A truly lovely home with exceptional staff.

Excellent communication between staff and family.

Mum was very poorly when she arrived at Leonard Lodge at the end of July. At 94 she has many issues, a history of falls, failing health and is on Oxygen 24x7. Mum wanted to stay in her own home but it became apparent following 2 falls in 2 days and her unpredictable health, that it was not safe for her to do so. The staff have shown Mum much love and care in helping her transition. We can't thank them enough at what has been a very stressful time.

A great care home, the staff are so attentive, friendly and caring. My mother in law is a resident and I feel she is in a safe and secure environment, and can attend great activities. The refreshments for visitors are a bonus too.

My mum has been a resident of Pinetree for over a year. She tells me she feels safe here. The most important aspect when I was choosing her care home was how care was delivered. The care at Pinetree is outstanding. Every member of staff whatever their job care for the residents. They are cheerful, caring, responsive and dedicated. They know about each residents' needs and work hard every day to meet those needs. Thank you!!

I cannot recommend this care home enough. My dad had a wonderful week of respite and said it felt like a five-star hotel! The staff were incredibly kind, caring and helpful throughout his stay. A special thank you to the manager for being so professional, approachable and supportive. We felt completely reassured knowing Dad was in such good hands. Highly recommended!

My mum is being very well looked after by caring and supportive staff. I can approach the staff at any time and any queries are answered immediately. I am very happy with the care my mum receives at Ashlar House.

My mother arrived at Leonard Lodge a year ago. Initially there were a few teething problems but in March 2026 there was a change of Management & LL has changed out of all recognition. My mother is well cared for in all regards. The home is welcoming to relatives & quick to react to requests. I would have no hesitation in recommending LL.

Have visited several times a friend's husband who is staying for 2nd time at Ashlar for respite care. On all occasions he has been calm and happy and has displayed none of the distress & agitation he often shows. He has dementia. All the staff I met were warm and welcoming and clearly enjoyed their work. The facilities at Ashlar seem excellent and there seems to be a high staff resident ratio. Friend's husband was clearly enjoying his food (unusually) and was happy to participate in activities (again, this is unusual)

Our friend has been a resident at Ashlar House since the end of May 2026. It has taken him a while to adjust to the loss of his independence due to his frailty. My experience of Ashlar has been positive from cooks to senior members of staff. Everyone is so welcoming and engaging. The resident is very happy too. He talks of staff as being so helpful and approachable. Even on 'bad days' he will make comments such as 'you can't offend them, they take my abuse'. Obviously we ask him not to try and offend anyone - he says that he doesn't and apologises for his words and grumpiness. I would recommend Ashlar wholeheartedly. I'm grateful that I have peace of mind knowing he is happy and cared for and safe.

Immaculate Surroundings. A variety of comfortable seating to accomodate all needs A good variety of food and plenty of choice at all meals, games + quizzes to keep us entertained. The staff are all friendly and helpful and very proffessional. Although manuals are in room for the tv, coffee machine etc. it would be good to be shown how to use them. Will defnatley be having another stay here.

A comfortable and welcoming care home with most helpful assistants. The outings one goes on are always most enjoyable and well looked after on each trip out.
