Very welcoming and friendly and accommodating and helpful. Always friendly faces and has a calm atmosphere with quiet efficiency. The decor is very good as is the general upkeep. The staff are always checking if they can help us.

Thank you to all who looked after Ted, he got on well with the staff who treated him kindly and for their cheerful approach. Room very comfortable, food very good and served in delightful dining room. There were lots of interesting nooks where he could sit quietly and not be confined in a large room
with lots of other residents. Thank you for making the experience of leaving him with you than I expected and giving me time to recharge my batteries to carry on.

My mum has been in Florence Court since May and has settled in really well. She was very apprehensive when she first arrived understandably, but soon made friends and joined in with activities and had a couple of trips out for a cuppa or an ice cream. She has since moved up to memory lane and is as
happy as ever. She loves the staff and constantly thanks them for all that they do for her. We are so happy that she enjoying her time at Florence Court. It is a beautiful home, spotlessly clean and very modern and welcoming. The staff are always welcoming and very kind.

Whenever I go into Florence Court, I'm always impressed by the plush interiors, calm environment, smiley and welcoming members of staff and that's all staff, from the Office team to the Care team, to the kitchen team. Florence Court is a great place that caters for all residents with respect, dignity
and care. There is great attention to detail and interaction amongst both the staff and residents to accommodate individual needs/likes which is what any Daughter would want for her Parent. There are many activities to dip in and out of and all tge team are receptive and open to ideas. Thank you for all that you do.

Great afternoon visiting with other members of my Men's Shed to play card games, etc with some of the residents. We were well looked after with tea, coffee and cake (mmmm!). Lovely room, friendly staff and comfortable furniture. Great afternoon was had by all.

Well..what can I say ..this has been beyond my expectations.. mum came to stay for a respite 2weeks while we went on holiday. She loved it so much that she wanted to stay as a resident. She has got company now of her own age..outings and activities all week. Honestly if you could ask for a five
star hotel service/accommodation together with very kind and loving staff for your loved one..you couldn't get better. One member of staff, in particular, was amazing..there is nothing she wouldn't do . I'm sorry I am gushing but I'm so impressed and so happy for my mum..she's got her sparkle back ..thank you

Enjoyable stay at Florence Court. Lovely accommodation - warm comfortable room. I felt well cared for - attentive staff, some, in my view, outstanding! My only disappointment was the occasional meal. Overall, would recommend if you want to stay somewhere that feels more like a hotel, but with the care

From our first meeting with the home service advisor which was so professional the process has been extremely smotth. Mum has settled very quickly and views Florence Court as home.
She has quickly made friends and will join in some activities. The staff always involved and encourage her and her confidence
is growing. We love the feel of the home, all the staff are great and show real interest in the family.

Mum was made to feel so welcome and all of the staff are extremely friendly & helpful. Mum has settled in so much better than we could have imagined or hoped, which is of great comfort to us all. She has made friends with other residents, and appears to be so much happier than when she was living alone.

My 99 year old mother has lived in Florence Court since October 2023, Her background as a WAAF teleprinter during the 2nd WW contributed to her stoical, discrete & very private personality, always striving to be independent, hence the transition from living alone at home to a care home environment was
potentially challenging for her. However the staff at Florence Court have been magnificent in catering for her needs having taken the time to get to know her as a person and tailoring their input whether as carers, activity organisers, household & catering; nothing is ever too much trouble, indeed staff pop by her room to have a chat. The facilities are first rate, spotlessly clean & welcoming with plenty of activities. The dining facilities are excellent, home cooked food, a varied menu. There is regular opportunity for comment & feedback. Thankyou.

