sister's own home. The activities are relative and enjoyable and my sister loves them and takes part often. I am frequently offered a tea or coffee and there is a very happy atmosphere.

From the enquiry about my dad, to when he left after 2 weeks of respite, the care home staff were outstanding.
Always welcomed with a smile and the offer of fresh coffee and pastries.
All the staff were helpful with my dad and couldn't do enough for him.
It was like a 5 star holiday for him.
Thank you to the care home manager for all your advice and always there to have a chat.

I cannot thank you all enough for all the care you gave my dad while there, you are all stars.

Mum has been at Barchester Hall Park Care Home for twenty months. She has advanced dementia and lives on Memory Lane. The staff are wonderful with her and there are always lots of activities happening to keep her entertained. She is very happy there.
The staff also look out for my dad, who has milder dementia, when he visits Mum. The way they are both treated gives me peace of mind that I made the right choice.

The home has recently undergone a major refurbishment and looks fantastic. I would certainly recommend Hall Park for anyone looking for a home for their loved ones.

My mum celebrated her 104th birthday at Barchester Hall Park Care Home and had a fantastic day. The staff wanted her to receive at least 104 birthday cards and arranged with local nurseries and schools to make some. Along with the family and their contacts, Mum managed to get over 300 cards and we spent the afternoon opening them all, we had glitter everywhere. (The staff did a brilliant clean up afterwards). The home arranged for a couple of local nurseries to visit and bring birthday greetings and sang to her, also a performance of a musical was arranged, followed by a carol singsong. The family arranged for the local news to come along and film the day. The recording was shown the following day, lovely for Mum whilst promoting Hall Park.
Mum had an emotional, enjoyable but tiring day and loved all the attention and her cake (made by the home's chef).

Thank you Hall Park staff and residents for all that you did to make the day so special.
