My visits to Hazel Lodge, regarding my mother moving in, have always been so positive. The staff are continually welcoming and understanding. They took great care in meeting my mother's needs and gave us time to consider our decision.
The rooms are perfect with clean ensuite bathrooms and many activities
and facilities to use. Mum is feeling safe, comfortable and well looked after. Everywhere is clean and easy to walk around with a walker or wheelchair. The gardens are neat and tidy and again easily accessed for visitors and residents to enjoy. The Bistro provides lovely cake and hot drinks all day, every day which is a kind gesture for us all to use and enjoy.
Our family feel we have found a place where mum is treated very well by staff who always know what her day has been like and they communicate efficiently regarding her needs and desires. This happens whenever we visit or by a text or phone all if a little more urgent. This all helps us as a family.

My aunt has been a resident at Hazel Lodge for around a year. We are extremely happy with the care she receives. She is treated with respect, kindness and friendship. Her health and mobility have improved under their care.
The home is extremely well run, always immaculately clean and the staff are
welcoming and accommodating.
The food is of a very high standard, and residents and guests have the use of a communal ' cafe' to socialise. My aunt has benefited from the in house hairdressing, nail technician and activities.
We would recommend Hazel Lodge unreservedly.

I have been a patient at Sycamore Grove Home on two ocasions, firstly for 2 weeks and recently for 1 week. On both occasions I've found the culture to be compassonate and caring in the home. There was a daily programe each day for the resident to attend and I found very helpful. Also there was a range
for residents to attend eg a hair salon, a room for films, and a well kept garden for or exercise.
The food was very good in the dining room and staff waiting on us, they published a menu with 3 courses at lunch and evening meals. The medical staff were very good as I needed the catheter to be put on each night. The manager & the care home was very efficient and welcoming.
I would certainly return there if I needed too.

What can I say this home is just great. All the staff are so friendly & helped my Mum adjust to her restbite for 2 weeks. This was Mum's second restbite here & she has obviously made lots of friends. On her first visit she was a bit anxious but this time she was very happy & relaxed. Which means when
we need restbite care it's exactly that we don't have to worry about Mum at all we know she's getting the best care possible.

Mortain Place Eastbourne.
The staff have all been incredibly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They all seem to go out of their way to ensure guests have everything they meed and are comfortable. The entire place is kept spotlessly clean and the refreshment station is kept supplied, the food served

My elderly mother was very well cared for by the superb and friendly staff during the nearly 4 week period she stayed at Sycamore Grove. Her and our only concern in the heat was the fact that the windows do not properly open and the lack of air con.

My Mother has been at Hazel Lodge for 8 months now and she is receiving the type of care that we could not give her at home. Her days are now filled with companionship and activities in a safe and caring environment.
She recently visited Beauport Park golf club with members of the Barchester team
and played a few holes.
Seeing the photos on Socials brought a tear to my eye, Mum looked so happy and it was good to see that she still has it. A big thank you to the team that arranged this and we look forward to the next time she gets to do something she has loved for many years.

My mum has been here in Mortain for 5years.i would not hesitate to recommend this care home ,although the costs are high the standard of care is overall excellent, and all the carers do a excellent job and go up and above ,to treat and care for my mum ,like they would there own family.they keep
you informed on issues that come up on her care , and medication etc.If u see any when visiting they are happy to answer any questions on your relatives care.The cleaning team do a excellent job keeping the unit spotlessly clean.there is quiet a lot going on with activities and outings and the staff do a outstanding job.when I see one of the staff around she often updates me on what my mums done.The environment when you enter seems happy and relaxed.My mum is in the upstairs unit ,and again the environment is very relaxed and residents seem relaxed and happy.

My Mum who is a pretty straight talker always praises the staff, the views and her room. And she is definitely eating well. The staff here really seem to care and the ethos from management downwards seems to be to consider the best interests of the resident at every decision point. It's very reassuring

Mum has been at Wadhurst Manor for 6 years now. I can honestly say that she has been very happy there. The whole team are just amazing. The staff always have time to chat with the residents despite being busy & the nursing staff are excellent at keeping me up to date with mum & her health & care package
requirements. Activities are fab. Mum was always a 'doer' & at WM has no time to get bored. It is a super environment & gives the family and I great peace of mind.

I have a friend who lives at Dudwell St Mary Care Home and I am so impressed in the way she is looked after . The people looking after her are amazing and she feels like home being there. The staff made great efforts to help her settle and now I am so happy to see her thriving each time I visit, I couldn't
recommend the place enough.
