My wife came to Wood Grange for end-of-life care. That care could not be faulted. It gave her, despite her pains, a loving, caring environment. All the staff were pleasant and nothing, however difficult, was too much trouble. The caring did not stop with my wife; the same caring approach was given to
me and my daughter whenever we visited and we truly appreciated. Everything, and everyone from the managers down, was first what is should be.
My wife was only there for 9 days. but I am sure she benefited from the care and comfort given.

My wife has been a resident at Maple Leaf Lodge for 10 months now. Living at home with me previously was very difficult as she didn't know who I was. However, the incredible care and support by the management and staff has taken away her anxiety and she is so much happier, getting involved in activities
and outings. The home is modern, clean and beautifully decorated. The atmosphere is always friendly and homely, the standard of food is always excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely care home.

It's so difficult to review a residential home that offers such wonderful care and attention to its residents. I find the staff excellent and very attentive and approachable at any time with any care needs. Maple leaf lodge is a wonderfully appointed care home, attention to detail is immaculate and
the needs of residents is catered for wonderfully. When I visit my wife I am always greeted with welcoming smiles and updates of any attention my wife has needed during my absence. Activities for residents are numerous, everything from baking, painting, community singing, dancing and even off site trips to local places of interest, I feel secure in the knowledge that my wife is in the most wonderful and safe hands in the care of Maple Leaf Lodge.

After the unexpected passing of my wife, I needed help with my everyday household management and life in general. A period of respite was suggested, and I looked at several care homes to help me through a short period of one to two weeks. Most of the care homes visited were smelly, dirty, shabby homes,
was sugested, and I made an unanounced unexpected visit. I was welcomed by a pleasant, cheerful receptionist. Nature of my enquiry passed me on to the deputy, who, after reassurance of the admission criteria, I arranged a two week respite. The menu was superb, and the food served matched the excellent menu. The staff were amazingly helpful, caring and kind, particularly to those with special difficulties. After one day respite, I signed into the home permanently. I have been here for 2 months and do not regret my decision. Really wonderful environment provided - and games.

Our introduction to the home was during difficult circumstances. A father who had days to live and a mother who could no longer care for herself. The amount of work the home took on not only to ensure their new residents were safe and received all the care they needed, but the respect, clarity and help
they extended to us as a family helped more than they could possibly know. After Dad passed away the help mum received and is still receiving is in my view utter perfection. The staff across all departments are so utterly normal and switched on. I'm wondering if they're grooming us as future residents!

The care provided by the staff was excellent at all times. However, for most of the time my husband stayed at The Cedars, he was not able to eat the meals provided because they were too bland. I ended up taking in Heiz Soups and roasted chicken to ensure that he does have something to eat.
However,
during December a new chef was appointed and the meals did improve dramatically.

Always busy, planning and doing activities. No one is left out. Integration of all residents to enable full participation, but understanding when residents need space or rest.
The staff know all residents by name and have time and care for them all.
Family and visitors are made to feel most welcome
at all times. Updates, chats and laughs a plenty.

My mother has been in the Cedars at Bourne for over 11yrs, & is happy to call it her home. She receives excellent care from all of the staff & the management are approachable & supportive. In 11yrs of course there have been miner issues, but these have always been dealt with quickly & effectively. We
have no doubt that our choice of the Cedars was the best choice, & as a family we have no concerns, with the care, support & activities Mum receives on a daily basis.

Everything was excellent with one exception....
The telephone signal was dreaful my wife could not decifer what I was saying as it was as if I was under water. I did not contact my wife for two days. This made me very sad. My wife contacted the staff and twice they brought me one of their phones to
use. I did not like to ask for them to keep bring there phones to me. I would be happy to return again for respight if this was sorted.

You might think that my rating of 'excellent' in all categories is 'over inflated' but the fact is, this home is excellent. It looks nice and it is nice. Set in beautiful grounds, its idyllic. Every member of staff I encountered was so friendly and caring. Its clean, tidy, well maintained and very "fresh"
and "airy". The food is also to a very good standard/excellent standard. I came here due to a temporary incapacity and if I am infirmed again, this is where I shall come to.
Thankyou.
PS The bedrooms are great. So large and comfortable.

Our elderly father arrived at Newton House after losing his lifelong partner very suddenly whilst in a different care home. With nursing needs and subsequently diagnosed with vascular dementia; from my very first visit, everyone I met was always friendly, helpful and welcoming. The care shown to
my father was truly amazing, he was difficult and unwell but this never stopped anyone from supporting and nursing him. No matter how my father behaved or treated the staff, they were unfailingly cheerful and cared for him so well, Keeping him shaved and smart right to the last which was great comfort to the family.
If a visit was challenging, someone on the staff always noticed and offered support and understanding,
All of the staff welcomed any of us day or night, always with a smile, always supportive of us and so caring with my father, it was as close to being at home with your family as you can get. His passing was quiet and peaceful with our wishes as a whole family totally respected
