Thank you. Very kind words. I'm so glad you have a wonderful experience at Lydfords.
My dear father-in-law was cared for by the wonderful staff at Lydfords from February until may 2026 when he sadly died. They took such beautiful care of him, coaxed this shy man out of his room and into activities, laughed with him, took care of his every need and looked after him at the end. We so appreciate the care they took and how they looked after us. A wonderful hotel-like home, comfortable and clean, with a friendly, compassionate, good-humoured atmosphere. Delicious meals and fresh cake every day! Beautiful gardens and outside spaces. Thank you for everything xx

My mother spent over three years at Lydfords before she died in early January. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received. The team of carers are exceptional as are all the staff who work there. The carers are all mostly full time so no agency workers employed. So friendly and approachable nothing is too much trouble. The shared facilities are smart and it feels more like a hotel than a care home. Food is good and always beautifully presented. I have recommended Lydfords to anyone who might need a care home in the future! With many thanks to all.

My mother has settled very well at Lydfords and we are delighted with the care, compassion and professionalism of all the staff. They are attentive to detail and have listened to both Margaret and us in preparing for and managing her integration. Margaret has been encouraged and supported to join in with all activities and, despite her misgivings, she is clearly feeling safe, secure and happy at Lydfords. We feel most welcome to visit and to raise any concerns or ask questions. All the staff are receptive and helpful. We are delighted with Lydfords!

Lydfords Care Home has come up trumps. At a very difficult time it has provided exceptional care & respite for the very different needs of my parents. What stands out most is the lack of pressure or fuss alongside a feeling that the staff are there ready for anything and to step in at the appropriate times. Nothing gets missed. The care level is exceptionally genuine, the food very good, personal approach to activities offered and calm extremely understanding & helpful management. Bravo.

It feels sad to leave! Mom has been treated so well at Lydfords. She has put on weight (which she needed to do!) The food was so good! Everyone has been so kind + patient. Mum has dementia so needed to go to a nursing home but while I was looking for one I was helped and put under no pressure which during a fairly stressful time, I can't thank the manager enough for. I would highly recommend Lydfords - special thanks to the manager and 4 other members of staff - best wishes.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review, It has been a pleasure getting to know you both and supporting you. Its great to hear that Mum enjoyed her time with us at Lydford's, I will be sure to pass on your lovely review to the team
The staff from all departments; Hospitality, Housekeeping, Care, Life Enrichment, Maintenance, Admin and Management really do work together as one team, which is reflected in the care that all the residents receive.
Lydfords is very much a community. The premises are well maintained with a homely feel. The dining experience is fantastic, the tables are always beautifully set and the food quality is superb, with a variety of choices for all meals. The chefs do an amazing job of the presentation, which is equally as fabulous as the taste.
The care staff are truly exceptional, delivering care that is personal to Mum. The level of communication that I receive is excellent.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lydfords and the team that make it a very special place.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review, I will be delighted to share this with the whole team. We very much pride ourself at Lydford's of having a whole home approach and we are happy that Mum has chosen to stay with us at Lydfords

Hello, my name is Gary, I am the Home Services Advisor at Lydfords.
Although I’m new to the care sector, I’ve worked in Sales & Marketing in the area for many years, having founded the local radio station in Uckfield back in 2003. I’m a familiar face (and voice) in the local business community and attend many local networking groups. I’ve also organised a number of business and community events over recent years. I’m part of the committee at the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce and the organising team for the Uckfield Business Awards, where in 2024 I was the winner in the Business Personality of the Year category.
I look forward to welcoming you to Lydfords to show you around this lovely home and its wonderful team and facilities.
