The care team are passionate about providing the best support to every individual whilst ensuring each person has their own personalised care plan to be able to continue living their life to their full potential whilst receiving the appropriate level of care and support.
The home is spread out over two floors with the main dining room located downstairs, where everyone can meet and enjoy their meals together, creating a social and enjoyable atmosphere. There is also a small private dining room for private family events or it can be used for a quieter dining experience.
The village itself has local amenities that residents have access to on a daily basis with the support of the team if needed. From the local post office and shop, pub, church and hairdressers. Alternatively they can choose to use the hairdresser that uses the in-house salon every Thursday, allowing them to continue to make their own independent choices.
The life enrichment team plan weekly activities that have been tailored to the interests of each resident from individual or small group activities to large events involving the local community.
Residents enjoy regular trips including visits to art galleries, theatre trips, lunch, bowling and national trust gardens. The team also support residents to arrange and enjoy independent interests with friends including Bridge, scrabble and sporting events.

From my initial visits to moving my family member into the care home my experience was excellent and I would highly recommend Lydfords to anybody looking for a home for their family member or friend. The home is extremely well presented and maintained and most importantly the staff are excellent, being both friendly and helpful, carrying out their jobs to the highest possible standard, and treating my family member with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff and care home made this whole process, which is always difficult and emotionally challenging, as easy as possible and have been a huge source of comfort and reassurance to me and the rest of the family. Lydfords have exceeded my expectations in every way possible and I cannot speak highly enough about the home and its staff.

My mother spent over three years at Lydfords before she died in early January. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received. The team of carers are exceptional as are all the staff who work there. The carers are all mostly full time so no agency workers employed. So friendly and approachable nothing is too much trouble. The shared facilities are smart and it feels more like a hotel than a care home. Food is good and always beautifully presented. I have recommended Lydfords to anyone who might need a care home in the future! With many thanks to all.
