Everything I have recieved has been perfect in every way. All staff, food has been excellent, I've enjoyed my time with other residents too.

Unfortunately Mums health deteriorated in April of this year but the care & love from the team continued & her spirit was helped. The care in her last few days was exceptional. A massive thank you to all at Snowdrop.

Barchester St Thomas Care Home has been the very best care home for my brother. The outstanding care he has received while living with dementia has given our family great reassurance and peace of mind.

The staff are exceptionally attentive and always take the time to listen to relatives, valuing our views and involving us in his care. They are compassionate, caring, friendly, and treat every resident with dignity and respect.

What stands out most is their understanding of holistic care for older people. They not only meet my brother's physical needs but also support his emotional well being, social engagement, and quality of life. Their kindness, patience, and dedication are evident every day. Credit to the Manager and her nursing care team.

I cannot praise the team highly enough. Knowing that my brother is safe, happy, cared for by such professional and compassionate staff means a great deal to our family. We are truly grateful for the outstanding care and support they provide.

A very friendly, caring and helpful environment. From the first chat with Nikki who made everything easier throughout my husband's stay to the seniors,carers, housekeeping, maintenance,chefs . It was quite an emotional departure like leaving family.

I would describe it as being a mix between a hotel & residential home, it doesn't feel at all institutionalised, with the residents having a lot of freedom as to what they do & where they eat etc. There is a cafe where residents & their families can have coffee & cake and frequent trips out & activities - we are pleasantly surprised how much our Dad has joined in & is hardly in his room. All the staff are genuinely friendly & caring, we feel very happy knowing he is being well looked after there.

I attended the Summer Fair a few days ago at Wimborne and what a lovely time I had. There were fund raising stalls selling all sorts of goodies and a tombola along with some outside games. The residents were able to sit out in the garden and listen to the choir and then tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits were handed round. I was so impressed with the care the staff showed to the residents and how welcome they made us feel. What a lovely way to integrate the community with residents.

As my husband has just been settling in, and we have no other care home to base my answers on, I can only say I seem sufficiently satisfied to agree to my husband staying there.

It is a lovely care home with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Cleaning good and chemical use appears controlled.

Following 4 admissions to hospital in 7 weeks, we finally persuaded my elderly frail mother to go into respite care for two weeks. Although initially reluctant, she thrived during the fortnight and decided to extend her stay & has now become a permanent resident. She is very well looked after, has made friends with both staff and residents & her only complaint is that she has gained weight because the food is so good! Knowing that she is in a safe place has given us a tremendous relief and peace of mind.

Mum has really enjoyed her time here. All the staff have been very friendly and attentive. Mum has participated in many activities including a trip to Lee on solent for lunch. Mum was here for respite care so the only reason she's leaving is that she doesn't really need this level of care at the moment. Although if and when she does we would definitely consider moving her back here

Staff keep us up to date with ongoing developments. They are unbelievably patient and kind. I can't praise them enough for being so gentle, cheerful and respectful. (Resident is unable to articulate/understand)

My Mum has Alzheimer's dementia and moved to Marnel Lodge 6 months ago. I am glad I chose Marnel, the staff are all very caring and there is a genuine family friendly atmosphere to the place. The staff made Mum's transition to the home a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. We were allowed to personalise her room with furniture, paintings and items from her own home and they arranged the labelling of her clothes. Mum took about three weeks to settle in, but staff were constantly on hand to guide her around and help her and encourage her to eat. Since moving in, Mum is a lot more engaged with her surroundings and what is going on. She enjoys participating in the different activities, has been on outings and has her own little patch of raised flower bed in the lovely tranquil garden. She also enjoys her weekly trip to the hair salon (on site) and having her nails done. Mum honestly thinks she is staying in a lovely hotel and smiles at the staff when they come up to her.

The whole Marnel team are compassionate and caring and from the moment mum moved in, we finally felt peace of mind that she was happy, well looked after and understood. The family were welcomed and included at all times.

Having had previous experience with care homes, Ashcombe by far is the best. Staff are friendly, management listen to concerns, rooms are pleasant and activities are varied and fun. I am very pleased that I choose Ashcombe for my mum and have no complaints.

Since the day I arrived I have always been treated with care and respect. Plenty of laughs along the way! My family have always been made welcome.

The home itself is beautiful and clean with a lovely garden and bistro for both the residents and families to enjoy when visiting.

Oh and food was fantastic and the service of it

My main visiting time with Mum is lunchtime as it is the only time of the day she has the energy to be up. I have always been welcomed to join in during this busy time and it is often a fun time and feels like family.