Florence Court stepped in at no notice to take my mother in law for 2 weeks respite care following a fall and treat at our local hospital. Thorough proffesional, exceedingly friendly and totally caring from first contact and throughout her stay. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and absolutely

My nan's been a resident at Barchester Florence Court Care Home for two years. The care, respect, dignity and compassion that every member of staff has is exceptional. My nan has experienced the highest level of care from management, care teams, maintenance team, housekeeping, kitchens, admin, activity
coordinators and reception staff. All have such warmth and understanding. Time has been taken to identify the care needs of my nan but also time taken to acknowledge and embrace the beautiful person that my nan was prior to her illness.
The compassion and kindness that my family has been given also is exceptional. Without the combined effort of all those employed at Florence, a difficult and heartbreaking situation would be simply unbearable but it is the staff who have enabled us to embrace and saviour crucial moments together, preserving my nan.
When the time comes, we'll reflect back on this experience and smile knowing that my beautiful nan got the exemplary care that she truly deserved.

My mother initially stayed in Barchester Florence Court Care Home on six-week respite after falling and breaking her arm. She decided to stay permanently as she enjoyed the company and various activities.

It was a difficult decision to find the right setting for my mum but we found it.
On walking into Florence Court we were met with a very warm welcome from reception, cool music and a bright, clean and inviting environment.
Debbie gave us a tour and one of the stand-out aspects was the relationships.
Everyone, staff and residents included, met us with bright smiles and wanted to chat. A real home-from-home feel.
My mum's room is bright, clean and cheery and she has been able to bring all her favourite things with her, which really helped with the transition.
She is loved, safe and has embraced all that is on offer enabling her to become more independent, physically active and mentally stimulated.
I cannot express how pleased I am with Florence Court I know that my mum is loved, stimulated both physically and mentally and has lots of opportunities to fill her life. The staff are so friendly, food is good quality and we are always made to feel welcome.

The care and support my mother received at Barchester Florence Court Care Home was exemplary. The staff were responsive and attentive to her needs. Nothing was too much trouble. They were also very engaging and appeared happy in their work.
The home itself is tastefully decorated and homely. The food
was very good, it is well presented to tempt one's appetite.
All in all, my mother's experience was such that she would like to live here permanently!

My father stayed in Barchester Florence Court Care Home for a few weeks while I was on holiday and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay! I was very impressed with the level of care provided; the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The home is beautiful, with spacious, well-laid-out rooms and
communal areas. Dad really enjoyed the D-Day outing to see the Red Arrows and the entertainment at the home during his stay. Dad's health and mental state were significantly improved by his stay there and we would not hesitate to use Florence Court in future.

I have worked in the care sector for over 20 years, and I joined Barchester Healthcare in 2021 as the Deputy Manager before being promoted to the General Manager in 2024 at Florence Court.


I am extremely proud of the outstanding and fulfilling care that we deliver on a daily basis. Enriching the lives of our residents is extremely important, and being able to do it in this amazing environment is wonderful.


I was really excited to progress in my career, and Barchester has extremely well supported me to do this. It brings me great joy to be the manager of such a beautiful home with an extremely hard-working team. Supporting our residents in this luxury setting is a privilege.

My home life can get very busy with a 3-dog and 2-cat household and 2 children ... but I love every minute of it and wouldn't change it for the world!

Hello, I'm Abi and I have proudly been part of the Florence Court team for the past three years. I started as an Activities Assistant, where I helped facilitate activities within the home, and during this time, I have loved getting to know our residents and helping to make every day special. Having been promoted to Activities Coordinator, my role is to plan, organise and deliver a wide variety of activities that bring enjoyment, stimulation, and a sense of community to everyone who lives here.


For me, the most rewarding part of my job is seeing residents smile, laugh and connect with others. I thoroughly enjoy taking the time to get to know all of the residents, learn about their hobbies, interests, and hear about their life stories. Every day is different, and this is what makes my role so unique and rewarding, to know you are enriching the lives of others.


Outside of work, I have a passion for travel and exploring new countries. I have been to over 25 countries and counting! I also love spending time with my lively Sprocker Spaniel, Maisie, who is the best adventure buddy.
